What could be a possible reason for them not to attend?

I think BM might have found it too upsetting.
I think FD might be taking care of and shielding William's sister from all of the publicity that is happening at the moment. Her mum is gone all day every day at the moment .. I think FD needs to be present to protect her mental welfare.

Swift, for the birth father, is questioning Det Beacroft about the Triple 0 call made by the foster mother on the day William disappeared. She asked about her telling the operator she hadn’t seen anything suspicious. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

Det Beacroft tells the court the foster mother would have been under stress at the time. Swift asks about her memory of the cars coming days later. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

Paul Savage’s lawyer is now questioning Det Beacroft about the threshold for a person to become a person of interest. “It’s unremarkable” someone living near the foster grandmother’s house would be a POI, he asks. She agrees. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

“The fact that a hypothesis is raised with a person in an interview isn’t necessarily an indication that investigators think that’s likely,” he asks. She tells the court it’s “not always the case”. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

He court heard Savage was “cooperative” with police interviews. He never had a lawyer during those interviews. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

“He made it clear he wanted to address the queries he raised,” he asked. Det Beacroft confirmed he continued with the interviews. The court heard there was a video walkthrough of his house conducted without notice and he had “no issue with that”. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

The court heard Savage told police he went for a walk, then came home and had breakfast on his patio before going back inside with his wife before she left to go to bingo. He also made two phone calls between 9.59am and 10.07. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

Det Beacroft told the court she believes William disappeared between 10.05am and 10.15am. She is asked if that puts Savage inside making a phone call for a portion of the time she believes he would’ve been abducted. She responds yes. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

The court heard the patio where William was playing was not visible from Mr Savage’s house. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

Good that we are getting a few answers to the questions we all have ... about the radio.

I guess he must have been aware the children were there ... he must have been able to hear them from his breakfast patio. Especially if he did not turn the radio on until after his wife left for bingo.
