One horrible repercussion of this farcical action is that whoever took William, and likely murdered him, is probably smirking from ear to ear.

William's abduction has ruined things for so many people. And the people who are feeling the punishment are not the perp!
I agree,i also feel we are missing something simple, this case has become so complicated and it has caused so many issues but on the other hand i think the nsw police have done a great job in letting the public in on the number of sick fs prowling around,i have some hope that the 4wd blonde bun lady and blur car man who may have had William means he may be alive,i would like to go further with this sites help on reasons of who that couple were and why..i still think maybe someone connected to knowing he may be placed in ff care till he was 18 legally

How so?
Because he publicly defended him?
The old damned if you do and damned if you dont
Just wondering if anyone saw Col at the inquest at all, or has his support for Spedding diminished. Or maybe someone was there representing him? Just throwing around ideas. Maybe if he wasn’t there he’s fallen ill- hope not, but difficult to explain his absence given his staunch support at the beginning.

It’s weird, I can’t seem to find some of the old articles that featured him and had photos of him.

There seems to be so little hope with that lead, interested.
With it taking six months before anyone reported the sighting to the police, I can't imagine that even highway CCTV records for 12 Sept 2014 would have still been available, but maybe they were.

One would hope that from March 2015 until now, the police might have been able to narrow down the registered beige boxy Land Cruisers in NSW at that time to a suspect vehicle or two. Same with the iridescent blue Ford. But if the vehicle(s) has gone interstate or been dumped into a lake or didn't come from NSW in the first place, what then?

Would William even remember who he is, if he is still alive somewhere? More than ½ of his life has passed since he was abducted. And what kind of life may he be leading?

That lead seems to be the saddest missed opportunity, if the child was in fact William.

Yes i doubt he would remember..but surely the police would have kept every camera footage within a certain radius knowing that he could of been taken away..poor little boy

Yes, that's true. One would hope that kind of CCTV was sought and retained.
So many back roads out of there.

Looking at Google maps, it seems that a person can get all the way to the Johns River area - and adjoin the Pacific Highway there - by driving all the way down Batar Creek Road, then cutting over on a couple of other roads.

And remember the Crime Stoppers alert for William, shared in all 26 Crime Stoppers countries? Was there some suspicion or evidence that William had been taken out of the country?

That was a most unusual move to make. Have never heard of that happening before or since. Just other cases where the police have worked with Interpol to find fugitives of one kind or another.

When did that international Crime Stoppers alert happen? Was that soon following the time that police (finally) heard about the boxy beige Land Cruiser, the pale blonde woman, and the spiderman clothed child?

Thanks Wex. So yes he was at court then and up front wth them, but no longer, it seems. Or at least not as vocal or visible.
Maybe he has been told to zip it.

Another thought about the pale blonde woman in the Land Cruiser ......

About half of convicted human traffickers in recent years in Australia are women, with a high proportion of those having been victims of trafficking themselves, according to new research.

Flinders University PhD candidate Alexandra Baxter said many people were yet to grasp the reality of trafficking in Australia, with the community largely viewing it as being perpetrated by men.

According to the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime, "virtually every" country in the world was impacted by human trafficking with thousands of men, women and children the victims.

"Statistics show almost three in 10 convicted human traffickers are female.

Study finds half of human traffickers are women, and many have been victims

some more from colin, hes known bs for 30 years, he may have bad health now and no energy to face media?
i copied this bit from the 2015 australian article

Colin Youngberry, a Vietnam veteran from Laurieton, says he has known Spedding for almost three decades and that Spedding is devastated to be linked to William’s disappearance. Margaret Spedding is Youngberry’s wife’s cousin. Bill and Margaret married 28 years ago after both having children with previous partners.

Until four years ago Spedding, an electrician, and Margaret had lived in western NSW at Coonabarabran and Wellington. Four years ago they moved back to the mid-north coast, where Margaret was raised. They initially bought a unit, but sold that when they took on the guardianship of Margaret’s three grandchildren, and moved into larger rented premises to accommodate the boys, who came across from Wellington.

Youngberry says he will not reveal the reasons why they were not living with their own parents but adds: “You can draw your own conclusions, it isn’t that hard.”

He says the Speddings worked extremely hard to give the three boys a stable and loving home and the couple were regulars at school events. The boys were very good at sport and each weekend was spent driving them to games.

And to continue the theme of documented cases where women support their pedophile partners...

Sherele Moody is no stranger to violence. In addition to spending her spare time documenting the violent deaths of Australian women and children, she has an intense personal experience of it.

"The teenager had just returned to her mother's home because her younger sister, Karen, said she was having a tough time. "I left my job and came straight back to ensure she was ok.

Her stepfather picked her up and, on the drive back to the family home, was telling her how a young girl had gone missing from the area.

"He seemed excited to be joining the search the next day," she says. "I remember him putting his State Emergency Service volunteer uniform on and heading off."

The next thing she remembers is several loud bangs on the door and feeling "gobsmacked" to see police stream in and search the house.

She went on to become witness for the Crown against her stepfather. Her mother, Leonie, stayed with and defended Hadlow - whom she had married when Ms Moody was 15. "She was his biggest backer in court. It was sad to watch," Ms Moody says."

Does anyone have any information to add to what was reported about the testimony of Detective Sergeant Laura Beacroft, a forensic profiler working for Strike Force Rosann? She gave evidence at the Lidcombe court on Wed 07 August about the 2018 forensic search; and at the Taree court on Mon 19 Aug and Tue 20 Aug about her work on the POI profile; the re-canvass of neighbours; PS; and the sighting of a boy in the fawn 4WD.

In particular, did she explain the reasons for deciding this:

"Det Beacroft told the court she believes William disappeared between 10.05am and 10.15am."

Just a question regarding the sniffer dogs:
Could someone please enlighten me as to
1. Where did William's scent stop at FGM's property?

Has this been stated? I just wondering of the chances of the scent being left behind if he was taken by foot versus by car. Would this have the same result?
Thank you

Sniffer dogs have failed to pick up any scent of the three-year-old William Tyrell on the NSW mid-north coast, fuelling fears he may not have wandered away from home.

The search for the three-year-old who vanished from his grandmother’s Kendall home on Friday is in its fifth day – and the chances of finding him alive nearby are thought to be rapidly diminishing.

“It’s baffling that there’s no lead at this time,” Superintendent Paul Fehon told Macquarie Radio on Tuesday.

“We would have thought we would have had some indication of something at this stage of this very thorough search.”

Neither police sniffer dogs nor cadaver dogs had been able to pick up any sign of the boy, Fehon said.

He said investigators were “keeping an open mind” about whether William had been taken.

Would the dog pick up a scent if William was being carried?

A scent dog should have i would think? They pick up a scent in the air from what i have read.

From this article
(quote)
Obviously the air is full of a vast variety of different odours, many of which will be powerfully clear to the dog. Fortunately they are able to distinguish between different odours, even if one smell overpowers another, and trace a specific scent to its source.
