With 3 leaders ruling them out you'd have to admitt that there must have been another reason other than “well she seems nice, so let’s just leave it”. IMO

I guess Laidlaw thinks differently.

My own view of hearing her talk about the events is that she is controlling the narrative.

I'd love the opportunity to tell her to her face that I think her story is full of holes and 'constructions' and that, overall, I don't believe her -- and see what reaction that elicits.

48 Benaroon Drive is a corner block, ending where a bush trail then begins. The road isn't wide but the proprieties are mostly set well back from it:

Google Maps
My comment was in reference to the road FMC drove to when she made a claim she was in the car looking for William ... I think you have misread and misinterpreted my comment so I am just clarifying the confusion about which topic we were discussing at the time. I
am well versed on the layout and the estate exits and entry points and the size , slopes and driveways of the property .

That's right TGY. Not only was he missed in the ground search but when Pol Air were directing SES to his location they walked passed him twice without seeing him.

Makes you wonder doesn't it?

this is why I truly still believe it's possible it's all a case of misadventure, and he simply got lost and was missed by searchers! I've believed it since the start when LE were adamant neither family were responsible and none of the 'pedo' or other named POIs really seemed to be the obvious suspect either. Even if you put your mind to assuming the worst of the current POI it just doesn't fit.

I have been a Websleuths member for many years, and reading many of the great posts on the missing WT case since this latest search 11 days ago.
In doing some of my own research elsewhere on the internet, I stumbled upon a video by the Police Officer who attended in response to the FM's triple-zero call; he was there very quickly (I think he said within 4 minutes of being contacted to go there) because he was close by. I can imagine that his quick arrival would have been a surprise. In the video, I think that I remember seeing that the Police Officer said that he encountered the Foster Father inside the house, and he was in a distraught state.

Would someone be kind enough to post a link to that video?
Also, would appreciate if a link to the video of the Detective interviewing the Foster Father?

Thank you
i remember that too

off topic question from a long time viewer but new poster-

Why was the thread closed ? Australian case- shouldn't local times be reflected in thread?

The thread was closed due to excessive violations requiring clean up. There are only a few Mods and we are all volunteers who have to sleep, care for our own families, and other things as day to day life demands. When a thread is in a period of excessive violations closures are necessary to prevent the ongoing violations from turning into many more pages of violations requiring hours of clean up for the next mod that comes on the board.

To prevent thread closures, it is up to members to follow the rules and demonstrate that a few hours of not having a mod on line will not result in hours of work.

If this is speculative and fulfilling request of the coroner, I wonder if they will search anywhere else, perhaps FA’s known haunts at the time. He was never cleared was he?

I’m new to this, and struggling to navigate this site and follow the acronyms. Is there anywhere on this site with an index to acronyms used - particularly for the WT case?

Yes, it can look like alphabet soup here at times.

This should help in general: Websleuths Lingo

As for WT case, most commonly used are:

FFC = female foster carer, or FM = foster mother
FFCM female foster carer's mother, or FGM = foster grandmother
MFC = male foster carer, or FF = foster father

Some people refer to William's sister as "Lindsay" (not her real name)

I am hoping they can find something soon to prove they are right. They seemed very confident at the beginning of the search so I hope they are on the right track and close to someting.

Thank you, J Bowie.

I think so too, I think it could explain some of the comments she has made that don't add up. It doesn't necessarily mean she killed him, but she probably glossed over the rough edges by nature IYKWIM.

Just googled IYKWIM. Now I do know what you mean. Ha ha. These acronyms are killing an old lady like me!
