Also wanted to add, from hearing Sergio and Rebecca talk, they make it sound like they have a huge family, who said that Isa only has 1 or 2 uncles. If Sergio's parents live down the road as it has been stated, who is to say that the uncle wasn't a brother of Sergio (other than JM) who might be living with Sergio's parents.

Why is it everyone is so obsessed with JM over the other family members, how can any of you get a feeling about him when he has only said a few things on camera? Please tell me if it was uncovered that he has been arrested, convicted, suspected of being a child predator or a predator for that matter.

I don't know that it is so much that people are 'obsessed' as much as the fact that he has raised some red flags with people, then NG said LE was 'scrutinizing' a relative (don't remember if they said 'Uncle') and posted the exact same arrest records that JM has. There are other things I don't remember right now. However, some posters find the parents suspicious and they do not have anything in their past to indicate that they would be involved either. Different posters have different 'feelings' about everyone involved.

Wow. Excellent, excellent find. I have never seen that one before. In that one, it is reported that he came to the scene the moment he heard what had happened, which indicates he was NOT staying at the house or living there.

One thing that was confusing regarding the floor plan and videos I have seen of the exterior of the house is the focus on the two windows in the rear that now appear to be the master bedroom. I would like to know which room Isabel was allegedly abducted from and where that window is.

This is suppose to be Isa's bedroom. Only full size window on the side of the house. This is the side that faces the neighbor who heard the male voices, saw the window open etc.

I don't think anyone saying that it is JM for sure, I think that is the question some are trying to figure out. Does it matter? Maybe, maybe not. I think anyone close to the family needs to be investigated and the neighbor stated this person knocked on her door according to HER clock before the 911 call could have occurred when she was interviewed on NG. I think that's enough to raise suspicion about who it was and therefore should be investigated. IMO

First, I have no real opinion on these parents... except that I don't think they are guilty.

However, this literally made me go :thud: for two reasons.

1. Of course the Florida deja vu moment of the bolded part. Ouch.

2. I am about as private and unemotional as it gets. I didn't have a baby shower. I refuse to have a wedding.
I didn't cry when my kids were born, or had heart surgery. I don't cry when people die, I don't cry at funerals. I simply don't cry.

However, when my daughter went missing for 30 minutes, after I found her... I was hysterical. I cried in front of my mother.
I cannot STAND my mother. It is the first time I've cried in front of her since I fell off my bike when I was 6. Seriously.

Oh... and I'm also in the situation of being the strong one in the relationship. The man cries at everything. I have to be the strong one.

I am having some Billie Jean deja vu now. Becky is reminding me a lot of myself... yet that certainly isn't how I would react either.
Just my thoughts. I hope I never have to be in that situation to find out for sure. :twocents:

Here is a clip of the interview, the same interview where he stated that he came to the hood as soon as he heard. This report is from late in the day Saturday the day Isa went missing.

So we have 3 different local inteviews of JM noted now.
1. He's somewhere in the residential part of the neighborhood in video linked above and here. This is where he stated that he came as soon as he heard and thought it was a dream (we don't know what time that was).

2. He's at the command center in the parking lot next door, in the afternoon.

This is where he states

3. He's somewhere at dusk, 7 pm per reporter from KGUN. This is where he states:

"Just a sweet little girl..all the ambition in the world...didn't really like strangers or anything like that..." He also talks about handing out fliers a bit later.

KGUN is an ABC affiliate, and even though the video at the link below does not show JM stating the same things he did in the ABC and CBS clips for national news, the story transcript with the video includes that quote. I am guessing that KGUN is the source for the ABC and CBS national news clips.

There's a long list of reasons why he's on many people's radar here and has been from very early on. The reasons have been repeated often. The suspicions have a basis in fact, even if those facts don't include priors for certain offenses.

I do find it so funny that people believe the bits and pieces they want to believe from NG and JVM.

What exactly did I miss, not being around, I have read a few pages now on this thread and seen it stated that JM was the one knocking on the neighbors door, I have seen it said that JM must be a predator, Also that he had to have been over there for the ballgame or because it was a busy night in the Celis house on Friday night. What did I miss, how do we know any of the above to even be remotely close to the truth?

