The text says "Tanya" said "Jeffrey" said they didn't see the body.

Jeffrey, not his real name, identified a man before revealing he and his brother had seen the suitcase the man had William in, the girl told the inquest into William's 2014 disappearance.

'Did he also say that he (William) was dead but they didn't see the body?' counsel assisting the coroner, Gerard Craddock SC, asked the girl given the pseudonym Tanya.

'Yes,' she replied in court on Friday.

I know they did ask for information but they were mostly working under the assumption he was just lost. If they had come out with a possible abduction scenario earlier I think those people who saw something may have realised it's relevance a lot sooner. I can't see the benefit of trying to downplay it when a child is missing.

They didn't know what the scenario was. They were trying to cover all bases. The sex squad was called in. They were tracking sex offenders. They were searching people's homes and cars repeatedly. All separate from the huge efforts in the bush.

What part of "Anyone with information about his location has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit the Crime Stoppers online reporting page" pertains to a little child lost only?

If William was lost in the bush, it is doubtful that anyone would know anything.

In 2015 a suitcase was found near of Wynarka with the remains of a little girl (later turned out to be Khandalyce Pearce). Who the unknown well dressed man in his 60s was, who carried a suitcase through the village, is unsolved until today, afaik. I admit, I've forgotten the haircolor of the unknown man (grey? not grey?). Maybe important to know.
Perhaps one should try to clear, whether FA was known to DH (Holdom) and whether FA was the mysterious man, who carried a suitcase with (unknown?) remains. Maybe, there was an exchange of suitcases by two pedos. The suitcase in Wynarka was seen by a truck owner on his daily tour laying on the road side, disappeared and was sometime later seen again by the same person. So the first time, the suitcase was seen, it might have contained another body of a child, not yet the body of little Khandalyce.
I can't believe without doubt, that all should be a coincidence. Evil men, pedos, unscrupulous both of them, IMO, suitcases with dead little children, both of the men working and coming around where ever they wanted, both sometimes active as car mechanics, both living in caravans sometimes (just saw a very good pic of H*ldom's caravan, he had on the Central Coast).
ETA: Last sentence deleted. Want to say: I need help in sleuthing it. :)

I'm butting in, I hope that's OK . . . .

We've heard two accounts of a Tamworth trip involving FA. If they're the same trip, it seems a child may have been present. Perhaps identifying the witness would also identify the child, and that's considered undesirable. Another thought is that some of the protected witness's evidence could be compromising depending on his position; for example, that he was regularly driven about by someone he knew didn't have a license. Not so much if the witness himself is an ex-con.
Who was driving him around I wonder ?
Seems TJ wasn’t happy with him.
Tyrrell inquest hears of 'strange' meeting

Sorry JLZ, poorly worded by me!

No the protected witness has not been in jail that I know of.

Seems like they had regular contact by phone whilst FA in jail.

After FA got out of jail on bail ( & moved to Misty Way) , the witness said he took him on a trip to Blue mountains & Mudgee

Oh - not been in jail ? Seems I was off previously. This now points to me to be MP

FromGermany,

FA is said to be 79 years old now (ABC News, 22 June 2020), so in 2015, when the well-dressed man in Wynarka was described as being "about 60" (The Chronicle, 01 Dec 2018), FA would have been about 74.

Maybe the Wynarka witnesses weren't good at estimating age, or maybe FA looks younger than he is? For me, a gap of 14 years (60 versus 74) is enough to make FA seem more unlikely.

Re Daniel James Holdom aka Daniel James Marshall: back in thread 43, post 131, Websleuther Ms Cadfael said that "the man that killed lil Khandalyce and her mum lived in Taree for a while". According to the details for his ABN (Australian Business Number), his main business location was in NSW 2430 (the postcode area which includes Taree) from 07 Feb 2007 to 27 May 2008: Historical details for ABN 56 852 820 171

JLZ, it not clear sometimes , in court, what is being talked about

It's a bit like a jigsaw puzzle & you have to put all the pieces together.

This is directly from my notes ( & I try to write exactly what is asked & what the witness's reply is ) I may not always get it 100% correct but I try too :D

Mr C - "Around 2013 0r 2014 did you have a white ute?"

Witness : " Yes"

Mr C - " Occasion in 2013/2014 in white ute find detective talking to FA about an approach to a child @ Johns River?"

Witness - " Yes, I went out to take a birthday card & take him to lunch"

Mr C -" Asking about anyone with a white Ute" "FA said didn't know anyone"

Witness ' " Thought it odd, I have a white ute"

Mr C - " First time you thought something a bit suss?"

Witness - " Didn't know if it was coming from Danny"

What do you make of that exchange??

I just can’t help thinking of the saying “it takes a village to raise a child” ......seems to me that there’s a huge ‘village’ load of people who Blindly or Intentionally are Destroying the lives of our children - in particular here in relation to the questions / answers needed for little William. Big questions I have for the P alignment / non-alignment with FA..

I hang my head in shame .. the degrees that we as Humans have declined to would make animals shudder, yet we think we’re superior !

FA has been on screen listening to every witness.

No x examination from FA that have in my notes.

Guess he welcomes the change from the cell block ! Application approved for ‘how long’ of changed position / situation / notoriety

Mr C – “ When FA living at HC Rd, did you see another person who worked there with firewood selling business?”

· IN – “ Guy cut wood & sold Penrith”

· C- “ Did FA say he helped?”

· IN – “ Didn’t say”

· C- “ Did he make comment that guy just up & moved ?”

· IN – “ Yeah thought told gone to Melbourne”

Just looking back at the evidence.... wondering if anymore was said about this person? And did Mr Craddock ask anyone else about this?
Does anyone know?

I'm probably really backward but I've just taken in that the child sexual abuse happened at the mill or another Parish property.

Paywalled. I can't read the article. This is the Google extract:

Have paraphrased a couple of sentences from a very long article for you JLZ...

In September 2014 William vanished from Kendall

In 2015, Abbott was charged with a sexual offence against a child at the minister's relative’s home and was refused bail.

Abbott was found not guilty of the child sexual offence charge in late 2016.

But it was less than a year before Abbott found himself behind bars again — this time charged with sexual offences on other children.

This time it went to trial and he was found guilty.

And yes possibly it was at the Parish property where Abbott lived at the time. (Herons Creek) as he then had to find new accommodation after that.... (Owen's Caravan)

Does the Parish family own the saw mill?

Yes, the property with the little dog. Not sure whether they still own the business or if the business still operates.

Thank you, I think I’m finally starting to connect the dots of the last few pages now.

Mentioned by drsleuth in a previous post quoted below.... there was a firewood supply business operating on the Parish property but not owned by the Parish's. The media use the term sawmill but it's unknown if they are referring to the firewood business or if there is also a small bush mill on the property as well.
I am curious about the protected witness being referred to as linked to the sawmill and someone FA worked for. The details of that business/job/work has not been revealed.

Apparently Mr Northam had developed dementia and did not give evidence.

Well it didn't work very well. Obviously people that did see something didn't get that message. 'Possible abduction' and 'anything suspicious in the area' may have made people get on the blower and actually report what they saw instead of sitting around waiting for someone to ask them.

Yes agree Wex .... This case, and others here in Aus that remain unsolved, makes me wonder if Australia needs its own version of the FBI ...??

I have followed some recent cases in the US where they have called the FBI in very early, and have had amazing results, and the Police Departments involved have been amazed at what technology the FBI has access to etc....

I understand that the FBI cannot solve every case, but I do wonder if Australian Policing needs to "up the ante" and form an elite squad and be given latest resources to assist in resolving crime...
