Was it BS step-son that lost care of his children, therefore having BS and MS become kinship carers? I wonder if this is why he may have been angry at him....enough to "point the finger" even?

I also remember there was talk of MS sending a text message to a relative, denouncing sexual offending accusations about her husband. Could it have been her son, BS step son she sent these to?
The message was to one of the girls (victims), ostensibly sympathetic. It could also read as passive aggressive.

Another question from me: who chooses who goes up for questioning at the inquest?
The Coroner:

‘The Coroner will decide the best way to conduct the hearing (inquest). The Coroner is not bound by the rules of evidence that apply to other courts, so he or she can decide what information and issues to examine, and who to hear from.

During the inquest, the Coroner will call witnesses to give evidence. The Coroner, Coroner’s Assistant or a lawyer representing an interested party may then ask the witness questions.’

What happens during the hearing

I think this evidence of a white commadore is leading somewhere, not sure where, because the Police were looking at vehicles like this well before they heard from Mr Palmer and Mr McInally. They talked to Ms Loeke because of her car, a silver commadore, in addition to her connections with several people.

If I believed either of them it would be Mr Palmer.

So far we've had a white van and a white commodore - where are they going with this?

I personally think that someone - perhaps a young child - thinks they saw a white van that morning, when William disappeared.

To me, it seems to fit with some of what we have been hearing.

The white car? Following up every potential lead ... after splashing the description of the Benaroon Dr cars in the media.

No because as Loxoli mentioned, there was one million reasons why they would have mentioned it earlier if it were true. I am just interested who they are seemingly pointing fingers at.

Hmm ... was he pointing fingers at someone, or pointing fingers away from someone else? Considering the members of the dart teams, and the things that may have been discussed over time at the darts venue.

I am looking forward to Mr Owens’ evidence. I wonder if he owns a white car?

Once we saw CY mentioned as a member of the darts team, all bets off, I’m sure he would have told his darting mates that BS couldnt possibly be guilty.

Agreed. Ole Col must have a lot of friends at the dart games ... such an affable, chatty guy.

And they would have believed him like we did.

That was my thought too, SA. All seems a bit contrived to me. IMO.

I can’t name him or discuss him other than as ‘BS’ stepson’ in the context of TP’s evidence yesterday as he hasn’t been named in MSM AFAIK.
Thanks. However I probably should have worded it more in the sense of "have we heard of him before, or is this the first we have heard him mentioned"

First time mentioned at inquest and in MSM IIRC.

And they would have believed him like we did.

I am not sure of McInally's smarts. I was quite surprised to read that he didn't know how to read or write. That surely has limited his educational input to what he hears on TV and what he hears from others.

Thanks for tweets and discussion. So complex. Hope for Justice for little William, eventually. Might be a long way off unless someone 'fesses up. Sounds like a few odd bods around that area. Keeping up with msm, but this discussion adds new perspective. Thanks everyone.

His maths must be Ok if he won the club darts championship, he’d need to be able to subtract numbers and work out what was needed at the end.
Are people who cant read or write able to get drivers licences.?

I’m not sure about that, bear:

Lia Harris
@LiaJHarris

He [TP] tells the court he doesn’t think Mr McInally “personally knows Mr Spedding” but he [MM] “might know dodgy people”. He [TP] clarified he’s not implying Spedding is dodgy.

From an earlier tweet, it seems TP didn’t know BS:

Lia Harris
@LiaJHarris

Spedding‘s lawyer is now questioning the witness [TP], asking if they knew of Spedding because he was featured in the media as a person of interest. He [TP] tells the court he only knew of him [BS] from the media, but he did know William’s foster grandfather.

I don’t know if TP knew any of BS’ circle, ie; his stepson, though.

This article says that, in Australia, being unable to read means no driver's license.

"If you can’t read you can’t get a driver’s licence. You also can’t do the training to get an OH&S white card to work in building, mining or construction."
Aboriginal literacy program flourishes

Then there are forums which say that as long as a person can identify letters and decipher pics/diagrams, and sign their name, they can manage to get a driver's license ... without revealing that they can't read or write.
These type of people usually get through life by asking things like "where do I sign?" and "sorry, I forgot my glasses, can you explain this to me?"

But, let's face it, we hear more and more about people who don't have a license - or have had their license revoked - driving on our roads.

Sorry for replying to my own post but, for accuracy’s sake, the name should be Mr (Geoff) Owen without the ‘s’.

Darts, dart scores, names we all know, and a local club ... thanks, gaelige and tbl!
Everyone knows everyone. With little William and his FP being the outsiders.

When the nearby North Haven Bowling Club was asked for information, they abruptly refused to comment.
'We can't say anything about it. We won't say anything about what's going on,' a manager said.

So they were already questioning the club back in 2015 before Mick even told his story about the crazy car he saw so there must have been some other reason and connection back them to "someone" at the club IMO