I did not see where anyone said JM must be a predator but could have missed it.
As far as NG, it was just odd that she posted his arrest records-can't remember if she named him-at the same time he was raising red flags here.

FWIW, I have lost all faith in what either show says now, in light of all of the misinformation both shows are putting out. I never watched either show much until I began following this case.

Yes, I understand,. But you can't rely on the written transcripts that accompany these videos to access quotes or comments contained therein. The print version is a micro-version of the video. That's why I've been sending the actual links to the videos.

I have seen all those interviews before. Nothing jumped out at me then and nothing jumps out at me now. Actually I am watching ID Discovery and one case of a missing girl that was on earlier, the father said the exact same thing. I think it is a perfectly normal thing to say. It is a nightmare, an awful thing, and I am sure they all wish they were dreaming. I just don't know anymore. But, I am not really suspicious of JM. That is not to say I dont thnk it could be a neighbor or friend. jmo

At minute 1:04 of the interview he states: "I wasn't sure if I was dreaming or what happened cause' you don't think anything like that would actually really happen to you."

I have seen no obsession. What should we talk about? I have no idea what happened except it is more likely, IMO, that someone watching the home, the family and Isabel or someone who knew the home and family, took her.

Again, JM is interesting to discuss because he talked about Isa in the past tense 24 hours after she went missing (or maybe even the same day, it looks like), and he is the only new thing in her life in the year before she went missing, that we know about.

Plus, thanks to Lark2's hard work, it appears he spoke more to the media thus far than the parents have. Naturally, we are going to examine him.

1 and 9 were asked and answered yesterday in the parents' interview.
Just the immediate family were there, and no party.

As far as her DUI in 2003, it looks to me like she took advantage of diversion.

Thank you. I missed those! But, the DUI is not a misdemeanor and neither would the child endangerment/abuse charge be. She would not qualify for a first time misdemeanor diversion program for those and I saw no evidence in the court record that she underwent diversion. (My guess is not enough evidence).

How do you know they are from the same "interview?" He says different things in each.

Every crew in town had a camera and reporter down there that day. It is possible that multiple stations filmed him at once, but the more likely scenario is that each team pulled him aside for their own quotes with their own reporters asking their own questions.

That is why, once again, I am asking people here to look for and post as many links as possible that have him in a video so that we can see the different things he says. He may have said diffeerent tyhings to different news crews. Everything in these 3 videos I posted contains different info.

I am no better researcher than anyone else, BTW. The stuff's out there if anyone wants to find it.

Okay, so in all four interviews you posted (you rock!!!!), JM is wearing the same shirt, chain, cap and sunglasses.

1. The KGUN9 interview begins at minute 1:43 and the narration states: 7:00 p.m. and still no sign of Isabel Mercedes Celis, who her uncle describes as shy and not the type to wander off:"Just a sweet little girl, 6 years old, you know, all the ambition in the world, she could do whatever she wanted, uh, didn't really like strangers or anything like that, so very close knitted and just, very wise."

2. The Yahoo interview begins at min. 1:46: "All of sudden you wake up one morning and you're in the scenario. Everything goes through your mind. You're angry, you're upset, you're frustrated, confused."

3. The CBS News interview. Same shot as the Yahoo one. Beings at min. 1:44: Her uncle says the girl's parents are distraught: "Everything goes through your mind. You're angry, you're upset, you're frustrated, confused."

4. The KVOA interview, beings at min. 1:04: "I wasn't sure if I was dreaming or what happened cause' you don't think anything like that would actually really happen to you."

So, to me, based on lighting and background, we have three separate statements, all on the same day, which looks to be the Saturday she was reported missing.

To me it looks like he was very active and not at all shy of the media that first day she disappeared. We have heard nothing from him since. I don't know what that means or if it is relevant.

Again, Lark2, thank you so much! I really tried on several days to find all his interviews and could only find an ABC one I posted several times. This answers a very important question - whether or not he was there the night before or lived with the Celis family. based on the narration, the answer is NO!!!
