Got to wonder
Imagine pulling into the servo and from a parked van you hear - Buck-buck-buck – this is the noise a hen makes either when she’s just laid an egg, or she would like to. Hens sharing laying areas will often make this noise when they want their flock-mate to get out of the way!

If they were kiwi hens they might be saying f***-f***-f***.

I am wondering...

Both the pool and the showground have amenities blocks (toilets showers etc)

I would believe the pool likely was locked up at night, however, when it opened the next day could he be going to then just shower there and toilet there?

The showground if he stayed outside he may just go in to use the amenities only and not pay to camp?

Pool entry fee $4.40 (now, may been less then)
Opens MON - FRI 6am
Weekends 8am.

Kendall showground $10 per night 3 night max stay.

Was he working at Catex same time as contracting for NBN?

Would the pool have been open that time of year.

I googled and it seems as if it is an indoor pool so probably opened all year round.

I read over the weekend that it was thought that he was a part of a paranormal group (as in ghost hunters group) a name was disclosed in SM however I cannot confirm or link this due to it s not a confirmed POI so I cannot elaborate further. Those on the FB groups may have seen post that I am referring to over the last week. Either I am dreaming again or am sure read this last week.

The guy with the folded arms is not a member of the paranormal group, the guy that is making the docuseries is. He runs a couple of paranormal groups including the ghost hunters one. Not sure I'd take all he says in his Youtube videos as gospell.

This guy RD is creepy , cunning & brazen...........

He sat directly behind the FM at the inquest for 2 days before he got on the stand .

I really felt for FM. I wonder if she had the same feeling Denise Morcombe had when Cowan was at the inquest for Daniel ( she said she knew from just looking at him he had taken Daniel )

The FM started sobbing when RD's video was played in court.

And he had the hide to go & sit back behind her again after!!

May I ask how RD reacted while the video was playing?

Grounds of appeal

1. The applicant relies upon thirteen grounds of appeal as follows (with some necessary typographical changes):

1. The jury did not know I was cognitive impaired (not fit to plea). The jury verdicts are inconsistent.
   
   
2. Contamination of evidence.
   
   
3. [Complainant B’s] evidence was flawed and [he] is uncredible witness.
   
   
4. Need for separate trials as the jury took evidence from [Complainant A] and applied to [Complainant B].
   
   
5. Tendency evidence. The jury was not aware the facebook [w]as non grooming as implied, prejudicial effect.
   
   
6. No physical evidence.
   
   
7. An irrational attempt to campaign to get the accused in trouble.
   
   
8. Misleading effect of an alleged admission to the OIC, unfairness under s 90 and s 137 prejudicial effect.
   
   
9. The lack of complete Facebook messages. This should not have been used.
   
   
10. Jury engaged in impermissible coincidence reasoning.
    
    
11. The OIC intended to elicit responses from me walking past the cell gloating etc. The OIC summarised the charges incorrectly.
    
    
12. The complicated nature of the charges.
    
    
13. Unfair trial as witness Donny Clarke was not called to say that Count 11 and 12 did not occur.

1. The applicant filed extensive handwritten submissions which he was invited to supplement with oral submissions on the hearing of the appeal. The written submissions do not direct argument to any particular ground of appeal but were discursive, in the sense that they complain about the quality of the evidence of the complainants and their reliability generally; the conduct of police; the trial judge’s admission of tendency evidence over objection and an alleged verbal admission to police admitted over objection; and, more generally, that there was unfairness in the conduct of the trial because of what the applicant asserts is his own cognitive impairment.
   
   
2. It is of significance to note that although in his evidence at trial the applicant denied having sexual intercourse with any of the three complainants, in both his written and oral submissions on the appeal he conceded he did have consensual intercourse with Complainant A, while maintaining the position taken at trial that he did not know that he was cognitively impaired. His case on the appeal was that he should not have been convicted of the first count on the indictment for that reason.
   
   
3. So far as concerns Complainants B and C, the applicant maintained the position taken at trial that he had no sexual interaction with either of them and had no knowledge or awareness of their intellectual disability.

Yes, I don't think Donohoe is as cognitively impaired as he puts out.
He looked pretty smirky and calculated during his silence in the police interview.
If he forged those NBN timesheet signatures, that takes a certain amount of calculation as well.
He also befriended his intellectually disabled victims and set them up to be abused by him. Calculating.

I do think he is aware that he is unliked, and has done very strange things to seem like a 'nice guy'. Stamps for the kids, fresh eggs to be sold from his van, taking on the generally unwanted evening shifts. But his creepiness pervades all of that. People can feel his bad vibe. imo

I'm sure he's not , when Mr Craddock asked his first question , which was just " As of September 2014 you were a member of the SES ?" RD replied straight away " I'd like to point out I have a cognitive impairment, Can you take it slow?"

Mr Craddock was not talking fast at all!! He's cunning all right!

He looks much older than 42 ( I initially thought he could have been TD & RD's father!)

Why do I get the feeling that he thinks he is untouchable, and is angry with the system for daring to lock him up for sexual abuse?

He has cunningly got himself a disability advocate by appearing cognitively impaired, likely gets other benefits from the govt as well. Seems his 'cognitive impairment' may have been diagnosed while in prison? Perhaps this allowed him a measure of safety, after he took a beating. Maybe put into a 'safe' area of prison.

So now he can sit back and rely on his 'impairment' to keep him protected ... from questions, from questionable behaviour, perhaps from worse things too.

Oddly I thought RD looked creepier, in his pink short sleeve shirt, tie, cap and little backpack , than when he was sitting there in his prison clothes.

RD really gives me the creeps. So scary that people like that lurk around us, at our servos, swimming pools, even contractors working at our homes .
The inquest has spent a considerable amount of time on him. I definitely don't have a good feeling about him.

Is Geoff Owen going to be called on Monday? So far, I have only read that Paul Savage will be called on Monday, so I must have missed that.

I am interested because there are only certain days during this coming week that I can be around for the live tweets.

He is asked about a man named Geoff Owen, who he played darts with. He tells the court he didn’t know him well. Mr Owen is also expected to testify in the coming days.
