One last thought....for a little while...

We always feel so safe in our homes. It's outside when we feel we have to exercise so much caution. But our homes are our safe haven. People don't normally break into homes in nice neighborhoods and murder people.

I don't know why people feel safer at home, seeing how most are killed by someone in their life, usually close to them...jmo.

I so disagree.

Thanks again, MissD for breaking things down like that. My head is spinning. Thanks for reminding me about no more photos or posts. Hmm. Just throwing this out there. If she was having any work done in her house, could she have given a key to one of these workers? When I had my kitchen remodeled both my husband and I were working and we gave a key to the contractor to get in while we were gone. Now that I think about that, it probably wasn't a smart move.

You're very welcome, Luv! You know, those alleys really do give me the creeps, and with all those workers that were in her home you know some of them were bound to have keys (at one time or another). But I have dealt with sub-contractors most of my life and never had a problem. Not one.

I have had to get a restraining order on an ex, however. And I had a stalker for ten years. I've had someone break in my house and steal all my panties. (That was a while back.) I've had an intruder break into my home i the middle of the night, but fortunately I had a gun and scared him away. I had a woman threaten to kill me on the 101 once. And she followed me when I got off at the exit and to the Home Depot parking lot and got out and followed me into the store yelling and screaming at me. That's the last time I ever flipped anyone off on the freeway. LOL

Yeah...you just never know what just might set someone off!

I'm still putting my money on #5, dark alleys, workers and all.

Oh wow you've sure have had some scary things happen. I imagine Allison was a very organized person. I hope LE was able to find the names and numbers in her house of all the peopke that did work at her house.

After Miss D posted about the alleys and the CS tape, I doodled with the alleys. And it'd not making any sense.

AF alleys.jpg Blue dots with white centers: entrance/exit to alleys, Red lines: alleys

There are none of those 5 foot utility easements that were really common in the older parts of Scottsdale: these were basically for electrical and telephone lineman to get to overhead lines, that were hung over shared property lines, from the alleys.
There are none that I can find connecting to either alley, both behind and directly across the street from AF's home. I zoomed in the shared property lines on both of those alleys. You go into either alleys and you come out of them, unless you hop a fence.

Did LE tape off the alley across the street because the security camera caught the perp leaving AF's house and going down it? "1:05 am security camera catches the perp leave".

If the perp took the alley across the street, it makes absolutely no sense.

Why take that alley across the street when it just exits on 84th place and out to Earl Drive? Perp could get on Earl just by exiting onto the alley behind AF's. No lengthy walk, no possible dogs.

Does the perp know the area well enough that he knows where the dogs are and that they're going to be quiet?

If he had a car, you'd think he'd park it nearby. 84th Place would seem like the most convenient place where that alley exits, but it's a culdesac, a strange car would draw attention.

From the clues:
I'm a murderer, I just killed someone. I have blood evidence and possible scratches on me. I have stolen property with me. I walk out the front door of my victim's house, I am on foot, I walk across the street to the alley..................WHY?

Is it because the back gate to the home I live in is on that alley? I'm staying with friends who have a back gate that is on that alley? Do I live in the neighborhood? Will my presence NOT be considered out of place if I am noticed?

From a criminal mind:
I'm a murderer, I just killed someone. I have blood evidence and possible scratches on me. I have stolen property on me. I walk out the front door of my victim's house, I am on foot, I get the heck out of that area as quickly as possible. I go straight to Earl Drive and I disappear.

Does that make sense? The whole point for the perp is to get out of the area without being seen ASAP.

Comments?

Good speculation Bernina! I always appreciate your theories and the way you put them together.

And it all makes perfect sense the way you explain them.

The only thing you left out was the darkness. The alleys are dark so that even if someone saw you they wouldn't probably be able to recognize you and there are no cars driving down the alleys at 1:00 a.m.

The street has a street light at the end of it on the other side. Much lighter and you never know when a car is going to come by.

But I can see the perp leaving either way, actually.

Are you still thinking burglar? ;)

I just had to ask.

Thanks, Bernina, you make sense. Do we know for sure that the perp had injuries? Is that what LE meant when they said they had DNA?

Actually Luv, with the blood spattering from her head wounds there is no telling how much blood got on the killer. He could have been covered in blood! Literally! He was in the house for a long time. Maybe he washed his clothes in the laundry or maybe he just changed into something else.

If not, and covered in blood, if I were thinking like a killer covered in blood....I'd take the alley for sure.

I would go where it was dark and no one could see me even if it was a little bit longer of a trek.

I'm thinking really inept criminal, jilted BF or whoever. It's all about leaving the area as quick as possible. Get in, get out. Don't take any chances being seen.

Unless the perp lives in the neighborhood.

How would you finish this scenario:

I'm a murderer, I just killed someone. I have blood evidence and possible scratches on me. I have stolen property with me. It's 1:05 am Wednesday morning. I don't want to be seen. I walk out the front door of my victim's house, I am on foot, I walk across the street to the alley............

And then look at where either of those alleys take you to.
Was her back alley CS taped off too? Gah, we have to assume the security camera next door on the front of the house was the one filming the boyfriend show up at 4:00 pm Wednesday, is the same one that caught the perp leave at 1:05 am.

Literally beating my head, need more info! :banghead:

They say he could have scratches on his hands or forearms, but they shared that a month AFTER the murder. Perp probably was already healed up, and it was February, who would have thought someone wearing a long sleeve shirt or hoodie was out of the norm?

I don't know how I'd finish it Bernina! I wish we knew if there was more than one camera involved here. That closeup shot on the video of the leaked docs did say "cameras" plural, leading me to believe more than one camera may have been involved.

I agree with the inept part totally! Let's say he did have blood all over him and he left...how far would he have to go to get to his car or wherever he lived? He would be taking a terrible risk even taking the darkest route because sooner or later he would have to come out. There are still plenty of cars around even at 1 a.m. All it takes is one.

But for such an inept criminal, jilted lover, burglar, neighbor, whatever....they are still out there. Still haven't been arrested.

I'm beating my head too!!! OUCH! :banghead:

That's right which leads me back to someone who was comfortable in her house and knew no one else would be coming over. I just can't see an intruder spending so much time in the house. Jmo

  • #596
Maybe he didn't have blood all over him, remember there was some sort of clean up/bleach type thing. Maybe he cleaned himself up at her home, another reason for the long time in her home.

Yes, I can't get that out of my mind too. Unless I knew better I would be afraid someone else was going to show up anytime.

He probably did! He probably showered there.

I'm getting terrible visuals now.

Be cuz the reward offer states significant trauma may be on the perps hands I am thinking she suffered stab wounds up close n personnel. Someone she knew.

I don't think murder was his intent when he went there. I think an argument took place and he went crazy on her. And then spent a lot of time cleaning himself and as much else as he could.
