That was my first thought, that the two could be confused. So if Savage's Pajero was red, pretending to have seen the other could be covering for himself, in case it was noticed.

He said he was packing a bag as expected to be away some time looking after his brother but then say he says to his wife I will see you when YOU get back. Doesn’t make sense
