I thought his comment that "they, the person who took Isabel, did an adequate job..." of covering the trail (this is paraphrased) was very interesting.
At first when he spoke, I thought LE had come to a conclusion that Isa is deceased, but that they have to be sure, and they have to develop all the evidence to move forward to take further action.
But then he made the comment: "There is no reason to think she is not alive." That gives me some hope. Because if a cadaver dog hit on decomposition in the house, that would be a reason to think she might not be alive. So I am going to choose to believe that's not what the evidence shows.
Of course, he could be saying whatever he wants so as to keep the perp(s) off guard about what they know or suspect.
This is maddening.
