Yes you did imply the were related, by the quote and reply.

I don't need to read back I've been here from the start, I was catching up on today's posts [emoji19]

It was said they had an alibi

I said yet BS had no phone records of FGM. Why do they even have to be related? Its a contradiction in essence.

Family alibi's, phone records missing. Either way, its not a good look.

Maybe the BS phone records which were missing contradicted the family alibi's which is what I was implying.

So in order to get all his ducks in line, his phone records were deleted to put him with his family at that time.

You couldn't delete phone records from FGMs home phone anyrate. Don't know why someone who has been here all along would make that assumption. Obviously should know the story.

Why would FGM delete records if she decided to use a mobile phone when calls can be expensive and poor reception which is why FF went to do a video call or similar.

Albi's say he was here. Tower records say elsewhere. So you can see how they are related.

It's okay. The implication wasn't clear to me either. I just slid on by the post, because I didn't quite get it.

Spedding did, however, acknowledge the missed call. Not sure when he did that. Was it in his 10-page statement? Or was it when he went back to the police station independently to clear up some matters?

I think he told porky pies in his 10-page statement, and may have tried to retract/explain them somehow, when he went back to the police station that day.

Someone didnt want their tower records showing up in the wrong place.

  • #385
The proof is where there is nothing. Looking for what is not seen.

Phone comes on, connects to the tower where he is supposed to be with the alibi's. The missed calls pile on, or they were deleted as a precautionary measure. Only in the morning? Alibi conflict?

Without a doubt. Not smart enough to know that whatever he did to his phone or call log, those records are there, for 2+ years.

What changed her mind?

Friends said Ms Tyrrell is not ready to speak about William's disappearance.
'We just want him home, we are happy poor,' one said on Facebook in response to offers for TV interviews.
Karlie Tyrrell has told friends she plans to keep quiet about her son's disappearance - and says she will keep reading about herself 'unless Eminem raps my life story'

On the morning William disappeared, Mr Spedding was supposed to be at the house to carry out repairs, but he was unable to contact William’s grandmother by phone, Mr Youngberry says.
Instead, at that “crucial time” when William went missing, the Speddings were sitting at the Buzz Cafe in Laurieton, 10km from Kendall, according to Mr Youngberry.
“They have got proof that they were at the cafe because he paid for the coffees by card,” he said.
Mr Spedding and his wife then attended a presentation across the road at Laurieton Primary School, where one of the grandchildren was receiving an award.
Investigators were not aware of this detail before they questioned Mr Spedding this week, Mr Youngberry said.

Man ‘at cafe’ when William disappeared
January 23, 2015

Geez ..... it took him a while to remember he had coffee with the wife....after the raids, in fact.
I wonder what he did say he was doing in the 10 page statement?
There was all that confusion in the beginning as to whether he was in Dunbogan - am or pm.
Though, 2pm seems to be the consensus. It has never been confirmed by LE, has it?.

Hindsight is easy. I would have been all over the CAFE wifi account and the PUB wifi account to check metadata

Resource $$$ are always an issue

Don't tell me Eminem agreed....:D

Phones are different today. maybe someone went dark for a while with the battery out?

Surely police could have checked tower records.

You can only imagine when a correctional facility is built in Wellington, the associated security improved.

Best move to a town with tower voids like out front FGMs.

Yeah he's just awaiting the outcome of her current drug and police spitting incidents before signing on. I'm sure it will be fine

It wasn't not too late, once they heard the story. Metadata must be retained for 2+ years these days. Has been that way since the 'new' anti-terrorism laws tabled in Feb 2015. And before that (during William's disappearance) they all retained the data for 9 months or more anyway.

If his phone was pinging in Laurieton, they will know. And they will know when it was pinging.

The cafe receipt is likely from Margaret, she probably did attend the assembly. The manager of the cafe said it was Spedding she hadn't seen in a long time.

Seriously, it doesn't matter. Didn't back then either. It was only less than 4 years ago. The supplier has always stored the message, it only gets relayed on when it can deliver. No ping, no delivery.

He got the missed call/message, he says he tried to call back. Where was he when that missed call/message came in? What time was it when he got it?

Yes, he could have gone off the map for a while. If he had no wifi connected, no GPS, no battery in.

I personally think this was unplanned. He was just trying to cover his trail afterwards, not before. Everything indicates that to me.

Even if BS phone was off.
It will look mighty sus, if the wife's phone was pinging at Laurieton. But the local repair man's phone footprints could not to be found anywhere until ??pm.
But that would indicate some intention, wouldn't it?
imo
