Um. No we aren't. I thought we had established this posts back when apparently examiner isn't even allowed?????? If that's not allowed, then how on earth would links to people's personal profiles fly?

Anyways.

I thought the victims' profiles were ok. If.they are over 18?

eek: time for a refresher class!

Links to victim's FB pages have been allowed, unless this has changed.

We can post links to the victim's social media pages if they're over 18 but we can't discuss them aside from the briefest of paraphrasing when necessary to guide someone to a certain post or image or whatever.

It's almost like they knew you were coming and had a set response. I wouldn't doubt it. Seems 'others' got theirs almost immediately. So frustrating.

It's okay. :) I've contacted a family member who is an attorney and with close ties to Maricopa County Superior Court and more expedient access to case records. We may have a miracle. :)

Snipped for space...

I once lived with a girl who was absolutely filthy in the way she kept her living section clean. We got in trouble from the real estate agent we were renting from several times because her room was such a mess (and a fire hazard) - literally dirty plates/bowls/etc in her room growing mold, and clothes, shoes and other random stuff everywhere. You couldn't even see the floor. When it was her turn to do the dishes they would sit there for days, until either myself or one of my other room mates got sick of it and did it ourselves. She also had cats... and hardly emptied the kitty litter. Even when they did their business in the house it would take her forever to clean up - even if she was expecting visitors. She was 18 at the time, so I think it's just part of living away from home in the transition period between teenage years and young adulthood, and not having parents around to tell you to clean up after yourself (combined with a little immaturity). It's also possible that Adrienne's room mates just kept partying through the day and didn't feel the need to clean up after the animals until after the second night of partying, maybe the were a little resentful that Adrienne was not home to do it herself and they decided to leave it for her when she got back.

They may not have even realized that Adrienne was missing at this stage. Perhaps it was as others have posted, that Adrienne had 'grown up' a little (for lack of a better term) and didn't feel the need to party her weekends away anymore, so her friends assumed she was staying the night elsewhere and didn't worry too much when she didn't come home. Especially if her and her boyfriend were fighting; they may have thought she was spending the night there to work things out. Sometimes when I was her age and my room mates were having parties when I had work early the next morning, I would stay at my boyfriends house so I could get a good nights sleep.

Just something to consider. :twocents:

ETA: And if this were one of those parties where everyone just shows up (regardless of how well they know the people hosting), it's not unreasonable to believe that the place was absolutely trashed from the party goers there the night before.

As a nurse that did do home visits with a pediatric home health agency... the word "filthy" is a word we were rarely allowed to use.
Disorganized- cluttered- in disrepair...
We were there only to care for our patients, not to judge their housekeeping skills.

While there were no underage children living in the apartment, there was a young woman recovering from a major lung illness... in other words an "at risk'" adult... IMO - molds and bacteria stemming from areas where pets soiled carpets only stress a person's system when they have suffered a significant illness..

I have no idea how LE is schooled, but I find the fact that it was pointed out very significant...

MAYBE it is viewed differently in the healthcare field.

Valid. Very. I will comment that in the field of healthcare we have carefully defined parameters of terminology. Fact, not speculation or opinion... I get the sense things are different in law enforcement.

Social Networks

Regarding Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and other social networking or blog websites: Links may be used to direct posters to view something on a social networking page. But postings on social networking sites are not considered fact; they are rumor. Copying and pasting, or taking screen caps, directly from these pages is not allowed. Paraphrasing is okay. (Exception: If the Twitter or Facebook post belongs to a verified news station, it may be copied. But a link should still be provided.)

Also, social networking pages may only be linked if they are directly related to a case, i.e. the victim or suspect. We don't want to post to someone's mother, brother, employer, milkman, or postal carrier just because they know the main player. We also NEVER link to minor's pages (unless they are the victim). And be sure that the page actually belongs to the person being discussed. Do not link to someone if you are not 100% sure it is the correct person. And if a social networking is set to private and you get in the back way, you may not post what you find. Private means private!

**** warning not for the SQUEAMISH...
True! I hear ya! My roomies in college never cleaned anything. The girl in my room left her panties on the floor crotch side UP. <vomit>

I had to pretend to be a bloodhound. There was a smell of death in the room. I found a bowl under her bed... (thought it was chicken noodle)

Took it to the kitchen sink and turned on the hot water...

the noodles started crawling out of the sides of the bowl!!!! maggots

I bailed on her that night...
paid my share but was haunted for months -seriously I know nasty ....

One single page of the 33 page police report. Imagine how much we would get out of 32 more!

policereportpage12_zpsfa53a36b.jpg

what really irks me the most is that... this thing is already typed up. it's not like there's a one-key-at-a-time-typist sitting in the basement of some old dusty building typing up each and every COPY that is requested. the thing is ALREADY TYPED UP and it only takes 1 second to click the print button. hand over the cash to pay for the pages and voila! yes, i realize they have other things to do.. but come on.. 30 days??

sorry. pregnancy hormones are getting the best of me.

Well... any concern I was having over the 500 calorie meal I had eaten has been successfully eliminated.

Lest anyone be confused, they had no problem taking the cash. ;)

I'm wondering if they background check the people making the requests or something first. More likely though there's just one FOIA officer going through form by form and responding to them or something though I guess.

 Yuck! That's horrible. Although, once or twice I woke up to find maggots all over the kitchen floor because someone hadn't taken the rubbish out (again!). And who do you think had to clean that up?

I'm such a clean freak now, I can't stand mess.

So, to get back on topic, it's entirely possible that this was just the way the apartment was, and the mess of the party the night before just made it a whole lot worse. ;)

Plus, I don't know if LE have as strict guidelines as those in the health field, but I would assume not. Depending on the officer who made the report, the description could have varied - one person's mess is another's haven!

i can hear my dad now. "typical government and their red tape. it takes forever to get anything done". it's exactly what he says.. every.time.

I'm clean! In fact, I carry a DPS issued background clearance card for my profession. NOW GIMME THE DAMNED REPORT!

Maybe I should have flipped that down on the counter. ?
