I always had the impression that there was just a particular prosecutor he was biased about. JMO

Juries are unpredictable: monetary gain was a no-brainer, excessive cruelty only slightly less so.

This was kind of weird............the cruelty, I thought, was a no brainer.
Financial gain? I think the jurors may have been as confused as CMMD was when she initial bought the policies and didn't realize "accidental death" does NOT encompass blows with a hammer.........and they didn't get to hear about Stan's beating of CMMD, or her law suit against MCSO for aftercare of her "injuries" sustained by that beating.:facepalm:

Yeah, I thought it was the other way around as well; no doubt to the cruelty of it, I thought she even said during the police interview that she wanted him to feel pain (although at the time her explanation of that was because he raped her) so she admitted she wanted him to feel the pain of repeated hammer blows, how is that not cruel on its face?

Glad the jury came to a decision. I think a few jurors may have been over thinking the financial gain portion a little too much. If you look at the facts, financial gain was obvious. But whatever, all they needed was one, so on we go to the next phase.

I'm really tired of this trial schedule already. This is just absurd.
