Video segment from the Today show this morning. Not much new here. Police are still reviewing hundreds of pieces of information. Haven't ruled anything out. Still seem to be based around Kendall. Sounds like they have their hands full.

I'd assume it would require some planning, to observe, check out their routines etc
Well they didn't even live there, they were visiting granma, arrived the previous day.
How was kidnapper supposed to know when the family was going to arrive?
Could be someone known to family?
This is a theory I've seen floated around: someone in Kendall could have found out that the family was visiting. It's totally possible that a Grandma would tell people that their family was visiting. Given that the family had visited several times before, William wasn't completely new to the area.

Per latest news report it's not targeted abduction after all.
They also say unlikely he wandered off.

Soooooooooo many discrepancies in this case:
-first time William had visited his grandmother's house : the family had visited grandmother's house previously
-William's older sister : William's younger sister: She is 4, 5, 6, etc. - must have even been reported to have been 2 at the time if she was 'younger'
-William was last seen in the front yard : in the back yard : on the verandah : in the side yard
-William and his sister were alone : mom and grandma were in the house : mom and grandma and sister were in the house : grandma was still sitting in the yard and only mom was in the house
-LE leaning toward targeted abduction : LE not leaning toward targeted abduction
Hard to keep track !
Any other discrepancies? Bad reporting ? different stories from different people? different stories from same people at different times?

Personally, I think it's bad reporting in most cases. The police never seem to have new information, so the media invents something out of nothing. They know people are hungry for updates. E.g. the media claims that police are looking at a targeted abduction, but the fact is - the police are looking at ALL possibilities, including a targeted abduction.

As for the layout of the house, it's on a corner block and it's actually quite confusing as to where the front yard and back yard are. I'm not surprised the reporters have been inconsistent in the descriptions of where the kids were playing.

"It was not the first time the family had visited Kendall, but their visits had become more frequent in recent months after William’s grandfather died earlier in the year."

I wonder if there was any kind of consistency about these 'recently more frequent' visits. Every other week or so? Something a local became somewhat accustomed to? Wonder if police are looking really closely at the people that live in that direct area, and people who frequently use Benaroon Drive on their way for their daily/regular walks, perhaps on trails through the forest.

Thank goodness for people power keeping this little guy in the news. So many people following this case now. I wish there was a reward offered, especially if police really are stumped :( or at least a campaign...

I think 60 Minutes are showing repeats at the moment but it would be good if they feature something on him when they are back on board.

'Has anyone seen my little brother?': The heartbreaking question William Tyrell's sister asks neighbours

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...r-months-vanished-grandmother-s-backyard.html

Whoa
First they reported William's sister was younger than him, now that she is older.
If there was an abductor, a 4 year old surely can tell. I am guessing she didn't see anyone.
If true, they played together, when he disappeared.

In the latest round of news stories, it's said that they were playing hide-and-seek. William went away from the porch to hide around the corner in the yard where there is a lot of foliage and presumably where he was abducted. That's probably why the sister didn't see anything. The adults went to search for him after he didn't come back from hiding after 5 minutes.

it's taken me awhile but there had been something bothering for some time. There was a case back in August of 2010 in Arizona -- nice ''normal'' family situation but 2 yr old male toddler wandered off into the wilds. He did a circle tour of about 4 miles ((clad in shirt and diapers only)) and was found deceased ((dehydration quite quick in high heat)). I bring this up because demographics same. Mother of 4 was taking a nap - older kids in charge kind of thing etc. In other words other family members present -- in this case no charges etc.

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...boldt-2-Aug-2010/page24&highlight=emmett+trap

quicker to watch the Nancy Grace video interview ((yes it is bearable no screaming etc))

http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/08/04/arizona.missing.toddler/

and....here's the kicker -- high SAR involvement and locals took to horseback ((just like in this case in Australia))to try and find him....

synopsis article here:

Interesting quote:
A helicopter using an infrared heat seeking device scanned the area around the Trapp home. The boy's trail was eventually picked up by bloodhounds.
Am I reading too much into it, or does the fact that the trail was eventually picked up by bloodhounds mean that the childs scent was not immediately picked up? I wonder how long the dogs kept looking for Williams scent?

In the case of Emmett....the family dog initially went with him too so perhaps that has something to do with it....IIRC dog returned home solo.

Homicide police have raided properties on the state's mid-north coast in the search for missing toddler William Tyrell, with detectives now almost certain the three-year-old was abducted.

It is understood computer equipment and a single mattress was seized from a unit in Laurieton, south of Port Macquarie, searched as part of the ongoing investigation into the little boy's disappearance four months ago.

The items are expected to undergo urgent forensic examination as police continue their inquiries.
