Don't love bureau-speak @Shelby2?!?

From your link
"Tucson Police Lt. Fabian Pacheco said that CPS has placed the children with one of the parents as a safety measure. He would not say which parent has the children."

Whaaat? And what's with these updates every 10 minutes??

At the very beginning of this case, I thought that the comment by LE that "this was not considered to be a custodial (issue) because both parents lived in the home" had me asking :what: From the get-go, something has not been right with this "missing child" scenario. :moo:

The ONLY time I have ever seen CPS do this,it is because one parent is deemed to be unsafe for the child/children to be around. Usual stuff is drugs,alcohol,violence...It is a VERY serious thing...MOO

I agree-very serious-
I actually am starting to feel sick

Your right, I remember the confusion at the beginning as to whether or not the parents were together.

Yes... BDE, oh yes...

Could one of the parents be suicidal? :(

Wholly Chit! Well, folks, buckle up. Looks like LE is finally gonna lay down their hand.

Let's hope they find Isa now.

I keep thinking about Becky's statement: bring it on, we can take it

And Sergio's: we will ride this out

I guess we'll see soon how well and long they stand together given this development. I feel for these boys.

As my BDE signature suggests, "Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy night."

I'm not the least surprised with these developments ;)

This may be way off base, but it could simply be the fact that they kept the boys out of school for several weeks, and CPS wants them back in school for the last few weeks.

That's a thought, but it seems that the school board would have some sort of leniency for attendance under such circumstances.

And anyway, didn't Sergio say they were moving on, getting back to normal? Weren't the boys already back in school?

I guess these are the "certain measures" that have been instituted?

It is called a "safety plan " Usually put in place when kids are deemed to be in a situation which puts them in jeapordy.IMO it has nothing to do with custody. It is because one of the parents has been engaging in some type of behaviour which causes the children to be at risk...It could be that one of the parents has been self - medicating with drugs or alcohol..MOO.

Or that one of the parents has threatened to harm the kids physically MOO

Given the fact that both parents have some history of drug/alcohol problems, vis a vis their DUIs, I am # speculating # that the high level of stress they are under has caused one of them to revert to self medicating...It is JMO..

Cluciano63, I do not remember CPS and any involvement with the two Irwin boys... MOO

I know CPS removed Hailey Dunn's older brother from Billie and Shawn's home

Wow...I took a little nap...maybe if I doze off again we will learn which parent and why...this sounds pretty serious to me...my guess is Mom has them, that is just my feeling...

Am thinking now that Becky had no idea how bad this was.....but she knew something.....IMO

What in the world is this about now? Has there ever been any reports of mom and dad having marriage problems. Did the police kick one of the parents out of the house, I mean how else would this work, they told one of the parents they cant stay there anymore??

Yes, but not publicly. Can't say much more I'm afraid.

Concerining the new development; IMHO, either:

One of the parents is now a POI (my take; the father)
LE have found that one parents have some unresolved problem with criminal people.(my take; the father)
