Hi Karinna, I think you are placing harsh judgement on the members here.

'Hatred' is not an emotion that I've felt has been caste upon BS or anyone else ( certainly there is 'hatred' for the despicable acts that been committed by some who have been discussed in the course of our sleuthing.)

For sure there is interest in BS & his activities, and that interest & subsequent enquiry will naturally come with various levels of sentimentality, dredged often from one's own often deep seated experiences & emotions. Personally, I try to be aware of that.

It's just my personal feeling that you tend to sway to the 'positive' side for BS and I'm keen to hear your reasons for that.

I for what it's worth, I agree that he, and everyone else, is entitled to a fair & honest opportunity, and we are blessed here with courts that mandate that everyone is 'innocent', unless 'proven' guilty.
BS is getting his opportunity now to prove his 'innocence' in relation to some previous activities, and once that is resolved the future will evolve..

All just my personal opinion 😳

Hi Warshawski. Point out to me where i mentioned any members from here in my post please?
I don't just read here LOL. I have read other commentary on other news articles/sites about this case as well. Vicious people that don't even have a clue IMO. Not just about BS but his wife too, and it has been disgusting without any trier of fact involved. There have been some awful posts here too, just have to read back over 30 threads, and it's there from time to time.
But i'm sick of having to defend my position on my own opinions, and get denigrated for having them.
If BS is guilty and found to be so, then he will be fair game anyway, but yes, it will happen in the legal sense and that won't be our call anyway.

Karinna, the specific reference to sleuthing in the post - below - definitely pointed to (unnamed) members here, and not 'commentary on other sites'. Which is why some/many of us felt very offended by the post.

Opinions on the persons and subjects within the topic are fine, but opinions on other members opinions are not within TOS.
We can agree with them, or not agree with them. That is pretty much it.

"This is not just sleuthing, it is absolute hatred for someone that is a target of that hatred."

Regardless of whether Spedding is guilty or not? no one at this stage knows. And just because some people want to put him under the jail yesterday without an arrest or charges by the police in WT's case, reminds me of the old church inquisitions.
This is not just sleuthing, it is absolute hatred for someone that is a target of that hatred. And IMO it's just wrong. Until he is proven guilty in a court of law or not, maybe judgement should be reserved.

Yep I certainly am. If I could I would post the messages but I’m sure that would be breaking rules here

Time to settle me thinks. .. deep breaths help :)

Sleuthing on any criminal case just doesn't pertain to WS's. People elsewhere on other sites do it too. What is your point? And i have read some very nasty commentary here too, i made my position clear.

I have made my point. And have made it very clearly.

We are not to reference other sites like this either. That is why there are **** in the links if you try to link them.

Yeah, and so have i. As i stated earlier if you have a problem with my post alert a moderator.

O.K..I find the whole BS thing a bit of police beat up too. Cloaks n daggers. But i'm sure he must be relevant in some way?

I'm wondering if it's more the fact that Police theorise BS is privy to info vital in cracking the case, but because of maybe a shonky deal or the fear of someone he refuses to speak up? Did he meet with another poi, provide help to them,(maybe $$ from the pawn shop?) only to realise he was now in deep doodah because they were involved and he was complicit?
Could he have received some ill gotten goods for pawn at he time of WT disappearance? Could he have been visiting a mistress and can't use her as an alibi? Is he covering for a loved one?
Just thinking outside the square.

I know Police are interested in him for some reason..but is it THE reason everyone suspects?
Could he simply be a link in the chain that cops need to figure it all out, so are therefore hammerin' him til he talk?
All MOO...just puttin it out there.

well said Lou Lou ... there are always many options .... and I'm sure LE are playing them all to the Max. .. and if BS can provide something of use, I so hope he does, as I do for anyone who may have a hint or inkling of anything.

its about a little boy FGS ...

Go for it, Whangarei. Please don't sit back and wait for others to look more broadly. Most of us have been here for 3+ years and have looked at every angle we can think of. Which is where many of us have drawn our current conclusions from.

I would not want anyone to think that we have jumped on any initial bandwagon and have never got off to have a good look at every other scenario we can think of. For those who choose to read back through the threads, all the angles we have looked at are evident.

