Found Safe AZ - Blaze, 2, and Ryder, 5 mos, Kirkley, Pinal County, 16 July 2019

An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday for two children who were taken from Arizona Department of Child Safety custody around 7:30 a.m.

According to Florence police, Blaze (2 years old) and Ryder (almost 5 months old) Kirkley are possibly heading to Mississippi or Louisiana.

They are reportedly traveling in a tan 2008 Dodge pickup with Louisiana license plate number C618802.

Police said there is a probable cause for arrest on the children’s parents, Melissa Joy Gladden and Jerry Jay Kirkley.

I seriously think Amber Alerts should just be turned into “non-custodial parent” alerts and we should make a new alert for missing kids, because almost every Amber Alert I ever see is for non-custodial parent abductions.

A DCS safety monitor discovered that Gladden and her children — 2-year-old Blaze Kirkley and 5-month-old Ryder Kirkley — were missing from their residence, according to Husk.

According to the mother's cellphone location, detectives determined they were in Texas earlier this morning.

An AMBER Alert was issued for the children, on whom DCS placed a temporary custody notice, Husk said.
