Everyone has described Benaroon Drive as really quiet and the children were being boisterous so some neighbours heard them. (Wilsons). All paedophiles aren’t known to police so any one of the neighbours could’ve nabbed William. Some older people get kinda creepy in old age.
And intolerant of boisterous children maybe .

but wasnt william timid and probably shy around strangers, youd think his instinct would be to freeze and or run back to ffc, especially if they suddenly appeared there,
giving him a fright
or it may have been someone he recognized so he felt cheeky enough to roar at them?
bbm
One should also ask the BM, if this is right and if she had that impression of him also. After all she had visits with her little boy (supervised once by 3 guards) and could tell from her point of view, if he was really that fearful (for example to climb a tree) and shy with strangers (for example the guards and people/children in the malls). Little W was used to day care, he was used to holidays, he had "a lot of" parents/relatives, he was wild and boisterous and loud and "a little devil" as FGM said on the day, he disappeared. From my experience as a parent ;), such a child mostly isn't very shy (if the parents with their prohibitions and behavioral rules aren't around). MOO
To the "roaring":
Maybe, he was roaring at someone on the grass like he was roaring at the FFC, when she took an unwanted photo of him. IMO, he didn't like that at that moment and I always thought, it's to be seen. It was a troubled morning for the little boy already and maybe, a friendly abductor had an easy going. MOO

With all due respect, Fg, the ff, especially the fm had spent a lot more time with him than the bf. William for all intents and purposes was their son. They would know his habits, tendencies and nature unside out. IMO.

One reason to gloss over or downplay all a bit, IMO. Idk, if this happened or not at all, but it might be. MOO

I'm pretty sure all interested parties are entitled to the brief of evidence? Allows them to ask relevant questions regarding the facts outlined in the brief. AFAIK?
IMO
Dosnt bf have a lawyer so no need for others to have it imo..time to keep nose out as bf is repeating someones words which have been voiced for a number of years now

"She said that as she was doing the video," the social worker recalled, "She got to the point where she heard the last roar of William around the corner, and as she relived that, she was overcome with a sense that he wasn't just roaring. He was roaring at someone."

For a child to playfully roar at a stranger is to invite them into the game, which doesn’t gel with me. If a stranger was standing there I’d imagine a child might freeze momentarily but could roar in fear/shock.
Did William believe he was so invincible when he was being daddy tiger that he could scare away a stranger?
Just thinking out loud here.
Maybe so,young children do believe in their powers

August seemed like so far away after the initial Start of the inquest in March, I can’t believe it’s come around so quick. Must feel like an eternity to those close to William though.

I’m sorry but I have no idea what that means. Apologies.

Yes feels like we have waited so long, Im worried its going to be an anti climax, and we are going to be just as unsure in a month as we are now.
Are any WSers going to the hearing?

True, to a retiree area screaming kids could be just as annoying as barking dogs and revving cars which I’d hunt down the source.

“He was a dedicated police officer and he did a lot of charity work and he did wonderful things for victims of homicides and that shouldn’t be forgotten because of the matter that’s before the courts,” Commissioner Fuller said at the official opening of the new police station at Mount Druitt.

“If I saw him I would certainly stop, I’d shake his hand and thank him for what he did,” he said.

NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller said his opinion of former detective Gary Jubelin would not change, despite Mr Jubelin’s criminal charges for interfering in the high-profile William Tyrrell investigation.....................................

The former high-profile detective was forced to resign and in a Sydney court last week he pleaded not guilty to four criminal charges.

Mick Fuller says his opinion of Gary Jubelin remains unchanged despite charges
Wow, what a terrible sounding story, from what I can see here (imo). 'Thank him for what he 'did'', as opposed to 'thank him for all he's done' (how long was GJ in service?? 30 years or something??)

Charges for interfering? Nowhere have I read before that he had interference charges, nor that he had 'interfered'??

'Forced to resign'?? Maybe his situation being intolerable to himself gave him no choice but to *feel* forced to resign, but nowhere has it been portrayed that he was forced.

Which reporter penned this article?

Hopefully reports out of the upcoming inquest will be more accurate and honest. imo.

I've been listening to the podcasts...one thing that immediately struck me was the neighbour, PS, getting 'lost' for two hours. I find it extremely difficult to believe that someone can 'get lost' in an area that they know well.

And also there people out there actively looking for William at the time...they would have all been calling out loudly 'WILLIAM WILLIAM'. There would have been a fair bit of noise, sound travels a long way in the quiet country (I know because I live in a rural area directly next to thousands of acres of bush, you can hear for km's) That story about getting lost just does not make sense to me.

Why would he need that time away? Maybe I've listened to too much True Crime but I imagine if someone had done something horrible they'd need a bit of time to unwind and think.

Also, the family had been to grandmas house many times. They had all participated in a street party, which means they had socialized with the neighbours and other locals. Plenty of opportunity for someone with bad intentions to see William and devise a plan to snatch him next time he visited. William would have known PS, and if he had come across PS down the side of the house William would not have been too surprised. Maybe that's who he roared at?

Can't believe it's been nearly 5 years..my heart aches for all those that love William.

I agree, a terrible-sounding story, brought to you by Caroline Overington, the author of the podcast Nowhere Child. Fuller did a good job of trying to come out smelling of roses though.

Was it also Overington who seemed to be the only reporter saying that PS had become lost for 2 hours? Perhaps that is another deceptive article to get some readers? I say this only because nothing had ever been said about that before, and I believe she is the only one to have stated it - other reporters/media may have copied her 'facts'. Imo, please correct me if I have missed other articles saying they had seen paperwork to that effect?

Thanks for letting me know.. I couldn't tell who the writer was.. Fuller, to me, may have thought he was doing a good job, but the wording just isn't cutting it.. I mean, even if the man recorded something he shouldn't have, he would've known it wouldn't have held up in court, so presumably he did it for his own purposes/memory.. with so many years of service, one might expect a little more praise or acknowledgement, even if he wasn't perfectly by the book during the entire time.

If anyone knows of another link that carried the same story, can you kindly post the link? TIA!