Very true SA, however I would certainly encourage any one with new information or new angles to present them here.

Obviously there is a stone still to be turned ...

The pipe.
The shirt.
I imagined the shirt got into a drain pipe from inside the house or down the toilet and into the septic but then I thought could it be possible it was on the roof and made its way into the downpipe and then into the storm water drain.

You know what TGY ...I've grown to learn that anything is possible .. and hey, we all have our shirts on the roof.
(I'm not making light of your comments, I value your comments heaps. Think I'm exhausted .. Talk later 💤)

Websleuths: Citizen detectives and professionals helping police solve crimes

At 8.38am, on April 28, 2012, a member of true-crime forum Websleuths posted on a thread about missing Brisbane woman Allison Baden-Clay: "I'm out this way and I kept getting eerie feelings around Kholo Creek overpass. I know it probably sounds silly, but it's the 'what if'..."

News that a body had been found was posted on the site at 9.22pm the following day. At 10.22pm, the member – whose plan to look at the area that morning fell through — wrote, "Look, she's [at Kholo Creek]… I wish I called the police. This is freaking me out a little."

If a cop should ever have a light bulb moment because our thoughts and theories then that’s a good thing.

Do you really think the last umpteen pages about a princess being offended will keep them reading our thread about the search for William Tyrrell?

C’mon guys, this is not a freakin’ psychology forum.

Unfortunately/fortunately, Aussies are not dobbers, so we do not report offensive posts enough. I think it may be time to start, to avoid continuous deterioration of the thread.

Please don’t discredit our sleuthing abilities.

Our own Doc Watson-
another Websleuths member, Steve*, a doctor, contacted them about the case. Like other Australian forum members, he communicated with Fairfax Media via email
Gerard Baden-Clay's defence team unsuccessfully applied for bail after her autopsy showed high levels of the antidepressant Zoloft, which Allison had been prescribed, arguing she may have taken an overdose.

Steve investigated the suicide theory, which was being discussed on Websleuths, and found a just-published scientific paper arguing an elevated reading is unconnected to the amount of the drug taken, due to how the body breaks it down. He sent the information to the DPP, which used it in court to discredit the idea.
Dozens of experts, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, teachers and prison officers, have joined Websleuths.

In the podcast timeline that I have been reading, it states that on the morning that William went missing ...

11.06 am... the police arrive
11.12 am... the dog unit is dispatched.
11.44 am... SES informed
12.52 pm... the police helicopter takes to the sky.
1 pm ...100 people join in search

Reference - 60 Mins - journo Chris Rowley being first on the scene

I hadn't realised that dogs were brought in immediately. Thought it was worth a mention. Something to add to our info pile.

FYI - the person that made that timeline has made it from MSM reports, she is not associated with the podcast at all, it's just posted on their FB page (and many other SM sites).

IMO the timeline, although it is of interest, has been put together with 'selective' MSM reports. IYKWIM - we all know how differently MSM was reporting in the beginning.

Again, please don’t discredit our sleuthing abilities. Rant over.

Rachelle Louise denied Gittany being able to pick up Lisa Harnham to throw her over the balcony.

I sent this photo off showing otherwise and I was contacted by the producer who was extremely surprised.

That was a great move you made with that one, TGY. Yes, many members here have contacted various authorities and/or MSM to pass along information and inquire first-hand about proceedings. We are far more involved than some people realise, because we don't often discuss our actions on-thread.

Some members have formed loose relationships with journos. And I recall in one case, Morgan Huxley, a journo was very active with WS members. In Allison's case, too, I believe.

There are also many times, in the US, that various members have assisted authorities with info from cold cases, unidentified deceased persons, as well as current cases.

Thanks for that. I have noticed a few things in the timeline that I have questioned, as we have been so involved from the very start. Some things have jumped out at me.

Incredibly we are being told otherwise.

I’m scrolling over the whiteants on this thread as they will eat away at the very foundation of us being here.
I wanted to post just a snippet of our prior successes and for us to own them.

Truly my rant is now over.
