After reading this last night, I couldn't help but think of Katie Sepich. I know Katie was found but so much rings true to Adrienne....

Here is where I am at after reading all news reports :....

I'm starting to think someone took her car without permission and had the accident and she was extremely upset about this.... the 11 calls to the bf could have been her trying to call him and let him know someone took her car.. I believe the person or persons whom took her car are involved in her disapperance MOO

This. So much this. Not sure about her being upset and calling the BF, but maybe, that makes sense. Up til that point, I am with you. Someone from that party used her car. Also, I think there is more than the one roommate.

It has not been confirmed how many people were in the car - witness said she thought she saw someone in the passenger seat. Just want to keep whatever facts we do have, clear. Could have been more than 2, too, right?

I'm not really on board with this theory yet. Right now it's only a plausible scenario if what we have been told by LE and others isn't entirely true. Again, possible, but not consistent as yet.

Does everyone remember the comment under one of the news articles that stated something along the lines of " snitches get stitches " Perhaps she was going to call the police on whom ever took her car if indeed it was someone else who took her car.

I truly believe this and also believe someone used her phone to call the cab, I believe they did this to try and place Adrienne away from the apt. JMO

Tempe police are consulting with the FBI to make sure they are doing everything possible find a 19-year-old college student who has been missing for more than a week.

Adrienne Salinas, a student at Gateway Community College, has been missing since the morning of June 15. Family members, friends and the Silent Witness Program have raised an $8,000 reward for information leading to her return.

“We have contacted the FBI,’’ said Sgt. Mike Pooley, a Tempe police spokesman. “We want to make sure we are doing everything possible.’’

Rick Salinas, Adrienne’s father, said he is pleased to hear the FBI is joining the investigation.

“I don’t want this to turn into a cold case,’’ Salinas said. “It’s great that the FBI is getting involved.’’

"We are providing assistance," said FBI spokesman Manuel Johnson in Phoenix, adding that the agency wasn't taking over the case.

Pooley said the FBI brings more resources and manpower to the investigation.

Salinas left her disabled car at her apartment, called a cab company about 5 a.m. on June 15 and asked to be picked up at a nearby convenience store so she could visit her boyfriend in Scottsdale, according to police.

Her cellphone either died or was turned off shortly after the call was placed.
The cab driver told police that Salinas never showed up. Police say he's not considered a suspect and neither is Salinas' boyfriend who has cooperated with investigators.

BBM-Is this correct?

right?! makes you wonder if she said that to the cab company, or if it's the reporter saying that that's what adrienne's intentions were... at least that's where we believe her all to be headed. more sloppy reporting??

as i stated, i wanna know, WHY no one went looking for her. only the father.
no one even cared. no communication between anyone for a day, right?

and dad goes looking for her car. imagine how he feels, and felt, that night.

bf gets 11 txts, or was it calls? got a txt saying 'on my way' or whatever it said, and the bf didnt look for her? or roommate. YET ROOMMATE knows all the details of crash, of 2 tires popped or flat? and where the car was abandoned? i cant get over, the complete weirdness of her roomy in vid. just a hunch, but she doesn't seem to be entirely credible.

a side note, going thru a salinas fb page, her relationship status was 'single'. anyone that knows 19 yr olds KNOWS that fb, insty rules their lives, she would of had it in relationship status, or changed it recently, perhaps. that its single or not saying in relationship, its strange as well.

check her roomies fb. chock full of wtf comments, prior to her dissapearing. i won't quote em here.

i dont know what ANY of that means, however. im not sold on a cab driver being the culprit either, at this point... or a connection to the girl murdered and dumped in south tempe. my leanings are that someone in her inner circle is nefarious... ugh

I used to live in Tempe AZ at 19 years old. If anyone wants any info on the area from a local perspective I can let you know (if it helps you develop a theory better). Just saying. Anything to help.

This seems so strange to me. A while back I received a text just as I got into bed from my boyfriend, who'd been out for the night, saying that he was on his way home and wouldn't be long. I dropped off to sleep and woke up about 3 hours later, only to find he hadn't come home. I immediately panicked and was trying to get in touch with him, which thankfully I was able to do quickly, only to find he'd bumped into a friend and ended up calling round to his house rather than walk the rest of the way home (he hadn't want to send another text/call since I'd said I was about to go to bed).

I can't imagine having so many missed calls/texts, even if we'd argued, and not being very concerned at a no show.

Begay Barakzai's murder suspect has been arrested.

Wondering if any connection by he and Adrienne? (god I hope not)

Sorry just getting on this case!

Ok .

I'm convinced this was Douglas George.

"The slaying shocked a normally quiet Tempe neighborhood, near McClintock Drive and U.S. 60, where the woman was found at about 4:30 a.m. lying in the middle of the street."

(taken from aforementioned link in previous post)

around the area the body was dropped at 4:30 am, Adrienne would be around that same area at 5am, walking toward where the cab was to meet her.

Is it possible George picked up Adrienne after dropping His victim in the road?

The time and place fit. Both Adrienne and mr. George were in the same area around the same time that George dropped the body.

If the bf did have nothing to do with things, then it could be that they argued for quite a while. He brought her back to her apartment. He was tired and just wanted to go home and not deal with the issues anymore. But she still wanted to talk...so she was texting etc and saying she was coming over. Meanwhile he could have gone to sleep....and might have woked up late morning and just be tired and frustrated from their arguing. He could have shut his phone off or left it out of his bedroom so he just didn't have to deal with her. I mean it was the middle of the night and they had been drinking...

Of course that is "if" he didn't have anything to do with her disappearance.

IMO and theory , based on facts provided to us from LE and other credible articles:

George picked Salinas up when he was heading south toward his home on baseline, after dropping Barakzai's body off. I think he took the 60 to the 101 and got off on rural/Scottsdale rd (took hwy to get away from drop site near the ramp quicker)

I also know from living in Tempe that the area Salinas disappeared is kind of a side road from rural rd. And Mill Ave. So yes as another user corrected me, the area she went missing is not as desolate as I had previously thought.

Edited this post after correction of area where Adrienne disappeared.

2hip2besquare, i dont wanna argue semantics here, or geography, specifically... did you read my prior posts?

i don't know how you can say yr familiar with tempe and somehow think that 5th/hardy or roosevelt/brown OR rio salado/ash is ANYWHERE near where the lady who was murdered was dropped. it doesn't. sure, its very suspicious, but aside from the timeline, what else leads you to believe its connected?

two different areas of tempe; as similiar as beverly hills is, to riverside

just because google maps show that if you go 2-3 streets you can reach the other destination, well i can also drive to scottsdale in a few mins from where i am and that doesn't make north tempe ANYTHING like the area by scotts fashion square.

lets stick to the facts, and worse yet, THE MUDDY info the media has dealt out. seems like it changes everytime.

But I thought there was a witness or two that saw her run into the curb. It was reported they 'tried to help her' but she declined aid and walked off. Am I remembering correctly?

Ok well my apologies I was confusing the 60 and the 101... Thanks for waking me up to that as its something obvious I normally would not screw up.

Anyway.

Either way I know he could get to N Tempe from that area of 60 and McClintock within 30 minutes easy, especially if he just took the 60 back to the 101 and got off at rural/Scottsdale rd exit.

I lived on southern and Dorsey. Get it?
