Sorry for barging in on the flow. I was looking back in Thread #1 for something else when I stumbled on this:

"In answer to a commenter's question about William possibly having bare feet with his spiderman outfit ... the SES have stated that he had sandals on.

William did not have sandals or any footware on in the pic that was taken that morning. Anyone know if this has been addressed in the timeframe?

So true. When I lived with my Grandparents in a small country town, we often played around the house, while Grandparent sat in the lounge room while us siblings played, fought Front yard Back yard and Friends next door. My children even the one with special needs with play out side in the back yard while I am doing housework. Even the children where I live run around front and back yard we all keep an eye out for them. One four year old took a nasty fall of her bike at my front door, I did First Aid while her siblings ran up the road for help. I take precaution with my children, even neighboughs on two occasions when my child with special needs got out of the house, neighbours were on their way after my child as I was leaving the house looking.
Kendall was a country area, people would keep a lookout for children safety.
But then there are other people .......
With what has happened to William has destroyed the families and neighbours trust most have moved.
South Aussie is correct when it is noisey everything is fine, even after 20 seconds quiet I drop what I am doing and move to see what is going on.
My Grandparents always told us listen to your gut feeling.

and i know myself with my children,i knew what they were doing from the noise..i was in tune to the noises that were not normal sounds lollll it is a skill i developed having children

My point in this is the timing issue which I believe is critical to the case. As we have seen, it is such a small window of opportunity for WT to have been taken. If FFC was distracted with the tea and checking on how long before MFC would return, it may have been a little longer than she remembered. Even one of the investigators thinks he may have been taken earlier than 10.15-30.

Yes I wonder what perfect parents do with their children when they go to the toilet or have a shower, do they tie them up somewhere or make them sit and watch them have a shower etc.
I’m glad my children grew up without being scared of their shadow.
Most people in the world are still good and can be trusted not to steal your child, especially from your own property.

Here I was thinking all these years of not showering until my kids went to asleep and having my children sit on the bathroom floor while I sat on the toilet was not even necessary. To get defensive is to dismiss the point and my point is how many minutes was William gone for before anyone noticed? The reasons for asking this I would think are fairly reasonable

If I had been FM I would have done nothing differently to her. She was at her mothers house which presumably she knew well and was aware if there was anything dangerous around.
She was sitting have a cup of tea within hearing reach of her children, as someone pointed out earlier, it’s when things go quiet, you wonder what your children might be up to.
When I look at what happened that day, I think, there but for the grace of god could have been me.

FM might be the type that doesn't wear a watch or clock watch... I would struggle to nominate a time if I were in her position. I don't think any one is sure what the "real time" his disappearance was.

come to think of it unless i was inside or had my ph i would have to guess to,imo i dont think it was 10.05 just because a car was heard..my guess would be 10.15 to 10.30

I guess ffc put his shoes on at some point before he went running about with her or bike riding ?

If FFC was distracted grandma was there as backup.

Sure has SB, there were pics on the 60 mins program as well as other msm reporting.

Please don’t mistake my comments and questions as finger pointing that’s not the case at all. My intentions are in good faith and in line with the topic. If fm was if fact right in her timing being closer to 10:30 then there would have been a minute window of opportunity to snatch William and go. Alerts went out only minutes after 10:30 to neighbours in the street and ff was virtually around the corner so surely he would have seen a car drive out the street or a person running out of the street at that time. If the time was closer to 10:05 then that would have given someone ample time to take William and get out and as far as possible before any alert and awareness

I think I remember reading that the children had been to the grandfather's grave before. But I don't remember whether they walked up.

I can also remember just vaguely fm mentioning the family going to the cemetery prior to that day but can’t say with certainty if fm mentioned walking or driving

William would have been a bit ov er 2 and a half, I really don't think he would have remembered the way to the cemetery if it was at the time of the Grandfathers funeral.

There are a couple of variables though aren't there; not only how long William was missing before he was missed, but also how long FFC was searching before MFC got home.
