Deliberations don't start until Monday???

This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. They can start now and continue tomorrow if need be. then have the weekend free. Why string it along EVEN MORE??:banghead:

Deliberations don't start until Monday #MarissaDevault"

Um.....I believe the Judge excused them into the deliberation room?

That's what I thought he said, the video cut out when he was sending them out to deliberate. I did hear him say if they had a verdict after 4:15 it would be read the next day because it would take him 45 minutes to round up the lawyers, but I heard nothing about Monday.

Deliberations don't start until Monday???

I am totally confused.....saw 2 tweets that they wouldn't start til Monday, but the Judge said otherwise in the live feed, and also said if the verdict was later than 4:15, it would have to wait to be read til the following day due to 45 minutes of rounding up all the attorneys.

This is the most ludicrous court system I've ever seen.

Judge just said they lost two jurors to date. When did that happen?

I just tweeted to ask. I'll let you know if I get an answer.

  • #829
They'll be lucky if the jurors even remember what they'll be deliberating about. Good gravy.

Well, during the trial there was the one-week vacation, then the two-week vacation. I'm amazed if they remember what trial they are on.

That's it! If they had stayed today at 3:30 to elect a foreman and begin then they would have to come back tomorrow. I think I need to move to Arizona.

Yes and one would think they would want to get it over with as quickly as possible. The jury had the option to deliberate tomorrow, but looks like they chose not to.

Apparently the earth stops on Fridays in Arizona.

Then I expect a quick verdict Monday because Tuesday is April Fools Day and surely an important holiday! :floorlaugh:

I never got an answer from the Trial Diva I tweeted but I did find this and I do remember now that at least this juror had a problem with the employer so perhaps this was not resolved. I never heard/read about the second incident and couldn't find anything about it. Oh well I guess it is all trivial in the grand scheme of things but I hate loose ends!

The judge must have not made this clear to us/me. I took it to mean that 2 jurors were released previously but the feed was hard to follow. This is the answer I got. I have no idea what the note was about but I remember that in the last of the feed.

Trial Diva Jen ™‏@TrialDivasJ·11 mins
@mystrems Only 1 juror was excused through out trial but another 1 wrote a note today to Judge & he made them an alternate

So there are 12 jurors and 3 alternates.

I am finished worrying for tonight. :seeya:
