Back at 3:07. lol

He has another 40 minutes? I guess the defense will get to do theirs in two parts, one this afternoon and one tomorrow morning?

Looks like they each get about 3 hours? How will they finish today and give the jury the case?

I don't think Juan took this long even in CMJA's trial!

I seriously did not know how much I missed watching Juan......notice how he even mentioned the Wayfarer's?
*I am so relieved there are no bicycles on my property...whew!*

They also, IIRC, started earlier in the day on closings day in the JA trial. That would have helped.

  • #985
I guess the judge told both to use whatever time they needed. Now that's naive. lol

Yes, that's right, they started earlier but still finished before 4:00, I figured this judge would have been strict with the time given he doesn't seem to care for any theatrics.

I thought they only had about 2 hrs in that trial.

I don't think the defense in this trial can talk for 3 hrs.

I thought they had 3 1/2 hours each with with CMJA + Juan's final closing? Like a day and 1/2......?

If he does talk for 3 hours it'll be as ear-numbing as listening for Nurmi that long. I think JSS gave them each 3 hours, JM did about 2 1/4 first and then the 45 minutes (if I recall correctly), Nurmi did about 2 hrs and 45 minutes, seems like (in thinking back of how it felt. Well, it felt like forever, but you know. lol)

No he does not! lol

But I wouldn't expect such a strict time limit as, say, the Andrea Sneiderman trial because this is a murder trial and each side needs fully adequate time to thoroughly make their case and make it clearly. Sneiderman's was just a perjury and obstruction trial so it wasn't as important that they have as much time as needed.

This seems like a pretty standard closing time frame. They are usually long.

I think that is right now that you say that. Why isn't the judge keeping track of the time?

I am soooo glad Juan's a prosecutor, can you imagine him as a defense attorney?
