Hope this may help clarify, if we do now know new information please edit and change....

Wondering why HS statement to police has been kept hush hush. Are we certain there is one? I also find GO’s call to fgm a little suspect. We don’t know for certain if PS was talking to Lyn “caravan lady” he may have been chatting to Owen and Abbott that morning it’s definitely possible. Owen also told the court he was at the Kendall community centre paying for advertising between 10 and 11am. A confirmed time would be helpful but either way it puts GO close to Benaroon Drive around the time William went missing very close actually.

It was confirmed at Jubelin's Trial that Heather gave a statement.
Also confirmed in Co's Book
Missing William Tyrrell

There is mention in CO's book of 'an itinerant eccentric lady that walks the streets of Kendall from time to time"...(No name is mentioned but I am speculating that this may be Lyn??? ) and the Caravan appears to be part of a "bush camp off Lorne Road on the edge of town consisting of 2 caravans, a shed and a rusted water tank"
It goes on to say "the eccentric lady had nothing to with this crime"

10:05 - 10:15 : Detective Laura Beacroft thinks this time could be when WT went missing

Has she ever given a reason for thinking this was the time frame?

From memory, this came from the First Tranche of the inquest …. the conclusion came after interviewing many people..

I think another contributing factor was the Crabb's hearing that car???? The Police called a press conference in the first few days of William being missing, after interviewing the Crabbs,, to appeal for more info.....

10:00 -10:30ish :

FGM put kettle on ( after being outside with the kids riding the bikes ) ( from CO book )

Kids had now moved to the back deck , after teas made both FFC & FGM sat outside on deck.

Lindsay emptied the pencil container, & a dice rolled out, played dice game where Lindsay would jump the amount of times that the dice landed on.

WT came over & played as well, he soon got bored & than decided to play another game “ Daddy Tiger” , he pretended to be Daddy Tiger , he crawled around on the ground for a bit , playing at being a Tiger, He was running around roaring , in his Velcro sandals & spiderman suit .

He asked Lindsay if she wanted to play too, but she was concentrating on making her card, so William carried on without her , jumping of the deck , roaring & coming back again. He jumped of the deck , ran around the side of the house roared…………….than silence

Searched pool.

Than went to the Miller’s ( they were collecting mail & putting bins out etc whilst the Miller’s were away) They did not have a key for the Miller’s, knew a relative & drove to get key, went back to Miller parked in their driveway & watched police enter the house. 10:05 - 10:15 : Detective Laura Beacroft thinks this time could be when WT went missing

Has she ever given a reason for thinking this was the time frame?

No reason given, but 10.05 was the time given by Sharelle Crabbe.

Det. Beacroft wasn't skeptical of the Crabbes and she found Ron Chapman believable.
Crabbes - 10.05
Chapman - 10.45.
What happened to fill that 40min gap? Did people collude maybe?

Residents were also asked to detail all deliveries and repairs to their home over a one-year period.
During those inquiries, a couple living on Benaroon Drive shared that they'd heard a car going towards the foster grandmother's home and turning around about the time William went missing.
Sharelle and Peter Crabb said they were on their back verandah when heard the car about 10.05am, the inquest was told.

https://www.[link removed].au/william-tyrrell-latest/

The Crabbs were on their veranda at the back of the house, but Mr Craddock told the inquest “residents of Benaroon Drive would notice there were cars if there were cars”.
Asked if the street was “very quiet and noise travels”, Sgt Beacroft said Benaroon Drive was “extremely quiet”.
Asked also if she had been “sceptical” abut the Crabbs’ evidence, Sgt Beacroft said she had “done a lot of work with them”, investigating the claim including visiting them at home in June 2016.
It had been a cold day and the windows and doors at 51 Benaroon Drive were closed when Sharelle Crabb said to Sgt Beacroft: “Listen, do you hear anything?”
When Sgt Beacroft did listen, she then “heard the sound of a car coming up Benaroon Drive”, although she hadn’t heard it when Mrs Crabb did “two to three seconds before I did”.

William Tyrrell inquest: Neighbour saw a child wearing a Spider-Man suit

Det Sgt Beacroft told the inquest Mr Chapman is a well respected gentleman in the area and she had no reason to believe he would be making up what he saw.

