I am not seeing how this info is very hopeful. She is gone, a car seemed to have been following her.

 The HOPE is that they will get a better image of the vehicle.

I may have kind of sort of asked them for a photo of the vehicle.

This still may be someone she "knew" (of)... :banghead:

DANG IT DANG IT DANG IT!!!!

I agree. This could be someone she knew. Someone from the party or maybe someone who lived in her apartments. This makes so much sense and what most have been saying/thinking. This could be what happened in that very short window of time between 5:06 and 5:07.

Where is this place from her apartment, do we know? How close to home was she? I am confused, was she seen on video after having gone home once already? This article is confusing.

whoa. 1002 university (o'reilly auto) is next door to the ampm. She was literally seconds away from the cab, and perhaps even within sight of it.

seconds.

yep, auto parts right there. WHY THE HECK was she on the west side of the street? i talked about this prior, when we spoke about the west side of the park, and i wondered why she would EVER cross the street over there.

she lives on east side of hardy, by brown/hardy area. ampm is on east side of street. WHY WHY would she be crossing that parking lot at oreillys auto?

1st pic, looking south down hardy, on west side is the parking entrance to the auto parts

2nd pic, thats on university which runs west/east and is looking north into that parking lot of auto store, you can see hardy going NORTH and thats the corner of ampm, the northeast corner in that pic.

Goblinsolo - is it even remotely possible that they are trying to say the O'Reilly's cam caught her in the west parking lot of the AM PM?! Gah!

I am having such directional challenge right now...

Can we get the timeline updated?

If so, I'd be looking at the cab driver even harder. Heck, he should have heard her scream* from where she was even if it was across the street at O'Reillys. His story is a bit odd in this new context, and deserves more scrutiny.

*Unless she knew her abductor and willingly took a ride, which is quite possible considering she was a couple of blocks from home, and where a party of 40+ had been not long prior.

i just dont see why she would of entered that west entrance to parts store? and especially, the university entrance. im thinking she took off from the ampm for whatever reason, OR HAD TO CROSS hardy even earlier as she headed to ampm, south?

we have talked on this forum, (usually after we discuss the more outlandish theories,) we all have usually returned to that window of time that she left her apt and went to the cab location she called in for, at ampm. this vid of a woman in parking lot of oreillys, was at 4:52!?!? which was few mins after txting im coming over for a salinas...

my thinking is that this car was pursuing or following her, and she cut into oreillys to get away from them. she has no reason to go into that area, it just makes no logical sense unless she was being chased/pursued. imo

the reason i believe that she wasn't at ampm waiting for cab or even got close to that lot, and had to be chased prior on westside of street, is that the ampm lot has a decent amount of surveillance over that whole lot, (as reported by LE,) and both she or this car/suv would of been seen on that as well.

my skin crawls with these new details. im gonna be in mesa tonight, but later on this evening, perhaps WAY later tonight, like 2amish, im gonna try to head over to the car parts store and scope out where the surveillance cams are and map the route she might of taken to even find herself in that lot.

this feels (in a somber, sad way,) to not be very good news. i hate being pessimistic, but it just feels ultra jitters/bad news as it reads imo

But wouldn't she have been running, rather than walking, if she was scared?

  • #334
If someone was following her, there is a high probability that it was a scraggler who was either a) at the apartment when she left, or b) had left the party a short time prior to her but was still in the parking lot.

She may have crossed the street because the driver was harrassing her and she figured he couldn't drive the wrong way and would leave her alone... I am SICK. :'( She must have been terrified and was just taking what seemed like the easiest out. What do you think the odds are that she WILLINGLY got into that vehicle because that is still a viable option (good Samaritan) Ugh...

She may have been until she got to what she thought was a "safe" place... or again, she may have known this person(s).

ETA: She may have even had the cab in her sight from that parking lot...

Is the dark 4-door vehicle in the story the cab or another car?

I think this video almost rules out her leaving on her own. We don't KNOW it is connected...but it seems too suspicious to be otherwise.

I'm sort of not buying the whole 'random driver stalking/harrassing her' angle. She had plenty of places to run where he couldn't drive and even more opportunity to scream where someone would hear her while she was running*. Whomever got her she either a) knew, or b) scheduled.

*Even if it was more than one perp where one could drive and one could give chase on foot, she would have been screaming at the top of her lungs within earshot of the cab driver and others at the AMPM.
