Press conference at 11.30am. In a few minutes. Watching ABC News channel.

The Speddo bit comes from the owners surname
That's a bit of a stretch to connect the 2 words, ? Surname and pawn shop, not 🤬🤬🤬🤬 as in 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, my feeling innermost is that he is a foster child and someone in the natural family wanted him back.
Does that sound feasible to anyone else. I pray so.

police press conference ch 9 now 11.30am
no new news really, nobody arrested, confirmed items removed from property

  • #405
Someone from his bio family sounds feasible- best case scenario, really. I would think the police would have been onto that pretty fast. If they are pumping septics it doesnt sound good though- unless they are searching for hidden evidence, rather than a person.

Well, that was a very brief conference. Nothing really different than what MSM is reporting, that I heard. Still 'not counting anything out'.

Supt Paul Fehon gave the press conference. He wouldn't give much away... just what we already know from the news. He kept saying he would not comment on the operation. He did say, when asked, that the homicide police are leading the investigation... but I think we already knew that.
His voice was shaky as though he was struggling to contain his emotions. My heart is sinking.

yes, i noticed supt paul fehons emotions too, his eyes looked very sad.
feel sorry for all the police and people working tirelessly on this case, and other cases involving children, the sadness must be overwhelming at times

I thought that too...about his voice. My heart sank also. But I'm desperately clinging on to hope. I live about an hour and a half away. I hope they find him alive. Have to keep hoping.

Homocide detectives says a lot tbh. I so wish I could believe there could be a happy ending to this case, but I just don't feel it

I missed the press conferenceis there a link to a video at all?

Oh yeah, he also said in the press conference that this is not being treated as a breakthrough, just another line of investigation.
I drove past the place being excavated just last week! I must've looked at it several times. It is on the corner of the main road leading into the estate. Dozens of people drive past it every day. It did cross my mind that William could have been taken by someone in the region, and how it would be awful it happened near my family... but how on earth do you know?? Unless you have incredibly good intuition.

It has access lids above ground.

Septic Tanks provide an onsite sewage disposal system for homes on the urban fringe and in rural or remote locations. Effluent flows from the toilet, bathroom, laundry and kitchen into a tank, where liquids, fats, oils and solids are separated.

Catching up, yes we have one, basically there is about 30 cm above the ground in a box, for access and the rest is underground. Basically you drain it by sending a pipe in through the top (well you don't drain it yourself, but a guy in a truck comes, drains it into the truck and leaves) .. this is usually a maintenance thing.

disused cisterns, wells, abandoned septics all are creepy places to hide things and or be the cause of fatal accidents IME...

I really doubt the police would be ripping this couples homes and properties apart if they weren't onto something and finding things along the way, wonder if the grandchildren are still with them tonight or will be staying somewhere else?

  • #419
I want to think they are blood relatives and someone wanted the child back with family. But the back hoes searching the fields and the search of the septic tanks seem so ominous.

that's an excellent question and I don't know how these searches work out for the occupiers of the property. Are they supposed to ''stand by'' or are they escorted somewhere else?
