I fail to fathom why after 22 days CPS decided to assist the family. Or decided to announce they were "stepping up" their involvement that we may not have even known about. Very, very odd.

Is BAU still in town? This seems very calculated. Like a precision strike...

I think it's called smoking them out...turning the screws...

Yeah... that's what I meant by precision strike. :-)

..."police have received information regarding the welfare of the other Celis children. The information obtained was shared with CPS for consideration relating to the investigation." http://www.kgun9.com/news/local/151198035.html

Could be as innocuous as social media bantering or a kid caught with weed at school. I still find it very interesting that this announcement was made, AND the weird banner on KOLD.com. The latter I can almost chalk up to our rather hit-and-miss news reporting, but "breaking news" ?!?

In the course of the continuing investigation into the disappearance of six year-old Isabel Celis, the Tucson Police Department has been in contact with Child Protective Services (CPS). Recently, detectives became aware of information regarding the welfare of the older Celis children. http://www.kvoa.com/full-coverage/finding-isabel/

Wonder what the detectives RECENTLY became aware of?

I'm going to be checking KGUN's FB page. Don't think the Star has comments open on that article. Besides, it seems like the same three nutcases are the only ones ever to comment on the Star. ;-)

CPS is 'working closely with LE'...
I am hoping there's a reason LE doing what they have been/are for a reason. Releasing personal info on the family that apparently has nothing to do with the case to keep the public up-to-date on the case? Is that supposed to make sense?
I don't know if they are trying to throw suspicion on the family but my suspicions are with LE and I really, really hate to feel that way.

Have you guys ever seen anything like this in a missing child case?

Only going on etherial, unfounded, unexplainable instinct ~ I don't see the parents' involvement.

So I am wondering if some abuse or hinkyness may have come to light, since Isa's disappearance, by some other family member or friend. Maybe the boys have shared some concerns they had not revealed before this time. Could CPS have been called in for this type of situation?

Just trying to look at this from all perspectives. But must admit this is not the road that I feel LE is leading me down.

Makes more sense than my last post!

OMG... no news in weeks. Tonight we have incredibly oddly presented news in dribs and drabs. I am SOOoooo waiting for a return text message right now.

The ONLY time I have ever seen CPS do this,it is because one parent is deemed to be unsafe for the child/children to be around. Usual stuff is drugs,alcohol,violence...It is a VERY serious thing...MOO

I guess these are the "certain measures" that have been instituted?
