If he was abducted and distressed he likely would not be in a child seat and screaming and likely standing up trying to look out etc IMO
That would certainly draw attention.

He asks her whether it was an “inevitable conclusion” that the media were notified by police that Spedding’s house was being searched. She tells the court she doesn’t believe it was an “inevitable conclusion”. “I don’t know if media were told”. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

Craddock SC objects to the questioning, saying she’s not in a position to say whether media were told by police about the search. He then asks her if “media can play a helpful and productive role” in these cases and she agrees they can. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

O’Brien tells the court being named as a POI can “Cause that person significant embarrassment” and be “seriously vilified by the community”, Detective Sergeant Beacroft agreed. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

Exactly what I was thinking. I thought the same about the requests the lawyer made last week that were knocked back by the coroner. The requests seemed more interested in attacking the process than actually what the inquest is about. Finding William.
The recent podcast Nowhere Child states that BS is no longer a POI. I have heard him referred to as a former POI but this is the first time I have seen or heard that he is no longer a POI. Anyone else?

This confuses me too but I guess he’s still been called for a good reason

I think I would be tempted to call out 'Where is William' every single time they try to sideline it.

The court is being shown the “investigator’s note” relating to the cars seen by William’s foster mother the day he disappeared. Detective Beacroft tells the court she did extensive work to find those cars. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

I would have thought BS would testify before being allowed to question.

Couldnt that wait for some other time,BS can do an exclusive interview after all this is over and we can all tune in....not.
Which is what the coroner has already told them:

But Deputy state coroner Harriet Grahame rejected the application and said her "primary focus and greatest hope" was to find out what happened to three-year-old William.

"It is not the time for trying to discover, on a piecemeal basis, if the investigation went down a wrong track," she said.

Detective Beacroft tells the court “I was unable to provide any corroborating evidence to support” the sightings of the cars by the female foster carer. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

Swift tells the court Jubelin “challenged” the foster mother about those cars during a 2016 interview and she insisted she “was not making it up”. @10NewsFirst @10Daily
