I was over at Allison's house again last night and took a few more photos of the area. There are some I will be able to post I think but I first need to get them on my computer.
I did find something I hadn't seen before when I was there that I wanted to share with you. So, I used Google Earth to illustrate it:

Here are some of my latest observations:
When you look down at the red lines, they are the alley's by Allison's house. I knew she had an alley directly behind her but when I went over there the other night, when it was so very dark, I couldn't see that there was another alley almost directly in front of her house. I spoke with some neighbors who were walking their dogs late at night and they told me that was the alley that LE had all the caution tape around. Maybe they had it in back too, I'm not sure, but I always thought the photo I had seen on the news looked different from that alley behind her house.
It certainly would make for an easy getaway for the perp. That could be why he left through the front instead of the back.
The other thing I noticed this time, because I walked down the alley right behind Allison's house, was that her back wall really is very low. In fact, a tall man would probably be able to see over it just standing there. And to top that off, the top one foot of the wall has openings in it, lattice style, that anyone can just look through. I took some pics of it last night to show how easily it is to see. I didn't go over there by myself this time. I went with one of our fellow websleuthers, who does not wish to be identified at this time. (Hopefully later.) I'm glad I didn't have to go alone. It was comforting to have a partner in crime, so to speak.
We had a nice chat with the neighbors who were walking with their dogs and got their take on things as they live right close to Allison and had met her on one occasion. They talked about how sweet she was and how sad it was at the same time. I asked them about cars in front of her house and they said there was rarely ever a car parked out front or in the drive, but that they would see cars go into the garage from time to time and didn't know what kind of car Allison even drove.
But what this told me is that probably if Allison had overnight guests, they probably parked in the garage and not the driveway.
Which also means they might have had their own garage door openers even, if they were regular visitors.
I have more I will add later but for now I'm not feeling very well and so I'm going to go lay down for a bit and then I'll try to come back and upload the pics I took that I feel I can share with you.
For now...keep posting. I'm enjoying your posts.
And the bottle of champagne makes me think of all the pics of wine and champagne in the photos of Allison's trip to Paris.
I actually don't think Allison would have left it out in a window. It makes me think even more that there was something amiss after that photo was posted. That bottle never got opened. There was probably no valentine's night celebration.
There would have been photos. IMO
