OK even if we describe it as selective.......it is only a matter of weeks before the Inquest. I accept that they have been interviewed before 60 minutes, but that was a number of years ago and I would suggest that their story has changed quite significantly in the meantime. Nevertheless, my issue is the timing of the podcast. Surely the FCs will be questioned again at the inquest and their evidence will be made public, so why, just a matter of days/weeks beforehand would they be going into great detail about the when William disappeared?
I don't have any idea about the timing of the podcast, but I agree that it's been a long time since the previous interviews:

- 17 April 2015: NSW Police

- 06 Sep 2015: 60 Minutes (part 1) , (part 2) , (part 3)

- 12 Sep 2015: Lia Harris, Daily Telegraph, Parts 1 & 2

- 18 Sep 2015: Chris Smith, 2GB

These are the only audio/video interviews I'm aware of, apart from Lia Harris's current podcast. Does anybody know of any others?

Would after the inquest be a better time?

I see it that they are keeping their promise never to give up on William.
I’d be in fear that the inquest was the end to the searching, to keep the search active.

I know what you’re getting at with ulterior motives and I won’t be encouraging them.

Again, in the 3rd episode of the podcast, Lia Harris reports that the FFC went to AMS house and then the MFC returned home. AMS has testified that the MFC was already at the house and she could hear him shouting in the back yard looking for WT when she 1st met the FFC. If the timing is correct according to the FFC at 10.30, WT was noticed missing, in the ensuing minutes she raced around the house and yard about 10 times opening every cupboard looking for him. I believe it is in the Chris Smith interview that she says that they were waiting and then her words drift off. My understanding is that after looking around the house, she saw the message from the MFC and waited at the house, knowing he was minutes away. I'm interested in this discrepency and the other one between AMS testimony and the FFC testimony regarding the cars. The FFC states she saw the cars opposite the property at about 7a.m and again after 9a.m, presumably unmoved. On her way in and out of her driveway, AMS states there were no cars parked at the border of her property.

This was interesting for me, as in my mind, I've always invisioned William being mid-game with the Tiger Roar as he hid somewhere, only never to be seen again. A little boy caught up in playing his game is 'in the minute' so would not suddenly run off down the driveway ... IMO

Therefore, my thoughts in that regard - he was most likely grabbed & silenced from an area very close to the house. Easily done with a little boy, a big man ...perhaps even a bit of chloroform!

I believe Police Dogs didn't pick up his scent outside the property - yet I've wondered the $99 question - what scents picked up 'inside' ???

There's so many different 'opinions' as to what actually happened that morning - I don't envy the coroner !

Do we know if the dogs were taken inside the house to detect Williams scent?

I presume they were walked over every inch of the property and your question is a great question.

The initial police dogs that atteneded I again assume that they were general police dogs? When I say general, I mean i know that there are only select police dogs that detect the scent of human remains, some trained for drugs fire arms etc. The dogs that attended the searches in that first few days (I beleive they didnt attend the first day) were they dogs that could detect blood? remains? or just the scent of a little boy who might be lost in the bush somewhere. The search last year of bushland I thought that the specialised dog (s) that detect human remeans were used in search in bushland. If anyone can confirm this? At which point if any prior to this were these type of dogs used in the search for William. Were dogs also taken through the neighbouring houses and properties as well to pick up a scent or just the property of the FGM?

With the timing of the Podcast.

Do you really think the FCer's had a say in when the Podcast was released?

Yes, they participated in it probably hoping to bring more awareness to Williams plight. However, they could have recorded months and months ago.

IMO Chl 10's publicity department would have ALL the say on when it would be released. They would have zoned in on this precise time with it being in the middle of the Inquest and the most important part of it coming up. It would attract the most attention, with the case having had so much recent publicity and so much more to come in August.

Of course, tgy. His scent would be everywhere. The poster can't possibily be suggesting that he was still in there as that would casting aspersions on the ff and we know, and have been told over and over that they are INNOCENT. So, I'm not sure what to make of it either.

Protest as William Tyrrell cop walks out

A protest may be held outside Parramatta Police headquarters tomorrow as deposed William Tyrrell lead detective Gary Jubelin walks from the NSW Police force for good.

So, Jubelin will be a witness at the inquest...

The inquest into William Tyrrell’s disappearance from Kendall in September 2014 resumes in August, with Mr Jubelin expected to be called as a witness.

The Australian newspaper reported counsel for witnesses to the inquest are keen to question his methods in the Tyrrell case.

I agree with you dragon52 they have been very selective especially if you compare them to say the Morcombes who seemed to give lots of interviews to the media to raise awareness for Daniel's case. Probably a lot of reasons for this e.g. being foster parents for one... And that's their decision to make.

They must really believe that participating in the podcast is going to be highly beneficial otherwise they wouldn't be doing it, it's something I imagine they thought about at length.

Do you mean they would be protesting? If so, I took it as supporters of Jubelin who would be protesting.

It wasn't that post I replied to. :) Well, actually I did, but with a different post. :)

Lol..I think the response was regarding the quote- "The Australian newspaper reported counsel for witnesses to the inquest are keen to question his methods in the Tyrrell case."

Not at all we know he was in the house, I mean as much as the FF searched for William in the house, under the house etc did they take the dogs in through the house under the house, in areas he most likely may have not normally accessed such as climb spaces in floors or walls. His scent would be evident in the living areas of the house and bathroom etc but I mean areas that he would not normally access. It is 100% established that the FF are cleared with no involvement in Williams disapearance and I am not implying otherwise.... Just a general question sorry to confuse.

My 'take' on Possum's question was in regard to the search dogs being absolutely familiar with the 'scent' they were searching for 'outside' .... perhaps Possom may see fit to elaborate

The biological family of missing boy William Tyrrell have secured Legal Aid as they prepare to fight against the NSW Police and NSW Government over his disappearance.

The Australian reports that NSW Legal Aid have approved an application for prepresentation from William’s father, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

“We have approved your application. We will pay for a lawyer to represent you in your case,” the letter reportedly says.

William was removed from his parents’ care in 2012 and placed with a foster family in Kendall, NSW, where he went missing in 2014.

William’s family does not accept the NSW Police’s version of events of him simply disappearing while in state care.

We’re for Sydney | Daily Telegraph
Fight the police and government where? At the inquest? In another court?

I wonder what William’s BF think happened to him if not ‘disappearing while in state care’?
