Perhaps not. It might mean, that they can speak for sure for his former status as a person of interest, but they can't or won't comment on his current status...And, a "former person of interest" - Does that mean he is no longer a P.O.I??

I know what the linked article says but the Daily Mail is not known for its accuracy. That’s why I posted the original story from Nine who ran it on A Current Affair. I’d say it’s poor reporting from the DM.
Hi Wex, as I recall when PS was interviewed on camera and asked whether he knew BS, his response was not a definite No . He was a pretty volatile character in the footageBBM
I don't know of any links but I am interested to see if there are. There is so little known about PS it is hard to know. I wonder if he was a member of one of the grandparent as parent groups? They are both of the same demographic but that is little to go on.

Yes that’s fair, in comparison to BS cool demeanour . What’s more telling , the aggressive response of AJ and PS or the cool cucumber BSHe did appear to be a bit of a raging bull, however, if I was innocent, but suspected of something, had Police sniffing around me, making me worried, anxious and nervous, then the media, come bounding out of bushes, microphones in hand and camera in my face, asking questions about a little boys disappearance, I don't think I would be showing my meekness either.
The media know how to manipulate a person and get them to react-IMO.
He could too though, be someone that may have been involved in this heinous crime. MOO.

Very interesting...GJ media releases always seemed to be reaching out to a particular someone, "If you are protecting someone" etc etc...so that has me thinking is the unnamed POI to be called an associate or more so a relative of PS.
On Wednesday the 25th June, 10 daily done an exclusive with PS, he said some interesting word's, I can't get the link as I've only been able to find the segment via 10play app.
Could someone help me on how I could get the link plz?
Because I can't link atm this will have to be IMO
I guess we don’t know who will be called up at inquest ? Or do we , is there any official list
Thank you
Axed top cop expected to be grilled at the William Tyrrell inquest over his 'intense interest' in washing machine repairman Bill Spedding
Former homicide detective Gary Jubelin, 57, will face questioning about his methods of investigating the little boy's disappearance, with special focus on his interest in William Spedding, The Australian reported.
Lawyer Peter O’Brien is expected to ask why Mr Jubelin focused so closely on washing repairman Mr Spedding, ahead of other possible leads.
Change Makers is linked a few threads back. Or just google it with Gary Jubelins name.
'off the cuff'? Yet his name has been bandied about in MSM for the last four years or so...a local man of his own age regarding something that happened in his own street?? I think he would know if he knew him by now. He also has no idea why he has been called to testify? I wonder what the inquest will show here. When asked if the two men knew each other, Savage claimed they had never met.
“Off the cuff, no, I don’t think so,” he said.

Mr Savage appears as a kind elderly man in this video, doesn't he? Not that kind elderly appearing men have not been involved in child exploitation of various kinds.
I am very interested to know what he was doing between 10:30-11:30am on the morning that William disappeared. Was he outside or inside during that time. What time his usual morning walk was. If anyone else was at his home at the time. What the loud/not loud radio questions were about. What the questions about what he was wearing were about.
Seems that the questions were more probing than if he had just witnessed something that morning.
Going by this article his son Sean may have been there and then don't forget his bro in law rocked up that morning as well

From his house directly opposite William’s grandmother’s former home, an elderly man named Paul (surname withheld for privacy reasons) and his son, Sean, have watched long-time friends and neighbours slowly drift away from Benaroon Drive.
“A lot of them have moved,” he says. “One bloke left because he felt intimidated by the police. He had a few problems. He wasn’t a crook or a bad bloke, just a bit of a loner.
Brother in law arrived while the search by locals was underway/forming .... must have been after 11:30am, I think. As Mr Savage was standing outside with locals. So, by then they had been able to get his attention and he was ready/getting ready to join the search.
Newton told the court he arrived in Benaroon Drive to see Savage standing in his driveway with a group of locals.
He was asked about the initial conversation he had with Savage upon arrival, when he learned there was a “little fella” missing.
“He was concerned...he was very worried,” he said of Savage.
The two men then participated in line searches with other locals in the bushland behind the properties.
