IMO the FBI -- don't they have jurisdiction in this case? -- anyway IMO the FBI does not necessarily need the laptop for what EJ was up to--
For Craigslist for instance, one needs to have both an email account and a craigslist account-- yeah, I suppose EJ could have created a new account for both once in SA, but IMO she did not demonstrate that kind of internet savy
She updated her MS page from Florida ! Um that's a silly move --
I think the FBI have means to trace any interactions on Craigslist if that is the way she did it
IMO SA was prearranged from some cash for expenses provided, GPS, hotel(s),to the couple arriving to pick up Gabe

There was a report of EJ using a computer at the hotel and I am sure they have taken care of that angle as well - all above IMO

ITA. The FBI/LE Tempe/LE San Antonio already know this, imo. They also know more than they are telling us (the public). They (FBI/LE) know her fake ID, they know her internet use, they know her hotel(s), they KNOW.

I'm holding on for a live Gabriel, but I'm losing hope as each day passes. Lord give me strength for Logan and Gabriel. I so want to believe he's alive.

As someone who has been in the adoption world for years and who researches agency's, adoption professionals, scammers and yes, potential adoptive parents.
I have seen my share of what we call PAP's who submit false homestudy's because they were able to find the forms on line, and for the most part they would get caught if a smart adoption professional checked with the social worker who supposedly did the h/s.

I can picture EJ meeting up with a couple and them walking away with the baby. BUT, she had to have been introduced to them in some way shape or form. She had to have found out about TX and their laws.

What puzzles me is her need for new identity, was it so she had something that would match a new birth certificate for GJ? She was literally wanting this little guy to disappear out of spite??? or, was it an unethical adoption professional who heard her story and said oh we can help with that, this is what we can do for you, because in your case the law might not be enough to protect your son.

Last night I was thinking,,where would an adoption professional get a birth certificate? When you do private adoptions today, mom fills out the BC at the Hosp. she puts down a name and fills in all the info. when there is a final adoption, then the first BC get filed and sealed in court records and then there is an amended one that has the adoptive parents name on it (even though I am a mom through adoption, I do not like this process, I see it as false documentation),,,,,,,,,,in private adoption, it is easy for the new family, and that adoption professional to get a copy of it. We have a copy of our daughters, but it is for them, not us. And their parents gave it to us.

What do you think?

That statement has always been odd to me...they are both self employed with very good income, (have seen their huge new house with acreage on her FB profile), why would they need to "beg" for things like a carseat and bottle? Seems to me they would buy their "new addition" (her words) all new stuff.

I thought it would have happened by now, but I am trusting LE in this case and going to say they will wait until they have found Gabe before they arrest the Smith's!
Unless this continues to drag on and the tammijack stamp continues to be found on every link to this case, and LE feels they have enough links with the tammijack stamp to arrest them, finally "body talking" them enough to give up the missing links needed to get Gabe back

If a child is born at home in Texas and not in a hospital, is there a time frame within which the birth mother must apply for a birth certificate? What is the procedure for doing so?

Tempe police said Johnson sent McQueary the threatening messages about their son before Dec. 26.

However, on Dec. 27, Johnson called and text messaged McQueary again and told him that she had killed the child, according to the court document and police

Do we have any idea what these prior threatening messages were? I know that we have read that EJ had threatened to do harm to Gabriel before. I wonder if that's was the other messages (or texts) were as well..and if so exactly what was said? LE won't release that information yet I don't imagine. I also wish we knew how far back in baby Gabriel's life these threats started.

If EJ's story is true, I sure hope Gabriel wasnt adopted in a 'sex ring'. Plenty of perverts out there who would pay good money for a little boy. If her story is true, she let that little boy leave her possession in the care of people she knew absolutely nothing about-probably not even their real names.

And if they were going to adopt Gabriel,. why would she NOT let them hold the baby in her presence? Makes no sense. That and the two different versions..park vs hotel room- disturbs me.

About Craig's list. I'm sure they can get isp and all, but as far as an account being needed, my town doesn't need one unless you are posting in certain areas on the site like services, employment, I think, and the exotic section from what I've read. You can posts under for sale/wanted, local, etc..without an account. Unless they changed it within the past few weeks?

It would depend on the town, and what area on CL any ad would need an account. Each city/country is a little different even with catagories that I've seen.
