I think Juan's whole point with not calling his own drug witness or whatever you call it, is 'cause #1. he didn't want to draw extra attention to it, #2. he doesn't think it makes a difference to the case b/c it is pretty obvious that Chrisman was the aggressor the entire time and Danny was not the aggressor. If he had called his own witness, that would give the impression that he thought it was important to the case. I think he really tried to just focus on the forensic evidence and Vergillo's testimony so that the jury would see that Chrisman was being aggressive from the start.

Exactly! Going down that road would have just put DR on trial. And dispatch for 911 didn't have any info on drugs or alcohol, DR's mom was at the neighbors, there where no weapons, so any type of domestic problem had been brought down to a level of just talking with DR. He wasn't threatening suicide, wasn't waving a gun, no one was in the house he could hurt or use as a hostage...it was a relatively "safe" call to go to. Chrisman escalated the incident from the time he initially got rude with DR's mom and it continued and snowballed. If he had an issue understanding DR's mom, which I think is total BS, he should have had Vergillo talk to her, or Chrisman shouldn't have been on patrol in an area where it required an officer to be bi-lingual.
Dr's mom made perfect sense to me, for the most part, some of the convo on the 911 tape was muffled but that's the quality of those tapes.

That's a heck of a long time to still be high,I've obviously never taken Meth but I can't see a hit lasting that long.
Sent from my 'alternate reality' using my hippocampus
I am here reading and waiting. I have been making cushion covers for my dil this morning. I am done now.
I still think it will be tomorrow. The jury can't come back too quick or it will look like they had already made their minds up. jmo
I do hope I am wrong!

Yes, I don't know who testified but there was testimony that the level in Daniel's system would be considered a therapeutic level if it were Adderal or another similar medication. Not sure how (or who) arrived at the 16 hours using meth before death but that was in testimony also. I'm watering the beds now (cursed lack of rain here) but will look back over the threads and see if I can find who testified to the meth level and all that.
Holy cow, they just got there?
