I think for one thing, that the "fight" Adrienne had with her BF that night was a pretty bad fight. Not just an argument or tiff.

Which could have been over someone at the party. Someone who wanted either a) him to herself, or b) her to himself.

I just keep thinking of Lauren and Kortne whenever I come on this thread. Both had wild nights of partying, lots of people involved, possible arguments, etc.

And Lauren has been missing over two years now, Kortne almost one year. If anyone has talked in either case, it has not been enough.

i logged in, and signed up to websleuths specifically for this case/topic AS the internet and news is not properly covering the angles of this... AND the only intelligent discourse i found online, was here. KUDOS ya'll!

a few things, i'm a tempe resident. i've lived in the exact area where she dissapeared, or whatever happened that day/night.

i saw a post on fb regarding a. salinas on sun and actually headed on my bike thru the roosevelt/brown area to check out what particular part o' tempe this happened on sun night, w flashlight in hand as i familiarized myself w this slice of desolate tempe streets; at that time the news was really confusing (right?!) about zero info on the cab being called, or her going to/fro the bfs' apt in scotts, the university/hardy location for cab pickup, or the strange info on the accident. i was in the hood' again few days later, as my friend was having a bbq as well right around the corner at night, and it was SHOCKING that neither her, nor ANYONE at the bbq knew about this incident of a salinas. ridiculous. so, the whole notion that the neighborhood was littered w posters or info, is just not the truth. could be people not caring, or not knowing. either, isn't a good thing.

My biggest qualms and inquiries about this, (from my perspective as a resident of tempe for 19 years off and on,) is the initial vid of the news, with her roommate, specifically. and also, the raising of monies. there is a website setup by her mother to raise a limit of 10,000? posters are saying 6000 cash moolah for reward of finding her?

so, heres' my 3 things on my mind this morning.

1. WHY does the roommate in the initial vid know SO many details of incident? how did she know the car got in accident and had popped tires? how did she know the girl was contacted by bf? why did she know location of car when it was abandoned? there was no info released to us on the missing girls' cellie of any communication w the roommate. i don't like to just throw guilt or conjecture towards a person, BUT in the vid w news, that roommate was highly suspicious, (scared perhaps...) a quick walkthru of her fb and you see very strange posts, about death, revenge, the whole gauntlet of histrionics. so, to my mind this roomy seems odd. what, if any, was a conversation that a salinas had with her? do we know that she first went back to apt and talked w her? after the accident? no reason to get a cab at uni/hardy if apt was between the car left on st, and the convenience store...a terrible walk between those two points. and makes zero sense.

2. the striving to raise money, on this. az is a HUGE kidnap state, the worst in the USA. the aunt in vid said she was concerned that her niece would be 'warm'? its 115-117 this weekend. warmth isnt the issue. is their a debt to be settled? w bf? w past family or friends? note, a year ago the tragedy that befell this family (her cousin was killed.) you can google or find out bout that. WHAT IF this girl was seized/taken and a dowry is on her head to pay back a dealer, etc. IS she in the know? its an angle, a stretch, but her safety would still be in danger if it went sour, as in, she and others faked a kidnap and she goes into hiding until money is capped off for her to magically appear. Or, if she isn't/wasn't in the know, shes definitely in danger or already reached a critical mass for her life being potentially over. ugh.

3. the police in tempe are a fine group, very well organized/funded w amazing K9 units as well. how hard would it of been, to get a whiff/scent of her and trace her car and her movings, to some location? to comb this area and see her movements? it seems very strange, that we haven't been led to know about this, but im hoping the police did this.

