BBM

But this is not a car they drove to games or anywhere -- the car does not run. So why were there pillows, etc. in the car? Maybe left in there from when it did run?? Still seems strange that the police thought there might be some kind of evidence on these items.

Sergio was in the doghouse one night?

Really, who knows? Maybe the kids were allowed to play in the car? LE obviously noticed the items and took them for a good reason.

Jumping off your post Carole, not directing my comments to you :seeya:

I believe it was reported that the car was searched later than the house and required its own search warrant.

Same applies

I believe that LE extended the second search warrant, of which, included the vehicle. There were only 2 search warrants.

the only logic in the landfill search was that it was done early because the day Isabel was reported missing was the same day that business dumpsters are emptied. Landfill searches are horrendous weeks after an event, not real great days after an event but at least you don't have to dig down low to get the rubbish. Moo

It's so horrible, isn't it, that a child (or adult) goes missing and one of the first places that needs to be searched is a landfill. So many people in the last few years have been found in one.

Where are you Isabel??? We all want you found!!!

That's true, but do we know he isn't her uncle. Has that been proven? tia

He could be an uncle by marriage, married to a sister or aunt of one of the parents. He is not an uncle by blood, IMO... he does not look like he has one ounce of hispanic blood. So my conclusion is that he is not related by blood. Unless someone married an Irishman and he is a throwback. I guess he could have been adopted.
As far as I've seen the media is the only ones identifying him as an uncle. If he says that he is the uncle, I must have missed that part.

How is someone with three DUIs in 2011 driving, anyway? I can't imagine the license hasn't been revoked. ????

How do you know he is driving? Did they show him driving a car?

He does mention in a picture caption with the children he is enjoying being uncle. Also friends of his have Isa's missing picture and have said she is the neice of their friend. All other I have seen is by the media. So,I don't know. We really don't know much about any of the extended family. jmo

I snipped :)
I have seen many hispanics fairer than him.

He actually called himself an Uncle.

I've posted about the initial 3 mile ground search and thought I'd post a link to Tucson PD's news release dated April 21.

http://www.scribd.com/fullscreen/90602675

snipped:

The initial responding officers quickly cordoned off the area and conducted another search of the residence as well. As it was evident that Isabel was not in the residence, additional resources were summoned to assist with the investigation of her disappearance and attempts to locate her. The Tucson Police Department called upon the Federal Bureau of Investigation who responded to the area with both Investigative Agent personnel and an Evidence Recovery Team. Additionally, the Tucson Police Department asked for and received assistance from the United States Marshall’s Office, who provided a contingent of personnel who participated extensively in the neighborhood search activities. Also, canine handlers with their canine partners, specifically bloodhounds, from the Arizona Department of Corrections were requested and responded to assist.
Search and Rescue personnel from the Pima County Sheriff’s Departmentand the multi-agency Rapid Response Team responded at the request of the Tucson Police Department. The Tucson Fire Department assisted with some equipment and personnel needs. The Tucson Police Department also utilized numerous field patrol resources, the Tucson Police Department Air Unit,
various investigative resources (SexOffender Tracking and Registration – SORT – Unit, Dependent Child Unit, Child Sexual Assault Unit, InternetCrimes Against Children Unit, and Aggravated Assault Unit), as well as
analyst support in order to further the investigation. All potential avenues of investigation have been vigorously explored throughout the day and evening onApril 21, 2012. Search efforts will continue through the evening of April 21, 2012 and into April 22, 2012 as needed. The Tucson Police Department is committed to the mission of finding Isabel and ensuring her safety, utilizing any and all resources that are available."

Her surgery went well. She had a large hematoma on the flap of the inside of her ear. Four large puncture wounds that are stitched on the outside of the ear as the inside remains open. I have to pour peroxide down the ear three times and then apply antibiotic ointment to the open wounds.

In the picture, it is the ear on the right!

What a cutie! I hope her recovery is smooth and quick! :)

Yea, I think we must be on different pages. LE has continuously said they can't speak about their searches because of the 'sensitive nature' of the search. I take that to mean LE can't say they hauled in John Doe for questioning because he's a known predator and has an iffy alibi for that night. Even creepy John Doe has constitutional rights under the law.

Why do you think LE is mainly following up on bloggers? They just said today that a large amount of false leads are speculations based on rumors from social media.

No their comment about "sensitive nature" was in reference to the investigation not the searches. Your example has to do with investigating and not searching. John Doe won't be in a dumpster or a landfill....that's what I meant if you read my post. BTW.....I think their questioning initiated with the inside (immediate family) and then to extended family. I don't think we've gotten to John Doe yet. They're still focused on the family, imo.

I think Isabel is alive and LE has a very good idea who took her but doesn't know where yet.

She has been gone 15 days now. LE set up a search perimeter of 3 miles yet has not searched. They have not gone door to door (have they?). They have not organized a search team (that I know of). Why? Why only 3 miles?

Praying for Isa to come home safely.

My understanding is they did go door to door because I recall them saying some neighbours weren't home. Not sure if these neighbours were ever contacted or not. Also, they apparently checked out the 15 registered sex offenders.

I have seen many hispanics fairer than him.

He actually called himself an Uncle.

It's not so much his skin color, it's the features. He just looks like a typical redneck to me... light reddish blonde hair and light eyes, maybe green or blue, but not brown or black. I cannot see one thing about him that resembles either one of Isa's parents. Becky's brother who was interviewed on JVM looked remarkably like her, same features, same shape of eyes... very handsome, IMO, as is Becky's father. This "uncle" is NOT blood related to either one of them. He may be related by marriage, but not blood.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I thought they were searching bodies of water? Or did you have something else in mind? (No rudeness intended.)
