She said he was only meters away, but she drives all the way to the pony club to look for a child that is only meters away away from her on her mother's property, it opens up a time frame of no alibi, and I think at this stage we may not know the order of events as to what stage in the search for WT did she hav no alibi driving to the pony school, everyone's statement is a little different, the tea is still warm after all this time
I thought the riding school was only 2 or 3 mins away in Bater creek road ? I’d it it further

How soon after did WT's sister give her first account of events? That day? Days later?

And Nana? That day?

Do we have records of either's first account of that day's events?

<modsnip>
Wendy Hudson (Police) spoke to William's sister that day when she arrived at the scene.
Another detective spoke to her again the next day.

There was a linked article in the last week for this on the thread.

I have to listen to it again---but I don't think you necessarily spell out everything you did in the 000 call. That call is just to hurry and get help to the house. The question is, did she tell the police in her interviews.
For someone who has demonstrated a propensity to overshare, it's reasonable to think that in a 000 call, that person looking for their child would say, "I've walked up and down Benaroon Drive, I've checked the house, the basement, and I've driven to the Riding School. I can't find him ANYWHERE."

Also, if you consider having to 1) get in the car, 2) drive to the Riding School, 3) Look for x-minutes to see if your child is there, 4) decide to drive back, 5) get out of the car, and 6) call 000 (you would think this was the last activity pre-call) that takes at least eight minutes. Whether or not WT was gone for "15 to 20 minutes" as she said in the 000 call, or "possibly longer than that" as she later modified her narrative, it is still a considerable amount of time within the context of her child disappearing and reporting it.

IIRC she did not tell police in her original statement (prior to walkthrough).

Due to the MFC not being there at the time of the car driving - he can't refute when this occurred. FFC can then change when she went for this trip to after she noticed him missing - because the other 2 witnesses probably are not going to point out the order of when she made this car trip. Especially if they think he's been taken by abduction - the FFC's car trip is not really important in the minds of the 2 witnesses who can state she went for the trip in the car first. Then the FFC has more time to add in the 2 cars to the story as the days move forward and they are truly considering it as a abduction. MOO

Some people here are saying it was murder. Saying LE is looking for the weapons she used. Saying she may have been the driver speeding away with the boy standing up in the Spiderman suit. That is what I am reacting to.

I have already said that I am open to it maybe being an accidental fall. I am not convinced but it is a possibility.

Has FM's original statement been published? Do you recall where? I don't think we have ever seen details of FM's original statement here before.

BREAKING NEWS: Police find new THREE 'items of interest' in soggy search for William Tyrrell and officers admit the objects are 'unusual'

Evidence markers 'H', 'I' and 'J' were placed at Area 1 of the three-pronged search, marking the eighth, ninth and tenth items taken for further forensic testing.

Daily Mail Australia understands the items were unusual and 'not supposed to be there,' but police are yet to determine whether they're relevant to the search.

She didn’t mention it in the 000 call. She said she had searched up and down Benaroon and that’s all.
If I rang 000 for my missing child, I'd want them to come a.s.a.p, I wouldn't be wasting time giving them every detail of where I went, time is precious. jmo

Sorry. Must have read it elsewhere. Can't recall exactly. Maybe I'm mistaken.

Benaroon dr to the show grounds is 5 minutes drive on google earth so im not 100% if the pony club is at the show grounds or the other end of batar creek Rd, either way to go to batar creek road and drive around a little to look for WT its about a 5 min drive maby less depends of where on batar creek road you go and pull over or it could be more that 5 mins depends how far you go plus the same to return, seems strange to go that far when he was only meters away from you at the house, also strange to say it 6 days later on the walk through video with police do we have any other evidence that she told anyone any earlier she didn't mention it in 000 call

The problem isn't that she went searching in the car. The Problem is that she didn't tell police or anyone else that she went searching in the car. IMO

Yes she did. She talked about it in her walk through interview I believe, didnt she? Isn't that when she talked about the truck driver seeing her?

What date was her walkthrough video ?

Yes FM did tell Police about the drive, during the Video Interview.... The interview was recorded 6 days after William went missing.

The Video of this interview was released by the Coroner during the Inquest.

There are biases that make it easy for many to believe an old man is a paedophile, where there are contrasting biases that make it so much harder for those same people to believe a mother can kill her child and cover it up, especially if she's affluent, professional, etc. We have seen this before, and the fallout of those biases are happening in real-time.

ETA: Part of the problem with this investigation is that multiple investigators came at this from the bias that FFC was a "loving mom."

The pony club moved to the showgrounds in 2017.

Prior to that (in 2014) it was by Cobb & Co Road.

The problem katy with what your saying is you have to buy the narrative...because thats when it doesnt make sense.

Who said everything was hunky dory that morning???

FM.

Very true , but you can use the same reckoning to say how do you know that it wasn’t all hunky dory ?

  • #357
Hmmn.

If FFC was so convinced that WT wasn't a wanderer, why was the Riding School one of the places she searched before calling 000?

If FFC was so convinced that WT wasn't a wanderer, why was the Riding School one of the places she searched before calling 000?

She got in the car, drove down the street looking, looked along the end of the street, drove a little further down to where the road to the pony club is, pulled over, said to herself "he wouldn't be this far", turned around, drove back.

It is a distance of about 500m from the end of Benaroon Dr to where she turned around. About a one minute drive away, according to ...... Google Maps .

imo (but there are links)

Was going to the riding school to see / ride ponies part of the families plan while in Kendal?

yes it may well have been.

The original post pertained to whether this information can be proved.

It is the Fm word that everything was hunky dory.
Its just a mute point if it is not supported by 'independant' witnesses.

And its not.
