Maybe you are right. It's just frustrating. I don't know the exact deal with the difference between prejudicial evidence and prior bad acts evidence, but it seems like this isn't just one of those prejudicial, making the guy look bad kind of things. He was caught on tape doing it and that goes to the type of person that Chrisman really was: unethical and perhaps racist.

IDK...It seems in some cases these kinds of things are let in to get us a clearer picture of a person, like the theft in the Casey Anthony trial. It seems like this one toes that fine line but I find it quite relevant.

Yeah, that info would come in if one of us civilians were on trial, but not for a cop. lol

I really don't know how appeals courts have ruled in the past, I hope that's the reason the judge is being conservative, but I have my doubts as well.

I don't think that is it,someone tweeted 2 rebuttal witnesses couldn't testify this am. so I'm assuming they are able to at 1.30

Juan may come off as "rude" due to the way his mind works when he's at trial--he works alone, he has all the case info in his head, usually has no notes--he seems more preoccupied and "in the game" to me. It's also a quality my husband has (he's an engineer)--I have to remind him to act human sometimes if he is super busy on a project!:floorlaugh:

Nurmi deliberately LIED IN COURT as he fabricated Travis' alleged pedophilia. He knew that was garbage. He knew that Jodi was never abused. Being less than social with opposing counsel pales in comparison to a lawyer who knowingly lies for his client. JMO

You're so right on everything. I can see that Juan is someone who's mind works very quickly and sometimes his mouth cannot keep up, you know? You can definitely see that in his closing arguments. He keeps all his info stuffed in his head.

It is my opinion based on things that were said in certain testimony that Nurmi encouraged Jodi to change her story and fabricate a better lie (and sex is his forte. She gave him something he felt he could work with).

So, yep, it is better to be a little aggressive and shouty sometimes than handle yourself and your case in an unethical manner. There is nothing that Juan has done that the defense has brought up that shows Juan behaving unethically. So everyone is just going to have to deal with his tone.

This is a silly argument anyway. Who cares what the prosecutor's tone is like? Focus on the evidence.

It sounded a lot like testimony would be over today no matter if JM's witnesses could be there or not, I understand keeping things on schedule but if any of his rebuttal witnesses are cops, I think they should be compelled to be there.

GUILTY. The fact that Chrisman's partner was there on the call & he thought Chrisman's actions of killing the dog and putting the gun to the victim's temple were WAY out of line will convince the jury that Chrisman was the aggressor in that situation. JMO!

P.S. I can't believe he shot the dog in the BACK!!!! The dog was trying to get away!

Does anyone know if Chrisman's blood was taken & tested for drugs that day?

IIRC, his blood was taken that day and tested. Don't know if it was tested for anabolic steroids though.

I don't know, it is hard to tell when wild speaks if they are speaking for themselves or everyone.

I seriously doubt if it will be streamed today. There is maybe 1 more witness and that is all. No court tomorrow. Maybe Monday for Closing, just have to wait and see.