Inquest hears of child seen in car wearing Spiderman suit

I think that PS and "Lyn" could have definitely met up and had a "Yak" if she was around at the time... if she was itinerant she could have been bunking at the bush camp... it might explain why he didn't know her last name as well...

You would have to look up the map of PS walk that day to see where he exited the bush to work out if he could have seen FF leaving....??? FF left at approx. 0840hrs and PS got home at approx.08.50... (10mins later) depending on what direction he was coming home would determine if he could possibly see the FF car......IYKWIM

We don't know enough about Heathers statement to make any conclusions.... however, in general, individual statements are taken by Police.... but really we shouldn't assume that either....

One of the long timer WS Members may remember Heathers Funeral Details .. I cant remember, sorry.....

FGM had asked GO for a quote to fix her back deck...… GO stated at the inquest that he returned her call with a price for the repairs to the decking...… He said he spoke to FGM's daughter who accepted the quote.....

At the inquest this call was said to happen on the Thursday …. but in CO's book it states that phone records show the call was made Friday Morning...

There was a legitimate reason for him to call FGM

That's different; I'd previously read 10:30 -10:35. Whose evidence for the time?

Still working my way through your splendid document; thank you.

Just seeming to me that there’s often a 15 minute difference between times, depending on who’s suggesting the time..imo. Maybe all the clocks / watches / phones / cameras are set to different times

I re-listened to the podcast episode where the FFC recalls that morning and what she did once WT went missing. They also played the 000 call and in it the operator says something to the effect of that WT has been missing since about 10.30AM. I believe FFC called 000 just before 11am and the first police officer arrived within 6min which was at 11am. So I do wonder how det.Beaucroft came up with the earlier time for WT's abduction.

Another thing that stood out to me is the supposed sheer silence in the street. If someone took WT by car, you would think that at least the FFC would have heard something or another neighbour. I doubt the perpetrators would be driving slow. Sonehow I think he was taken on foot, but then howcome no one saw the perpetrator?

The FFC's recollection of possibly hearing a child's muffled scream from the dense bush area is so heartbreaking to listen. I wonder if that was WT in there.

In the first podcast episode FFC says that her mum told her (regarding repairs to her machine) that in their town the repairman would just show up when he had the part... could it be that as GO was meant to be doing her deck that he decided to pop in while he was in town on the Friday?? Does PS know GO?

All MOO

Approx. a 25-30 min timeframe.
From his statement (not sure of date, but perhaps same date as Heathers) which Craddock had him confirm at the inquest he was getting ready for his trip to Casino.

C: From your statement about 10:35 I looked at my watch H was getting ready for bingo at Laurieton.

C: Where was she getting ready?

PS: Bedroom

C: What were you doing ?

PS: Getting ready

Heather made a statement on Sept 16th '14. It's a pity we aren't privy to that statement to enable us to see if their statments married up.
Just catching up, but considering HS left the street at the same time FD was arriving home, and her statement was taken only days later, if her and her husband's statements had been inexplicably different, then I'm sure the cops would have had PS investigated long before... what was it, 2016 when they started videotaping and recording him? jmo.

Yes I agree. I’ve mentioned before PS phoning the x-ray place at 10.41 would be an odd thing to do if he had just been involved in an accident or an abduction and was needing to deal with the aftermath.

Also, if PS was guilty of something, he had a pre-existing excuse to leave the area quite legitimately and almost immediately (at 11am): to drive several hundred kilometres north through areas of relatively-isolated bushland to pick up his brother and stay with him for a week.

True. Also Savages car has been through forensic examination seemingly with no result.

If Savage wasn’t on their radar initially how long was it before his car was forensically examined?

Not sure. I also wonder how long before FPs vehicles were forensically examined?

This is something I originally thought ruled him out. But with some of the stranger things that have come out, behaviour etc. I don’t know now if he would have considered this. Too caught in the action?

Paraphrasing from a subscriber only article.

Gary Jubelin recorded an interview with Paul
Savage after receiving a phone call on December 28th 2018 to complain about the dust that had been left in his car, after it was forensically tested.
