I'm not sure I've read about the "secret" basement. Does anyone have details or a link to more information that would explain why this was "secret"?

And from the same link, this appears to make it a bit clearer the timing of the shirt being found in the pipe, and it would seem it happened AFTER William went missing!

The Telegraph said Spedding attended an unrelated repair job about 14km away from the house, at Dunbogan on the same afternoon.

It was also reported that a plumber who was later called to investigate a blocked pipe at Bill and Margaret Spedding's Bonny Hils house found a child's shirt in one of the pipes, although this item of clothing may not have been linked to William Tyrrell's disappearance."

I do love this but I'm not comfortable it helps show his features properly if people are looking for him. We all know this is him, were familiar with his pics, just if someone else sees this who isn't familiar, it may not accentuate exactly how he looks.

I believe as a tribute poster and not a missing poster it makes no difference. JMO. We already had pages of discussion on personal opinions of the work of other posters here, and a mod came in and said don't personalize stuff. You don't like it, don't share it.

I'm very disturbed that Colin has known BS for "nearly 30 years" since the pedo charges are for an incident 28 years ago.

This reminds me of another case here, in the US, where a missing young lady's entire family turned out to be a bunch of druggie pedo sex dirtbags. Can't recall the case. I think the uncle killed himself, I"m sure someone else knows who I mean - I think she still hasn't been found.

I pray the phrase "all in the family" doesn't apply here. Really I do. So so much.

That is way more difficult to watch now more than ever.....Just a quick observation on the body language and interaction between BS and MS....He was very protective of her in front of the media, held her hand in quite a fierce grip, yet was quite concerned for her safety etc....As soon as they walk away and think the cameras aren't on them anymore, the body language changes. He drops her hand and their is a distance between them. Chalk and cheese really.

re the secret basement iirc this turned out to be a case of the media getting a bit overexcited. From memory (correct me if I wrong) it turned out to be a storage room under the house rather than a full American style basement. They're common here if your house is on a sloping block.

I'm digging back to January with this memory - I could be complete wrong!

This reminds me of when my husband and I were new parents living in an apartment. The girl upstairs lost her cat. She and I had been bickering in previous days and i felt so bad about having words with her that when I heard her cat was missing, I went out of my way to do more than keep an eye out, I called vets and places for her because I felt so guilty about being a b*tch to her recently.

Point being - sometimes extra-helpful people are trying to assuage their feelings of guilt for a related matter.

I see, thank you. I found it interesting - the wording - because it's in a new article. I'd think if there was a slant put on it, there would've been plenty of time to straighten it out for this new article yet it remains.. I suppose that's just how the media is.

Thank you so much fruity... i make up avatars/pictures from images that people use in roleplay rooms, take a picture and add things remove etc use filters etc ..so when making William posters for facebook groups i belong to, i had to say keep it simple and try and make William the total focus but with a twist to draw people in .....
i really love this one points below ....it was an idea at 3am when i was laying in bed thinking ...this is such a puzzle ...

I wonder if maybe it would be good to make the date more universal in nature so people in the US and other places dont' think it's December 9? The way that Websleuths makes a point to say "12 September 2014" for example still pays respect to the way the date is written outside the US yet keeps us from spreading completely wrong info.

Yes - look at the body language - Jubelin is mimicking BS with his hands in his pockets, watching intently and trying to get in his head, pushing the pressure on, letting the other detectives be the "bad cop" and trying to break him. I think Jubelin is watching every reaction of BS and filing it away for future reference, trying to find a crack in the facade to exploit. If I was BS :gasp::jail: I would be terrified that Jubelin was on the case.
