Gosh I hope April 2017 wasn’t the first time post woman was interviewed.

Yes, it appears it was .... Craig (Lambert) wanted to look at her, as she "had a reason to be in Benaroon Drive that day"

After the interview, they did proceed to check her out with following her movements on CCTV around town etc checking financials etc at the insistence of Craig. (Jubelin says he thought checking out the Post Lady was not necessary and a "waste of time" .)

The CCTV, was it of her movements on 12 September and corroborated what time she said she was in Benaroon, or was it just to see whether she behaved suspiciously at a later date?

To corroborate her movements that day .....
But Craig wasn't satisfied with just that. he checked her out more thoroughly .....

I think they should be okay - as one is a journo and one is an ex-lead detective on the case - but I will alert on my post and see if a mod can clarify how we should reference. Whether that be the book and page number, or a screenshot of the specific excerpt from the page of one of the allowable books.

IIRC stormbird was putting up screenshots when she spoke of particular passages from Overington's book.

Both books can be discussed.

Always give credit to the author. Book title, page # and paraphrasing or brief quotes are allowed.

Screenshots and more extensive quoting requires approval of the author (the copyright holder).

Do not try to get more content in by breaking it up into multiple posts.

Regarding the Process and Cameras etc involved in Williams investigation.....

Police interviewed "263 local residents, captured CCTV from 12 businesses in Kendal and 169 cameras beyond it"

I assume you mean Jubelin and Overington's books but not Chumley's?
I use ebooks, so page numbers will mean nothing to anyone else. Suggestions?

There was more to his testimony Madoodi. There's always more than what's reported.

After quoting the job at FGM's he received a call informing him the hospital procedure he was waiting for was to take place on Tues the 16th. He would be out of action for 6 days. He said he rang FGM on Thursday and spoke to her other daughter.
He was asked questions in relation to FA moving to the caravan at Misty Way Logan's Crossing and about the arrangement that was in place. FA was making improvements to the caravan in return for living there.
He was read a long list of the many different types of work he undertook. He gave agreement to each.
He was asked if he passed FGM's deck repair job onto FA as he was unable to complete it himself in the short term, GO said - no he didn't. He said he wouldn't have as FA's workmanship was not up to his standard.
He was asked what car he owned at the time to which he replied Mazda 626.
He was advised he would be recalled at a later date.

If I'm not mistaken, I think the deck being repaired was maintenance needing to be completed before the sale of the property was settled.
Blues I was just wondering if Geoff Owen said where he was for the remainder of the day? And I was thinking last night I wonder if the Police were able to confirm his "alibi" with CCTV????

With the video interview that was posted by Doc Sleuth (- Thanks Doc :)) I noticed that Jubes said that mobile phones are incredibly useful for the Police re tracking movements etc ....
I'm sure we would all love to know that information re the current POI's.....

BBM
Maybe you could just quote the "Chapter" ????

So it couldn't have been the postie's car the Crabb's heard, as they didn't return home until around 9.30am.
Nope.... It would appear to be a different vehicle... the intrigue continues....

Why don't you just do what sillybilly says? Lots of us use ebooks. If it doesn't happen to fall on the same page - due to the size of text we use or whatever - it wont be far away when we look for it. The idea of adding the chapter is a good one too.

Just thinking back to referencing items for Uni reports. References need to be pretty clear for copyright reasons, and so the lecturer could find your referenced part. We had to use book, publisher, year of publication, edition number, chapter, page #, paragraph # ... for each thing we referenced ... phew!

(sillybilly already said Chumley's book is not allowed, in the post I referenced for you.)

A bit about Abbott that is most interesting ....

"Abbott has also been given a brief of evidence, so he knows everything the Police have gathered about William."

And this is what Jubes thinks about that:

"Surely if you are interested in what Abbott can tell you, you'd put him in the witness box first, before the other witnesses, so he doesn't know what the say about him?

Edit to add: The Coroner was the one who allowed Abbott to represent himself.

Australia - Australia - William Tyrrell, 3, Kendall, Nsw, 12 Sept 2014 - #44

Oh I just noticed (remembered) that he said he paid at the Kendall Community Center between 10.00am and 11.00am........ so right time as well as location .... hmmmm

Ok I just had another read of his testimony, and unless he had testimony that was not published, that was extremely short.
So he inspected FGM's decking on 8 September... could it be possible she let it slip her daughter and kids would be coming hence why she needs it fixed? I know the family arrived a night earlier than expected. Just seems that maybe he was meant to come over the Friday morning to fix (before kids were due to arrive perhaps) and he brought his handyman mates along to help him? Just speculation of course.

His testimony basically pointed out 3 things:
1. He had been to FGM house before
2. He had an "alibi" for the time of the abduction
3. He knew FA

To me that seems like and introduction and then all these other men give testimony with the common link being either FA or GO... then they will wrap up with FA and GO?

It would also be useful to know what time that morning (12th) did G Owen pay for his advertising at the Kendall Community Center????
And if that phone call was before, or after his visit to the Kendall Community Center....??
ETA So phone call at 9.00am and then in Kendall between 10.100am and 11.00am Did he decide to call in and see FGM while he was there??
was his car seen on cctv that morning ? and i wonder what car

So what are everyone's thoughts on this?

Is it a strategy by the Coroner and Craddock to let Abbott think he has power etc and then he will slip up???

Or is Abbott not considered a "suspect" as the media has been calling him?????

Or is the friend that Ray Porter gave the lift to, actually Phil??? and not Abbott??? And will Phil be called at the next tranche?? And who is Phil???

Why keep searching the Parish Property at Herons Creek (we assumed this was due to Abbott) but are the Police actually looking at Danny Parish?

So many questions......

Ok, so I've just started reading Caroline Overington's book. In Chapter 2 page 41, she refers to one of the neighbours who lived in a small brick house with a "box over one of the windows". She then goes on to talk about someone that the FGM mentioned as keeping unusual hours, whom I have seen referred to here as taxi driver.

When I saw these posts previously on this thread, I formed the conclusion that it was the same person. Now I see they are two different people.

So is the former taxi driver the mysterious person who lives at No 35? Or is it the person with the curious box over the window?

What makes you think that #35 is not the house with boxed up window?
