per NG, EJ lawyered up soon after she was arrested

I was just reading a post elsewhere where the poster was questioning where the $$ for the trip, the lawyer, etc. were coming from.

I think TFPS is full of BS. NO one would do that. No one normal anyway. Weird. I think TFPS knows where the baby is - maybe she went to TX and met EJ there and picked up Gabe and took him home or to one of her relatives.

What gets me is why NO ONE has come forward to say they have the baby. Its one thing to be part of an "adoption", its another to aid, abet and take part in custodial interference and/or kidnapping. A nice, family couple that would keep a baby would recognize that with the police involved, something was not on the up and up and would contact the police to say they had the baby.

So, in my opinion, either TFPS has the baby somewhere or EJ has done the unthinkable :(

Salem

ITA, if this baby is alive, TFPS has him.

See, this will teach me to go do other things.

They found the car at 7 p.m. outside a Motel 6 in San Antonio, no Gabe. Car is not even her, is grandpas.
EJ is willing to talk to the press now, says she only said that Gabe was dead to get back at Logan for ruining her life.
Now says she left Gabriel with a couple (female named Cheryl) at a campground. Doesn't know them but they seemed nice...

Am I all caught up?

(Sorry, I get my own midnight phone calls and I had to go. Trying desperately to catch up.)

I think that is the gist of it ....

Just a thought....couldn't they arrest TPS on charges regarding "buying" a baby?
have they looked into her "adoption" of her step daughter's child??? I think getting some charges on TPS might loosen her up a bit...get her talking some truth??

(and yes...NOTE to Self....IF I am in Arizona again and get a hankering for a High Colonic Enema, don't book an appointment with TPS's Colonic Service LOL LOL)

Personally, after hearing this new story, there seems to be some massive amounts of used "healing water" flying around.

Based on Elizabeth's initial meeting with TPS your 'twist' would seem like a plausible explanantion to her.

Per TPS
"I looked at that situation and said, 'She doesn't want that baby,'" Smith said, before walking over to Johnson and asking her if she was looking for someone to adopt her child.

Gee, that's the first thing I'd think to say if I met a tired young mom at the airport. I feel just like my kitty with the Rubik's cube.

[bbm]

who does that? no one! unless they're part of an underground network that steals babies! IMO

Smith also she and her husband had temporary guardianship of the boy in late November and early December for about 10 to 12 days while the couple was deciding what to do.

A Tempe detective was at the Smith home when they took in Gabriel and saw paperwork on the matter, though spokesman Sgt. Steve Carbajal said it's unclear if there the documents had any authority since they weren't court-issued.

this is news to me ....

Yeah, I agree, that's actually kind of creepy, Do you want your baby? If not, can I have him? And didn't Tammi Smith have two different stories about this? In her facebook and myspace comments she just seems a little too gun ho to get any babies. I don't know, it also just has some aura of self-righteousness mixed with some weird obsession?

If the meeting between TPS and Elizabeth really happened that way, I would expect TPS's face to be a little more asymmetrical.
I say this, because no matter how tired or stressed or just plain fed up I am with my kids, if a random person walks up to me and asks if I am looking for someone to take my child, I am going to haul back and swing from my toes. And I suspect some others would do the same. Not to mention, you can't tell who doesn't want their child unless they are harming or verbally abusing that child. And then you don't sign papers, you call the police.
Something stinks, and not the water.

I read that somewhere, but it doesn't really make sense to me. Why would a detective be there anyway? Maybe the Smith's hired one to make it look more legal. I really don't believe the father ever expressed an interest in adopting out the child.... so I guess that says I think Tammi/Smiths are lying about that.

From her fb the woman was baby shopping in Dec of 08...she was looking for a baby! I don't doubt for a second that she approached EJ in the Airport, she probably commented on the baby and mentioned ever so casually that she and hubby were hoping to adopt. Probably mentioned that they were adopting step daughters little girl H. and how they wanted a playmate for her. EJ probably didn't jump at the opportunity but mentioned that she and Logan had considered adoption and from there the friendship and grooming began. jmo

perfect word for it
I'm leaning toward that hypothesis too

HLN reporting that there were no signs of violence in the vehicle.

I was hoping to come by this morning and see FOUND SAFEin front of the title....
Now, if TPS has this baby, I really do not believe she wold be dumb enough to hide that baby in san antonio or near her home, she knows thats the first place the police would look based on EJ being last seen in SA with Gabe. I do believe she knows who has him, though. As someone who has a hard time conceiving (trying for almost 2 yrs, now) I know how it feels to want a baby badly, however, I dont just walk up to women and ask "hey, can i have your kid?!" WTH???
BTW- If she approached me asking if i wanted to give my child up just bc i was having a bad day (which all moms do, most just dont give their babies to strangers) she's prob been spitting out teeth!

BBM!

AMEN.
I have a son that will be three in march and let me tell you some days I just want to pull every strand of hair out of my hair and some times it takes everything in me not to put him to bed early just because I can't deal any longer.(imagine giving a three year old three pounds of sugar and a gallon of expresso and thats that I deal with DAILY) But if someone offered me a million dollars for him I would have to refuse, I will also be the first to say that I wouldn't pay a nickle for another one just like him though. lol I don't see how someone could just hand their child over to a couple at a campground without knowing a damn thing about them. It just doesn't even sound like a logical lie, much less a plausible one.

HMMM. I just went to the Tornado Bus Company website and this is what it says
"Con nosotros usted puede viajar a cualquier punto en México, desde los Estados Unidos; ya que, contamos con el mejor sistema de conexiones con las principales empresas de transporte en México."

Which according to google translator it translates to....

"With us you can travel anywhere in Mexico from the United States because we have the best system of connections to major transportation companies in Mexico."

BBM.
I wonder if the car was parked in the hotel lot across the street from this company simply to make people think that she had actually left the United States like she told Logan she was doing.
