His apartments exact location was never specified to me unless it is in the police report somewhere?

He lives up in scottsdale. I'll ping a general idea of the location of Scottsdale in relation to Adrienne's place:

Margarita25: Now I did a search and think I found his address, which is right on the line of Scottsdale and Phoenix area: E McDowell

The correct address is 4140 N. Parkway, Scottsdale. It's listed on the GOR right under his name on page 2 of "Subjects.

Thank you! 16 minutes from A's place to BF's... He lives further up than I thought... Off Indian school
Just east of downtown Scottsdale.

If Adrienne had been drinking that night before she wrecked (which I don't think she did wreck the car - someone else did), and if she is responsible as her dad said, I would think she would not utilize Rio Salado to Mill or Scottsdale Rd bc both are crawling with cops. I'm thinking bc she is a local she understood this.

I would think she would have taken West onto Rio Salado and then hit Hohokam Expressway N to get to his... Not take SE on Rio Salado toward Mill Ave.

Then again her boyfriend supposedly utilized that same general route (5th and mill) when he dropped her off...

Drinking and driving right next to the police station near Ash? Not very smart.

Good Afternoon!

This is my first post, ever. I have contemplated joining Websleuths many an occasion prior to this - but this is the first time I have had a case hit so close to where I live (I have a family member who lives in between Hardy & University and Hardy & 5th).

I have so many thoughts surrounding/regarding this case, all speculation - of course; all my own opinion. I'm not sure how best to express them, seeing as how I don't want to stir the pot any on my first appearance - so, please bear with me.

Do we know if the local local sex offenders been checked out? I ask this because while I was at the family member's house on Sunday (who lives along the street that Adrianne, more than likely, would have taken that night to reach the AM PM) I noticed that she had two notices, taped up to her refrigerator, of sex offenders who had recently moved in (I am also unsure if the disappearance prompted the notices, or if they were sent routinely).

Do we know, for sure, if Adrianne stopped back by the party at her apartment to change - prior to meeting the cab at AM PM? A part of me has wondered if, one of the last remaining party-goers, was compelled to follow her/apprehend her.. They would have access to a vehicle (which we now know that the perpetrator must have had) & would have been well-aware of Adrianne's presence/direction.

Any contributing information, if possible, would be helpful. Thank you & hello!

:welcome6:

Glad to see another local who knows the area!!!!!!!! I lived on 9th St. just off of Hardy and South of University, step out the back gate, cross the alley and Circle K was right there. Many years ago. If you were around in early 1978, a group of friends and I found the girl who was placed on the train tracks off Price Road and Broadway. We were enrolled in Neighborhood Youth Corp and we'd eat our lunches right there on the bank of the canal next to the tracks, and put nickels and pennys on the track to collect the following day. Nobody claimed their change that day and a couple lost their lunches. Very surreal.

Unless it's during a shift change, you're not going to be stopped. If they're doing DUI stops, they usually get you on the bridges because you can't take a side street or back track. JMO

I'm aware. But don't you think there will
Be more cops around the common areas of town rather than side streets that bypass downtown Tempe?

The police station is right there on 5th street and Mill. Could it be the 5th and mill report later released in the media was just a means of tricking/intimidating the suspect???

I got pulled over at University and rural twice in college. Wasnt even driving erratically. They were Defo trying to just have an excuse to bust me for something underage.

You can't tell me that rural rd and mill (especially anything around UNI & Apache between McClintock and Ash) aren't crawling with cops that profile college aged kids. I lived it not too long ago.

No, I'm saying that right there by the cop shop (5th and Mill, NOT the sub stations) , you're less likely to get stopped unless it's during a shift change, savy? Has nothing to do with the accident, I'm saying DUI in reference to what route you said BF may have used in case he was drinking.

"Tempe police continue to brave sweltering heat Monday morning as they search a four-mile stretch of wash in Apache Junction for evidence related to the disappearance and death of 19-year-old Adrienne Salinas.

Sgt. Mike Pooley, a police spokesman, said that the search will continue Monday, with a smaller group.

Monday’s operation is part of a planned strategy by detectives to do smaller, more targeted searches utilizing GPS coordinates, Pooley said.

Tempe police confirmed Thursday that a badly decomposed body found by an Apache Junction property owner was that of Salinas, who had been missing since June 15."

her inbox, sorry i deleted my message telling her to clear it after i knew she saw it, so now all by itself that does look odd. like she's proclaiming herself cleared in this case. :P yikes, LOL

Too funny....I thought maybe a suspect had been cleared and I missed it!

:floorlaugh:

  • #915
Wait... the last clothing we know of her wearing was already found though.

In her apartment.

So "She must have come back and changed but nobody saw her".

*hinkymeter ++ *

Omg GGE I'm
So glad you hit this! Yes it bothered me too. Was she naked when she was left? It's been bugging me considering the clothes she had been wearing were found back in the apartment.

!!!

Please stay on this thread right now. No attention deficit allowed right now brilliant one! ;). Hehe

From what I've read about the case, either the cab driver or a random predator probably did this. However, it seems hard for me to believe that a random predator would be up and looking for a victim at five in the morning. 2AM or 3AM? Maybe. But 5AM? Probably not.

I don't believe a group of drunk and high underage kids can plan some elaborate murder and coverup and keep it to themselves without a rat in their midst. Especially if the boyfriend were involved. There are far better ways to cover up a crime than going through all of this nonsense. It is far easier for me to believe that a cab driver puts himself on video for a few seconds at a store to cover his tracks than it is for me to believe that these kids could have or would have gone to such extremes to cover up the murder of their friend. Or, a cab driver could have gone into the store, didn't see his fare, called her, and left to pick her up elsewhere.

The cab driver's father, in an interview, said that his son left the store and went straight to his father's house to turn in shift money. Who does this at 5 in the morning? That doesn't make any sense. I know the police probably verified that he went there, but I wonder if they verified his whereabouts the rest of that day and afterwards. Where was his dad during those times?

My money is on the cab driver. It just seems practical to me. He was the last person to contact her and the last person she contacted. He was within a few hundred feet of where she was last reported to be. When all else fails, go with the statistics.

Sorry for my long opening post. I hope they find who did this to her.

For me IMO, she kept going back to the boyfriend time and time again.

He speaks of her in the past tense in his media interviews only 2 weeks after her disappearance.

They were fighting. Most crimes (93%) commuted against women are committed by a perpetrator that they knew.

Thanks for posting :) welcome to the thread. Justice for Adrienne here on earth.

BBM.. so wait.. the body was badly decomposed? to me this is different than skeletal remains. i don't remember how it was originally worded when the remains were found, but it really seemed like most of us (?) thought it was just bones left??

sorry for being so graphic. blehh.

Clothing will come off in water, especially if the water was raging from flooding and if her body traveled. We have seen this before. She may have been partially clothed. I also think she was probably...assaulted by the perp.
