Would you have left your wallet in an apartment full of party goers?
If there was no money in it maybe.
I would, and I have. When I was younger we used to have quite big (and wild) parties at my place, and while I would have known MOST of the people there, I definitely didn't know ALL of them, and on top of that there were probably only really a handful that I knew REALLY well. We had an open door policy, and trusted everyone that came in... it was almost like an unspoken rule that if you came to our house you didn't wreck the place or steal from us. I'd leave my handbag with my wallet in my room, along with all my valuables, sometimes not even hidden away (depending on how much I'd had to drink).
Although, that did change about a year later, when quite a large sum of money went missing from our house. But these are the things you learn as you get older...
I would, if my goal was to NOT have ID on me, as then if she was asked for ID by a cop, she could say she forgot her wallet. I doubt she carried anything at all, except maybe cash in a pocket.
And really, I do not feel it is confirmed that the apartment was still full of people. Would like to hear LE say the party went on until 5am. Do we know if they have? Or just "media"?
This is something else to consider - by the time she left the party wouldn't have been in full swing, and was likely just a handful of close friends that she would have trusted around her property anyway. And if she were trying to avoid being identified by LE (which I very strongly believe she was), I don't think it's a stretch to believe she left her wallet at home in case LE ended up catching up with her.
What about impaired judgement from a head injury? There may be no outwards signs of injury but it's there. The person suffering from it may not realize that they are affected.
That could be a factor in this case IMO.
I think this could come into play here, if she hit her head she may have been suffering from a concussion. This could have made her more vulnerable to an abductor. I don't believe she succumbed to an injury and lay down somewhere, she would have been found by now.
Think she was going to meet someone at the circle k to pick up weed or something before meeting the cabby? She liked to smoke a good bit by account of her references and pics of MJ.
Her dad had given her shopping cash the last time he saw her before she disappeared. I know that when I go to meet "my guy", I usually don't bring wallet and ID (cash only) and I DO get in their car for a ride while picking up so as to not look suspicious standing outside a car while buying herb.
Lol just a thought. I'm giving myself away here.
I think this is a strong possibility. It's fairly common practice to get in the car to make a deal, so it wouldn't really have been difficult to just drive off with her. And at this time of the morning it's very unlikely that anyone would have known she was meeting up with a dealer, especially as Adrienne didn't see her room mates before she headed off again (so no one would have known if she were planning on meeting up with someone before catching her cab - heck, no one even knew she was getting the cab). When she last spoke to the cab driver to let him know she was only about a minute away she could have been with her dealer already, which is why she indicated she wasn't very far away - she just had to finish up with her dealer and walk over the road. Meeting a drug dealer is also something that you wouldn't tell the cabbie you were doing, as it may have compromised her being able to get a lift with him.
This person may well have even been someone at the party who saw her fighting with her boyfriend, and thought they might be in with a chance - she is definitely a very attractive young woman. Even if they had no intention of abducting her, something could have gone wrong and they panicked. Problem is, this is going to be very hard to trace if this is actually what happened.
