I wouldn't feel quite as worried about this if not for LE practically having to beg them to speak out that first week or so...JMO

I'm guessing it would still be to early for DNA evidence to come back from the lab?

I wonder if maybe one of the boys had spoken up to mom about something which caused the mom to call the police. If this was the case, she would be too scared to confront Sergio so the police had it arranged to do it at the police station with CPS.

If one of the parents had a breakdown, even threatened suicide, why would CPS issue a "no contact" order? I can see the parent being involuntarily committed, but then they would be in a hospital and the boys could at least talk on the phone, text or write to their parent once they were stable. No contact means just that, NO CONTACT. I wouldn't think a court would issue that kind of order unless there was a clear and present danger to the boys.

I agree. I think it would take more than just a threat of him killing himself.I think many parents would make a passing threat like that. My friend, whose 5 yr old was dying, would sometimes say calmly, how tempting it was to see that morphine drip. And she contemplated putting she and her terminally ill child ' to sleep.' But she was never visited by CPS,but that might be because everyone understood how she felt.

But I think it would take a more violent threat, like he was going to take the whole family with him, before a no contact order would be given. JMO

Just jumping off you... :-)

Has anyone seen this No Contact reported by any source *except* KVOA? I may be blind, but I'm not seeing it. And that could make a world of difference.

Are they the HLN of Tucson?
[sorry]

I think that is very logical thinking.

Things this traumatic are very hard on couples........even those who love each other very much. The stress has to be unbelievable and like I commented earlier I think Sergio is the more emotional of the two and maybe not as strong as Becky.

IMO

I was floored when I saw Sergio sing Ave Maria, he comes across to me as a very caring and passionate man, Becky on the other hand seems very cold and distant but I misjudge people all the time and get screwed over and walked over and spit on for it so dont put any stock in my ability to be cynical and jaded. I tend to think the best of people even though humanity constantly lets me down, I am not one to learn from mistakes I guess! =)

I have to disagree with you, friend. CPS placed the children with one parent and issued a no contact requirement in connection with the other parent. That is very, very serious. Essentially it means the children have been taken into state protective custody but physically released to a "safe" parent.

Not good when it comes to a parent's involvement in Isabel's disappearance. Not good at all.

Thank you gitana! Tho I am none too thrilled to see my concerns be validated by you but nonetheless I was hoping you'd soon pop in to weigh in.. before I had to set off in search for you.. gitana is one of our verified lawyers with her specialty being family law for any newbies who may not know.. her, PAXIMUS, and AnaTeresa(and yes Ana I know youre still a student)but nonetheless all of you help us laymen out around here with our never ending questions regarding the legality of the case(and the many other cases) ..

And interestingly enough LE said in a presser that they wanted a one-on-one with the media. Then the following week each was interviewed in their house separately.

Would a protective order have to be filed against the parent in a domestic violence case?
CPS will demand that the non-violent parent get one or CPS will threaten the non-violent parent with removing their children.

CPS doesn't need a restraining order to tell the non-violent parent to kick out the violent parent. CPS only has to tell the non-violent parent that if the offender is not immediately removed from their home, then they will immediately take their kids away. If he non-violent parent wants to retain custody of their children, he/she has ZERO choice (about kicking out the offender) for the first 72 hours until the emergency hearing is held in family court.

On the other hand, at least me and you are surrounded by 99% beautiful, caring, wonderful females on the forum! :)

Maybe one of the parents is mentally unstable due to Isabel missing for so long now, maybe a danger to him/herself and therefor for the children.

(Since neither one of the parents is detained)

But a "no contact order ' is a very serious matter. Also, didn't the news report say that LE has stated that CPS is 'stepping up their involvement " or words to that effect ? It seems likely that there was in fact an open CPS case already...MOO''Because I have NEVER heard of a "no contact " order except in cases of founded abuse situations. It would have nothing to do with a parent's mental health, unless he/she was threatening to kill the children.

No contact orders are a stepping stone to terminating parental rights...MOO

Understood, I am not going to lie to you, I am a man and 99% of the people in this thread are likely women and yes it chaps my 🤬🤬🤬 to no end that everyone automatically jumps to the conclusion that it is the father.

It may be the father but we do not know, in fact BECKY the mother has MORE RECENT criminal charges INCLUDING CHILD ENDANGERMENT than Sergio does, all of Sergio's charges where when he was like 22 years old her was like 8 years ago long after it would be expected that one would grow out of doing the sort of stupid crap you do when youre young, like Sergio did.

This may be a case where one parents is simply depressed maybe drinking heavily and it isnt doing the kids any good to be around it, if my kid was missing I would be a freaking basketcase too, Who knows what is going on.

Yes I understand we are all here to speculate and throw out what we think is happening but that still doesnt mean it doesnt chap my 🤬🤬🤬 as a man when everyone blames the father immediately without any evidence to suggest he did anything wrong.

Just my two cents dont pay any attention to me...

Pax,
You are such a good logical, analytical thinker! It surprises me that a line was even drawn, designating male or female. Lol, sorry I didn't even think of your gender when I delighted in reading all of your posts.
I am sad that either parent appears to be under suspicion here ~ never mind if it's the mother or father!
My only other two experiences here at WS are with the Anthony saga and the Baby Lisa case. Neither of those cases seem to reflect a rush to accuse a male figure. Just the opposite, as a matter of fact.
I don't think we'll have to wait very much longer, now, to find out who LE has in their sights, do you?

IF either parent is now a more official POI...I think it will come out very soon...JMO

If they called relatives before calling 911, I am sure LE is aware of it...
So far, I am just not seeing much to be wary of, re: the call.
JMO

Hey Clu!

I know this is going to fall at an awkward place...

But I can't get over how ADORABLE your cat pictures are ALL THE TIME!:seeya:

You guys are right, only kvoa is on the no contact thing...they usually are first with stuff, don't know of any stunning inaccuracies from that but always a first time...

Isabel Celis' older brothers are now staying with only one of their parents and a relative, Tucson police said Friday.

The decision on the children's living arrangements was made after Child Protective Services met with the parents and Tucson police, said Lt. Fabian Pacheco, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.

Pacheco would not say which parent the boys were staying with, citing the ongoing investigation.

Im finding 2 things of interest in this one article

http://azstarnet.com/news/local/cri...dcc-51a5-8c81-63e4b2dcdb09.html#ixzz1uQZgEjgm

The first, about taking things out of the 911 call, why? Was there yelling at the boys? during the call. Maybe something like that.?

The second, viewing hours of surveillance around the Celis home, have the 2 older boys been drilled about what to say? and maybe they shared something at school?
I agree this is NOT good!
Sorry if thats been discussed already, Ive been absent here since the Bain case.
