I don't understand the difference between non premeditated intentional murder and premeditated intentional murder. Maybe it just depends on what the prosecutor thinks he can get.

So I take it there is no time limit on the closings in the #RichardChrisman trial? Juan is still going, like the energizer bunny.

Virgillo is a hero. Often among these police brutality stories you have the PD solidarity all the way through and they all cover for each other. He couldn't let him get away with blatant murder and animal cruelty. He has really put himself on the line. Officers can also be tough on those they see as betrayers. He has not hidden anything, his story is consistent and it matches with the forensics. Everyone who played a part in covering for Chrisman should be fired.

to me its like...

premed intentional murder is what JA done

non premed intentional murder is being in a situation argument or something and you have a gun and shoot but not for the leg/arm etc but the head. you know that 99% of the time if you shoot someone in the head they are dead

dunno if thats right or wrong but thats what it is to me

I think there's usually no time limit on closings, especially in murder trials.

That actually makes sense to me.

http://www.azleg.state.az.us/search/oop/qfullhit.asp?CiWebHitsFile=/ars/13/01101.htm&CiRestriction=premeditation

1. "Premeditation" means that the defendant acts with either the intention or the knowledge that he will kill another human being, when such intention or knowledge precedes the killing by any length of time to permit reflection. Proof of actual reflection is not required, but an act is not done with premeditation if it is the instant effect of a sudden quarrel or heat of passion.

2. "Homicide" means first degree murder, second degree murder, manslaughter or negligent homicide.

3. "Person" means a human being.

4. "Adequate provocation" means conduct or circumstances sufficient to deprive a reasonable person of self-control.

.......I know, you guys missed me! :floorlaugh:

He did very well. It really came together for me, as did the depths of the corruption in the PD and among the investigators.

Looks like they each get about 3 hours? How will they finish today and give the jury the case?

  • #976
im afraid i believe science over some dodgy bent copper. guilty guilty guilty

  • #977
YES! The forensics supports Virgillo's version completely!

  • #978
Will there be time today for the defense closing? I am beginning to wonder?

  • #979
i don't think the jury will get the case today unless the DT have a very short closing and juan either doesn't have a 'rebuttal' closing or a very short one

  • #980
whoa did Juan say 30 more minutes?!!
