UPDATE: Prosecution says they may rest today in the #MissingSisterMurderTrial. I watched Michael Turney as the judge inquired about if he planned to testify. His face was blank, gave no emotional indication of what the answer may be as his attorneys told judge “we will see.”

There were several contracts between teenage Alissa and her stepfather. This one was a custodial contract to allow her to stay with her older brothers one year before she went missing.
“Why, is he black?” This line has been redacted from a conversation Alissa & her aunt had over Mike Turney disapproving of her boyfriend. Defense says this paints him in a bad light. I also noticed prosecutor didn’t read aloud the line in his contract about “bisexual ideologies”

I’m speechless. The State’s case is nearing an end. They just played a profanity-laced, berating&disgruntled audio recording of Mike Turney complaining to a friend about how horrible his life is bc of his a**hole, c***s*cking, b**ch of a daughter Alissa. Strongest evidence yet.

Very weird conversation... felt like Alissa was not comfortable fully opening up. But the phone call seemed set up since MT called the aunt right before. IMOO

Are MT's attorneys trying to insinuate that she's still alive? Even though she left everything and never tried to contact her family and friends? When there's no evidence that she used her social security number after her disappearance?

Yes. But have sort of alluded to different things that could have happened. Sex Trafficking, Drug addiction somewhere, with an adult male, or something happened to her after she ran away.

His other attorney said the same thing to the other detective on cross yesterday. Seems like they are trying to play that unproven theory too.

Was it stated that the defense has no witnesses (or no witnesses ready?). They can call MT but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't want to testify. The defense is coming off as desperate.
Defense may have one witness. I'm not clear on whether a witness will come forward for the defense once they're ready, and it's still up in the air if MT will testify.
That would be a mistake, imo. Maybe someone else here knows. Moo
