Maybe you are right. It's just frustrating. I don't know the exact deal with the difference between prejudicial evidence and prior bad acts evidence, but it seems like this isn't just one of those prejudicial, making the guy look bad kind of things. He was caught on tape doing it and that goes to the type of person that Chrisman really was: unethical and perhaps racist.
IDK...It seems in some cases these kinds of things are let in to get us a clearer picture of a person, like the theft in the Casey Anthony trial. It seems like this one toes that fine line but I find it quite relevant.
Yeah, that info would come in if one of us civilians were on trial, but not for a cop. lol
I really don't know how appeals courts have ruled in the past, I hope that's the reason the judge is being conservative, but I have my doubts as well.
