You have to wonder what would have bought Donahoe to Bennaroon drive that day ( of course only if he is involved)
Yopu have the hiccups, tbl!You have to wonder what would have bought Donahoe to Bennaroon drive that day ( of course only if he is involved)
The foster mum has faced so much ridicule and speculation of not seeing the cars etc. I just can’t imagine police would put her in this position if it’s a tactic . It might be of benefit to the case but at an expense for her credibility if that’s the case . ( I mean her credibility from the ever critical general public)In the podcast today (Lia Harris podcast) they refer again to the two cars but the white car is referred to as a 'sedan' yet in previous accounts and in the diagram it is most definitely a white station wagon. Once again I am perplexed by these two cars and why we were not told about them until a year later. Not to mention the green/teal car and the large red haired man.
Maybe not a tactic. Maybe it was a massive oversight. She told them about the cars and assumed it was being followed up?The foster mum has faced so much ridicule and speculation of not seeing the cars etc. I just can’t imagine police would put her in this position if it’s a tactic . That’s what I believe .Didn't she testify to the cars being there? I don't think she'd perjure herself.
So confused by the cars. I just can’t imagine them not asking all in the area where their cars were parked that morning, even reenacting it. Wouldn’t the owners if they lived on the street have confirmed this ? I’m certainly not discounting your theory but can’t imagine police producing the cars as a reason to search others ? But who knows. I really appreciate and respect your posts that’s why I question this as I’m sure your thought process holds weight.I dont think FM would perjure herself either.
I think she saw the cars. I just think that they belonged on Benaroon Drive.
As far as I recall, she has only ever said that they were 'across the road from mum's place, between 2 driveways'.
Wasn't it us who placed them in the location in front of the creepy house ... just going by the drawn background?
I think that from the windows of FGM's house, they would see a little further down the road. I also wonder how well they would see the creepy house, with all those trees on the corner of the property.
I'm thinking that it is possible with the events occurring at the time, the change of lead detective, Sydney detectives coming and taking over from the local country ones, the information about BS having been at the house and his background, the inconsistencies in his alibi, that perhaps the information about the cars was not followed up on at the time or seen as significant. No tactics, no perjury, just an oversight at the time.So confused by the cars. I just can’t imagine them not asking all in the area where their cars were parked that morning, even reenacting it. FFC said she saw the two cars not only when she woke up about 7 (near enough to 6:30) but also when she was playing with William outside at about 9. From what you say the Sharpley cars wouldn't have been there then.I believe the explanation for the two cars is simple: both cars are owned by the Sharpley family. The grey sedan is the father's, and the white Starwagon (NOT a station wagon, but close to the description given by FM) is Anne-Maree's car. The FM's description even tells of how the white vehicle doesn't slope down at the back but is more abruptly angled. FM's description tells of these cars being seen from around 6:30 in the morning. The testimony of both Sharpleys is that Mr S went to work just after 6:30am, and that his grey sedan was parked (nose pointing up Benaroon Drive). Both he and she say they saw no strange cars there that day, and both drove out looking for possible traffic. It's not clear whether Anne-Maree's car was parked in the driveway or on the roadside, but FM may have been mistaken about their exact positions. The three critical reasons I believe these are the two cars are: 1) They are reasonable matches of the descriptions 2) No one else saw any 'strange' cars 3) The police didn't release the info for a year - suggesting they had initially come to the same conclusion, then re-thought about it when Tony Jones came into the frame. An important fact here is that the 'oddness' that struck the FM about the cars was that they were supposedly parked between two driveways. She took this to mean 'between two properties'. But guess what? The Sharpley house has two distinct driveways - the cars were parked between them.
This Donohoe seems to be going to some effort to cover himself, and if he was working 2 jobs why hang around to help search...mmmmmmmmm big mmmmmmmm and then was arrested on the following monday or tuesday, where did they arrest him in the carpark ?
If I understand you, you're suggesting that the police made a false affidavit to obtain a warrant.I think it is possible that the Sharpleys (or others) claimed their cars, privately. AFAIK they were not asked about the cars at the inquest?
Didn't we read at one time that neighbours had been asked not to speak of the investigation? (Not meaning at the inquest.)
What other reason would the police have to search Jones' vehicle, try to get to Bickford's (or his son's) vehicle ... being child sex offenders who belonged to GAPA surely wouldn't be enough to gain search warrants.

Very hard to believe he got so much done on that day. 2 jobs and a full blown SES searchSo Donohoe had two jobs and was supposedly at both of them that week but neither place of employment is sure of that?
