Where is this coming from that the cab driver has been cleared? I've seen one article that directly alludes to that, and a couple more that reference that particular article, but no direct quotes from LE in this regard. If I recall correctly, Pooley has stated directly that the boyfriend has been 'ruled out at this time', but I've seen no such mention of the cab driver. In fact, the evening before this article came out, Pooley stated on national television that no one has been ruled out.
There are so many articles with so many discrepancies, misreports, or outright falsehoods that frankly if I don't hear it from LE directly I'm not going to give it much weight.
LE needs to give a press conference. Period.
My bro in law retired from the San Jose PD in California. He went up the ranks from street beat, gangs, drugs, and homicide. I have also had my share of LE involvement with my 1st ex, who was/is a multiple felon.
Without a confession, LE has absolutely no obligation to tell the truth. They will "lie" to the suspects, family, MSM, all in an effort to smoke out the guilty party. They have no obligation to reveal the truth about a polygraph UNLESS the individual is represented by an attorney. The have no obligation to reveal someone is or isn't a suspect UNLESS that individual has legal council.
AS's family on their FB page said LE and FBI were following promising leads as of yesterday...........maybe putting someone's feet over the fire?
What exactly does LE need to solve this case?
1. A body
2. A confession
When a perp thinks they are in the clear, goes about their daily whatever, do they look over their shoulder to see if they are being watched? Aren't they a little more loose in their behavior? Maybe tip their hand to a lie? Say something suspicious?
And then it comes out that LE has promising leads. Will this force the hand of the perp? Maybe the perp will double check his dump site, trophies, crime scene, clean up... the disorganized criminal will often go back to the scene of the crime (google all the sites about criminals returning to the scene of their crime).
Pooley has given NOTHING to the MSM of any value. We know the general area of the disappearance and pings on her cell, but what else? We don't have the clothes, we don't have an exact time of AS's disappearance or where she was or heading to. We don't know if LE believes she made the last 34 calls on her cell. We don't know if they believe she ever left the apt the last time.
Pooley is playing it close to his vest. LE may have had their main suspect within the 1st 2 weeks. Every time there is a neighborhood search, a searched lake, a new set of eyes, dogs brought in, the FBI, a vigil, Tempe LE is watching the reaction of a specific group of people or an individual.
I believe that they think or know that this was not a random abduction. All their effort is being put in the general vicinity of Tempe.
Is there any MSM that actually has the police report? Where are all the party goers? Why haven't they been sought by MSM to opine?
How many times have we seen mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, friends, etc., cry before the media cameras "We only want our missing back" and weeks or months down the line, there they are being lead into the jail with murder charges?
Every LE I've ever encountered has said you have to "think" like a criminal to "catch" a criminal.
Thinking like a criminal, I would NOT take the chance of abducting a person around 5:00 in the vicinity of the AM/PM on Hardy and University on a Saturday morning. I know the area. It is too high risk. There is just enough activity to make a person stand out. The AM/PM, Starbucks, Circle K, the traffic light, 2 main drags, University and Hardy, people starting their day or returning from a late night out, and visibility.
JMO
Compare this to the CA case. MSM almost every night about it until she was found. The J Shockley case played out the same way.
Now you have a good idea of where all my "out of the box" theories are coming from.
As my bro in law always said, "You can't snow the snowman". And he was very good at his job.