On my urban spelunking of said area, you can see the barren lots surrounding the homes on roosevelt/brown and into the hardy into university area. i lived twice in this zone. its not safe. its not covered w security cams that im aware of. my friend (a girl,) was actually assaulted and robbed at the circle k on uni/hardy. i lived a block from it. at midnight to dawn its not an area anyone wants to really walk about. homeless, transients, and people from the near by train tracks wax/wane thru out this college town, and that area? not safe. at all

the park that some talked about? we used to call it drug dealer park. heroin park. junkie park. its been cleaned up a bit, but at night its pretty dark, pretty scary.

i wouldn't equate this area with total madness or a ghetto of poverty/drugs/violence, but its just not a place you wanna wander thru (drunk? drugged? after an accident? confused or tired?)

we have questions. many. the girl/lady who was murdered and left in baseline area of tempe, has been answered to. her bf (who domestically beat her it seems,) killed her. the connection to that, while we all thought it was possible, seems not to be. and, regardless of how the map shows it, that area is a WORLD of diff from the hardy/roosevelt/university area of whatever happened to a salinas.

you can still see a bit of missing posters on the BUSY mill ave by where she disapeared. but at night? many many girls walking alone. DO THEY NOT KNOW about her? do they not know that a man raped a woman by the train tracks in the early morn/night just a few months ago? right near this area. closer to the park/lake... hes dead now, he commit suicide in jail. but gosh, its awful how people just aren't vigilante about their safety in tempe.

the more we question, the more questions arise. i hope my comments are not toooooo long or ridiculous. we all wanna know what the hell happened that night/morn/twilight/dawn. AND WHY THE DAD seemed to be the only one who looked for her the next day, or day following.

IF i woke up to my gf callling me 11 times, and txting me 'coming over' at 3-5am, you betcha i would be concerned. but the bf, the roommate, the party people? well, dad went and found the car. no one else even seemed to care.

ahem. cheers websleuths.

Footage of the boyfriend is on the vid here:
http://www.azcentral.com/community/tempe/articles/20130624missing-tempe-woman-reward.html

To me, he seems to be telling the truth.

The reporter says his name, Francisco -something-

His name is FA. The roommates said they did not see her come back into the apartment after the accident. She said they were all too busy partying. Lastly, at the end of the video, the reporter states that she did not take any clothes with her. ???

Hmm. If both of the bolded are true, this changes lots of things with regard to how we can approach this case.

I'm having issues with the consistency of reporting in this story. The police need to have a press conference to outline the known facts.

And how do they know if they didn't see her? :banghead:

This is a very confusing case and my hinky meter regarding that party and its guests is ... what do hinky meters do? spin out of control? If yes, that's what it does.

Something happened there. Maybe not in the appartment, maybe in the staircase? :moo:

This becoming stranger and stranger with the news report that she did not take any clothes with her.
Could be sloppy reporting, but if not, then someone can't keep up with their lies.
Or the 2 stories came from 2 different people. One says she packed a large purse with personal items (can't remember if they specified clothes or if that was just assumed), 2nd person didn't see her packing and assumes she left without personal items.
Does anyone know if LE has used dogs in their searches?

This is a comment on one of her friend's social media page (I have omitted the profanity): "They have half the ____ wrong on there, they just wanna make it there own story rather than telling the facts. She was NOT drunk."

A search of all stories appearing in Google (news) there is no mention of K-9s. Hope springs eternal...

I'm with Tonto, it seems that with every media release, the facts are getting muddier and muddier.

First reports stated she packed a bag and left to spend the night at her bf's house. Now a friend says she didn't take clothes with her.

One report says she was last seen at Roosevelt and Brown but the times change from 4:30 am to 5 am. Was she seen there once or twice???

And with her keys and wallet being left at the apartment, they are implying that she went back to the apartment after crashing the car and after driving it to Roosevelt and Brown and leaving it there.

Then supposedly she called a cab to meet her at the AM/PM convenience store rather than at her apartment. What for??? And then she didn't show up.

All these different scenerios coming out of the partygoers is confusing. Now we have a FB friend saying that she wasn't drunk after being with her boyfriend, getting in a fight, being at a party at her apartment, and hitting a median on Rio Salado and Ash, and calling a cab. We need a PR from LE to straighten this out.

