I wonder if he usually takes ice to prepare for a doctor's appointment.

Eight asterisks.

Yes, seems a bit dodgy, this testimony. I think that the coroner might take it as dodgy as well.

BBM. Well that could be the most important thing! Doesn't know, or doesn't want to be seen to know?

Doesn't know or didn't see as the driver was bending over?

I am confused as to why he mentioned BS? Did I miss something or was he first asked about him or did he bring it up on his own accord?

Hopefully, a journo will enlighten us about that.

I think that Peter O'Brien will ask everyone if who they saw was Spedding. He is proactively on the defense.

When all I want to know about Spedding is .... was he where he said he was on that morning???

MM told Mr Palmer he knew who it was and it wasn't BS. It's not clear whether Mr Palmer asked whether it was BS and MM was replying to that. It sounds to me like MM intended to hint that the driver was GO, perhaps induce Mr Palmer to gradually extract that indication over a period of time.

Mr Palmer might have got some details wrong like where MM was when he saw the car and consequently where the car was (MM couldn't have seen all that happening in Batar Creek Road if he was driving in front of the post office in Comboyne Street). I don't believe he was mistaken about McInally saying he'd lie if anyone else ever asked about it, and I believe he's telling the truth about the friendship being broken off as a result of him going to police. So we have a self-confessed liar telling a somewhat different, less interesting story to the inquest. A white Commodore (somehow distinctive enough for MM to know he'd never seen it before) driving "crazily"--whatever that means--in Comboyne Street on a date he isn't completely sure of, with an unknown driver performing a leaning action which might have been the use of a mobile phone.

Just to add

In Palmers testimony he added ( without being lead by Mr Craddock) that McInally had taken ice.

In McInally testimony nothing was mentioned by the witness or Mr Craddick about taking ice.

Mr Palmer testified that Mr McInally told him that " It wasn't Bill Speeding ( driving the white Commodore ) , someone around that kind of circle"

MR McInally denied this in his testimony.

Mr Palmer also said " Mick was drinking, I wasn't"

Mr Spedding’s lawyer is now questioning Mr McInally about the sighting. He told the court he was in a “bad boating accident” six months before he told Mr Palmer about the car.

@10Daily

So possibly a near death experience with the boat accident and then the “guilt” that he hadn’t told anyone????
Also
Alcohol definitely known to loosen the tongue ... possibly made it easier to spill to his mate??

Possibly he does remember that day vividly as it would have been a very big deal in Kendal (ie search etc) but because of drug habit etc and possibly drug aquaintenences / or crime associated with drug use, he didn’t want to go the Police??

Interesting that he told Tim Palmer that he knew who was driving but denies it now...

Sounds so cliche that he thought he may have been holding phone out for reception.

Seeing a struggle taking place in a car sounds really cliched too. A number of people reported seeing a blue car driving along with a struggle happening inside at the time and place of Daniel Morcombe's disappearance. And Daniel was taken in a white car with no struggle.

I wonder if the Police have put anyone undercover in Kendal?? It would be a difficult role to play...

To do what? Hang about the pub and hope the right person gets talkative? What's to say the person is now or ever was a Kendall local? And if you mean someone other than the perpetrator . . . remember they've already resisted a million dollars to tell their story. I think they can probably resist a few beers.

This is interesting. What circle ? Friendship or something more dark.

To infiltrate the supposed paedophile ring that exists in Kendall.....
I don’t think you needed to be quite so rude about my comment ...
I was thinking about the Daniel Morcomb case when I wrote the comment...
