Apparently, it applies to a person caught with more than two million images and videos of adults abusing children .......

Judge Shanahan said Clancy's possession of child abuse material was not a victimless crime and that even the animated and CGI images and films resulted in real children being harmed down the line.
"It is fuelling the actual abuse of children," Judge Shanahan said.

He noted that Clancy had no criminal record and that his family and friends were standing by him despite the offending.

Clancy was given two years' probation during which he must attend behaviour change programs.
A conviction was not recorded.

IMO - This is a great example of ' the world gone mad'.

Judge Shanahan noted 'All he Noted' but then let down the Victims he's expected & empowered to provide justice for.

Empty words for sure -waste of time & tax payer money to have them written.

Wonder how high J Shanahan holds his head, especially when he looks himself in the mirror!

This behaviour is not acceptable in a genuine judicial system, but I do believe that ultimately Good will Prevail.

Having said all that, I'm not interested in debating judgements etc. I just want to find William.

Can we please focus on those aspects ?

I think we are biding our time until the next round of the inquest, Warsh.

We have exhausted everything that we know. And the new lead detective has not spoken publicly yet.

Maybe just roll and scroll if it doesn't interest?

I agree, some of these judges ...... grrr.

Are you imagining someone with a predilection for fostered children, or that someone would see fosters as an easier target?

Your 2nd point. Someone that knew a lot of information about the fcarers and their plans that week.

You may be right. Why? If he rang, he had to take the risk that he'd be speaking to someone. I wonder what time he intended to make available--before or after the Dunbogan job, or was Dunbogan flexible?

Edit: OK, if it was a message, perhaps he was willing to offer the afternoon knowing he wouldn't have to follow through, and he would have said something different in a conversation.

I wonder when the arrangement was made for BS to fix the machine on the 18th September. He states that date on the youtube video he posted on the anniversary of his 1st visit.

The connection was thru BS sister married JJH wasn't it? And BS once lived with a woman in Cambelltown who bears the 1st and 2nd name as his current wife's cousin.
1st point acknowledged PT - 2nd point befuddles me - maths not my strong point

He asks if she recalls a message from Bill Spedding that afternoon after William vanished saying “that he had the parts and was able to attend that afternoon”. She says she recalls her mother relaying it to her at some point. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

I guess I am still wondering if BS left a voice message and that is what was relayed to ffc. Or whether he did indeed speak to fgm.
It was a relative of BS that said he spoke to someone wasn't it?

Given FFC had made a call to Spedding at 9.03am on 12th when he phoned back did he leave a message personally with FGM to pass onto FFC?

The question posed at inquest is rather ambiguous. Legals normally ask a question they already know the answer to from my 1st hand experience.

You have first hand experience ?

I think that means, that he was taken because he met an abductor and it's not the fault of the foster system or the foster carers. But it doesn't mean that his foster status couldn't have been a factor in the abductor selecting William, of all children.

Perhaps both children were targeted and call of nature took sibling out of harms way.

The perps definitely knew all plans of the family. FGM house had been recently for sale. Would someone inspecting the house acting as a prospective purchaser, to check out the property.

Were there photographs of the children and fcarers on display?

Was the property sale publicly advertised or a private sale with help of family members?

That was my question. When BS called in the afternoon, did he speak to the fgm or did he just leave a message?
Yes, legals do ask questions to get a desired response. That being that BS did phone the home in the afternoon...imo
I guess BS phone records would have indicated an afternoon call was made even if his phone log didn't.
The legal did not ask anything about a morning call from BS however.

I think BS phone logs will be brought up if available at the inquest . IMO something doesn’t fit with his phone .

If I was intent on abducting a child, I think I’d just stop at a playground or wait for a child on their own in a reasonably quiet plce.
If it was only William I was after, I cant imagine lurking around fgm house for days on end, on the off chance that he would run around the house by himself. Sure it did happen but it could have been an exercise in futility.
I cant get past it being a random unplanned kidnap, and can see the perp thinking a few minutes later what the heck have I done.

I don't consider anyone was waiting around for days at the sight. There may have been something very particular about William and his sister that promoted the perp into action. I believe both children were initially targetted.

Was there another set of fcarers or prospective adoptive family that were very disappointed at not receiving the children?

Was there someone who had children removed by FACS and sought replacement children?

Is there anything said previously about a morning call from BS possibly in response to the call from FFC who said she had left a message at 9.03? Stated at inquest from memory.

Yes, I think he is going to spend a bit of time on the stand ... if his alibi hasn't been able to be confirmed.

If it has been confirmed, I cannot imagine why he has been called to the inquest.
If his alibi is confirmed, would he be of any real help at the inquest? He could be as effective and not waste inquest time by just being a page or two of notes in the police brief of evidence - if his alibi is confirmed.

Well said, why don't we all just say everyone is guilty of a crime they've allegedly committed, even if they've been to court and had charges dismissed or withdrawn.

Back in the thread everyone was saying GJ charges are only alleged at this stage and not to hang him until it's gone to court, so whatever the out come it is for him are we all saying we'll just call him guilty no matter what the outcome is....BS hasn't been found GUILTY of anything so as the saying goes innocent until proven guilty , just like the majority of you all think for GJ at the moment innocent until proven guilty.

Hi CC, in understanding your sentiments, I'm not about to espouse a Guilty verdict until it's proven in a court of law.

Similarly however, I'm not about to espouse a Not Guilty verdict - and there in lies the dilemma re BS.
There has not been delivered a 'Not Guilty' verdict.

Please all, just pray for honesty & answers.

I think with the people involved there is no honesty and answers .