So it could be that one of the girls at the party was the caller for the cab pickp at am/pm. MOO
I'll have to find which news source I found this: one of the roommates states they didn't notice her coming back. So who at the party placed her keys and wallet? LE said they still had several people they were trying to reach but have been unable to get ahold of.
The answers are at the party as someone posted earlier. MOO

Just to echo the sentiments of others on here, what is going on here? There are so many various news outlets providing conflicting information. We have no clue what's accurate and what's not. Now would be an ideal time for LE to hold a news conference and try to dispel some false information and maybe lay out a timeline (if it does not interfere or hinder their investigation)

The boyfriend told police that Adrienne never arrived. Pooley said the boyfriend is not considered a suspect and has been very cooperative in the investigation.

He said there has been no trace of Adrienne since 5:05 a.m. that morning, when she called a cab, but a cab driver was unable to find her. Her cell phone turned off at 5:07 a.m.

i just had a thought, what if the cabbie didn't find her at AMPM, but maybe she was running a little behind and saw him after he left AMPM, flagged him down and he still picked her up? just thinking that maybe she took her cell phone charger with her and asked the cabbie to plug her phone in for her for the ride, and when she gave it to him, he turned it off?

wait, i just realized, she called for a cab at 5:05 and it was turned off at 5:07. hmmm.

ok, here's another scenario. what if the cabbie saw her walking, offered her a ride.. used her cell phone to call his own cab company to request a ride, then he was the one that picked up the call to "pick her up". this could explain any reasoning for her being in his cab, if she was. then he could have turned her phone off. have dogs been called in to check his cab for her scent?

no clue if this sounds crazy or not.. but being a cabbie would allow a potential predator to pick up an unsuspecting person.

i don't remember reading in any other cases where a cabbie's home was searched when someone went missing, especially after the person wasn't shown on surveillance where she was supposed to be?

is there a possibility that she could have called to have the cabbie pick her up at her apartment, but the cabbie said she said she wanted to be picked up at AMPM? maybe to throw LE off? just thinking out loud here.

I hope LE has more clarity than the media, changing facts make this case difficult to discuss. Didn't a witness state there was another person in the car with her that night?

that's right.. now i need to think about this for a minute to try and come up with a new idea. if there was someone else in the car with her, but they've cleared the BF and say he's fully cooperating.. i wonder if there was another party goer that Adrienne offered to drive home on her way to the BF's house? it could have eaten up some of the extra time we have that's unaccounted for. but did this person go back to her apartment with her after the tires went flat and the car was left behind? maybe that person had their own vehicle? so maybe Adrienne could have gone inside to change, then..

omg. i just had a thought. what if she went inside to change.. the person that she was with waited in his/her car outside for her.. so she went back outside and got in their car. a few options here:

1. adrienne was going to drive that person home in THEIR car
2. maybe the person said that they could drive home, maybe they weren't as drunk anymore..
3. they could have offered to drive her to her BF's house
4. she could have asked them to take her to AMPM because she needed to get something? and would just take a cab, so she called the cab company to meet her there, but then the person in the car took her phone from her, turned it off and then did something horrible??

maybe the person had evil plans all along, or they were mad/pumped up on adrenalin from the earlier accident?

it very well could have been this other (imaginary at this point) person driving Adrienne's car..

i'd think that LE could lift prints off of her car to try to narrow things down. my guess is if there was someone else in the car with her that night, they weren't wearing gloves/trying to cover their tracks in her car.

  • #277
I agree with everyone who has posted that LE needs to do a news conference. At this point I have no idea what the facts are in this case aside from Adrienne's car being immobile and that she is missing. Everything else is pretty murky and unclear.

  • #278
Here is where I am at after reading all news reports :....

I'm starting to think someone took her car without permission and had the accident and she was extremely upset about this.... the 11 calls to the bf could have been her trying to call him and let him know someone took her car.. I believe the person or persons whom took her car are involved in her disapperance MOO

  • #279
That's definitely a new angle and a possibility. I hope LE will clarify some things before the day is over.

Call to cab company at 5:05 am, phone turned off at 5:07 am.

If she were at the appartment when she called for a cab, why would she or one of her friends turn off the phone at that point? Doesn't make sense even if something happened to her at the appartment.

It makes more sense that she had left the appartment to walk to the ampm (to buy something?), was calling the cab while walking and something happened right after the call.

Unless of course she never made the call for the cab herself.
