He was fit enough to work in a petrol station , and arrange his prison appeal.
Perhaps all these witnesses are claiming brain damage or a disability.

That's how I read it, anyway. Not that he refused to answer questions at the inquest.
Why was he not asked those same questions now? I thought you could not refuse to answer questions during the inquest.
